@@Germs0o young kids often have blonde hair and then it darkens. I legit have dark brown hair right now, but was a bright blond kid. I think the dad was also blond as a kid.

I come to nz almost every year ( from UK) and make a point of having fish and chips on Paraparaumu beach. Yum

This is just my guess but ppl maybe downvote a video even if they don't like it in order for it to not to appear again in their recommendations.
I think is that when you click off a video without watching it, youtube will automatically downvote it but it wont be your downvote, just RUclips making sure videos related to a certain channel(s) arent in your reccomends

We had a game on road trips. Mom called it "Shut up so mommy can focus on the road."
...Was never a fan of that one.
We also had a game for roadtrips (also from New Zealand), but we used to count Goats on the side of the road. Who ever counted the most goats on their side of the road was the winner.

We used to play 'Bathtub' when I was a kid! Like 'Yellow car', you simply shouted 'bathtub' whenever you saw a bathtub in a field near the road - and whomever saw the most, won. In the old days it was quite common to see an old bathtub put in a paddock as a stand-in water trough for the animals. Sometimes we'd see an old sink or other appliance and fight over whether it counted or not! Even today, as an adult, I sometimes still look out for bathtubs when I'm driving on my own - but these days spotting one is a real achievement as farmers just don't seem to do that any more!, Another game was 'first to spot a white horse gets to make a wish!' I can't remember any of them actually coming true, but then I suspect most of the wishes were just for sweets or an ice cream!!

Not something you can do in NZ, but in the U.S. it's a pretty common game (if the kids wanted to participate) that when going on a cross-country trip, you would spot all the different license plates on the road! Like let's say you were driving from the west coast to the east coast, you would look for different states on license plates and see how many you found during your trip! 😄

Ahh, memories of road trips with my dad being the driver most of the time, sharing the backseat with two brothers, “Don’t make me stop this car or we’ll go right back home”! Our highway game was how many out of state license plates we can spot, my older brother cheated a lot on that saying he seen it first, my brother told me to raise my middle finger to the car next to us, what did I know, I was six years old! Guess who got in trouble? Me and my brother denied telling me what he did! (He was such a little stinker)! I sure know that song, the song that never ends, it’s been around for awhile, started with Sherri Lewis and lamb chop! Or other fun kids songs, drove my dad nuts... and yes, the game, “whoever can be the quietest, wins”, my brother lost that game a lot! Lol 😉😂
Our road trip game was goats. We split into two teams (one for each side of the road) and which ever team counted the most goats won. There was/is a surprising amount of goats tethered to the side of the road in New Zealand.

Good to see you have seagulls like ours in NZ...an Irish one swooped a piece of chicken off a disposable barbie on one of our family outings! Not happy ..it was the biggest piece of chicken. Very fussy seagulls here ...it was marinated chicken !! Lol 😂
