      one of my sisters boyfriends actually did this - mum cooked this lovely roast chicken with all the works - and he actually asked for - and put - tomato sauce all over it - (he did not last long - first and last meal)

      @@ludwigsolomona9607 It's a NZ band, short for Otara Millionaire's Club, headlined by Pauly Fuemana. Most of the world knows them as a "one hit wonder" for their song "How Bizarre", but they had some really awesome songs. I personally think "Breaking My Heart" is way better than "How Bizarre".     So basically the youtube algorithm knows:
    1. that i've been to new zealand
    2. that i want to live there
    3. that I still have an after-school snack around 5pm even if I'm 30 (and that I don't mind watching people eat while I eat)
    4. that I like to laugh
    5. that I like to laugh watching people around my age
    But somehow I'm not scared.

      Nz is great but you don’t want to move here bc it’s like 3$ for a loaf of bread and almost 3$ a liter for gas and 6$ for a bottle of milk and 16$ for a block of cheese so don’t move to nz trust me I have lived in nz since I was born

      Had some aussie mates over and they thought pineapple lumps were just pineapple covered in chocolate. An choco fish were fizh covered in chocolate. I was in hysterics!

    I lived in Napier for 2 years playing rugby. I dream every day about going back. I miss it so much. I travelled a lot for rugby and New Zealand is the best place I've ever visited. And the food is delicious.

    Thank you, you have just made a whole lot of New Zealander's day better. The weekend has been so tradgic for everyone, even those not involved or effected directly. It seems that a lot of major disasters here have been in Christchurch so my heart goes out to everybody. Try stay strong, Kia Kaha, NZ can fight this, love ya from Invercargill

    I'm an Australian, but there are a lot of Kiwis in my area, so all the supermarkets have a section full of New Zealand food. I can buy pineapple lumps and have chips and dip any time I want 😀

      Feijoas oh gosh! I swear I've never had anything that tastes so much like something from my childhood - and I'm from the other side of the globe. What is it about them? Feijoas are magical. I went thirty years of my life not even knowing about them but now I'd rather lose a limb than never eat a feijoa again. Love from northern Europe!

      I will give it to him that NZ pies are generally better than Aus pies from bakeries/etc, BUT i prefer the supermarket pies in Aus to the NZ supermarket ones (and they are WAY cheaper).
      Also, no one in Aus gives a crap about the ownership of pavlova haha. Never had even heard of that dispute until i moved here.

      I feel like we HAD good pies and competition was high, but a lot of them are commercialised too much now. NZ has good 'gourmet' style ones and the competition to make the 'better' pie is higher here.

    I still remember the time when I tried Marmite in a Hotel for the first time, thinking it was something like...Nutella. Oh that first bite....the realization, the pure salty, yeasty madness in my mouth, the helpless search for a way to gracefully spitting it out immediately....good times, good times.

    It's so heartening to see New Zealand come together and take such decisive action against the terror attacks you guys faced. Jacinta sure is an incredible PM, I wish Australia had a government like yours. God only knows how ours would have reacted to such an event in Australia. Stay strong

      Chelsea....you had a horrific shooting back in 1996 if I got the year right. The government proceeded to ban heaps of guns and bought any guns back to get rid of them off the street. That was a pretty good reaction if you ask me. Are you too young to remember this event?

    Yes. The Wattie’s tinned spaghetti on pizza. 🤣 I was shocked that children are taught how to make it (“pizza”)at school. My favourite pie was potato topped. Yum. Laughed so hard at your hangi footage. If someone has the space for a pit, it is nice; steamed is all right as well. Now you’ve got me missing Aotearoa, Bruh. 💕

    Pavlova dessert was named after the famous Russian ballerina Anna Pavlova, who was touring Australina and NZ in the 1920s. In Russian her surname is pronounced PAvlova, with the first syllable stressed.

    Hokey Pokey is what's in Crunchie bars. It's literally sugar, baking soda and golden syrup. You can make it yourself.

      Yes - but the hokey pokey in our ice cream is different again, it's like little "asteroids" of something the colour of hokey pokey but with a harder texture, like what you get when a sugar syrup is taken to the hard snap caramel stage. I don't know if that's a transformation of what happens to bicarb hokey pokey when it is put in ice-cream or what they get when don't add the bicarb to the sugar syrup, or something else. It would be fun to experiment though!

      As a kid, you eat anything you can think of that is easy to make. I remember as a kid in New Zealand some of the sandwiches I had were sugar sandwiches (sugar sprinkled on buttered bread), Marmite & Lettuce Sandwiches, Marmite & Potato Crisp sandwiches, Tomato Sauce Sandwiches (bread and tomato sauce).
