    • @lizziemilan2882
      @lizziemilan2882 4 года назад +192

      @siemenssx1 He's not just present though. A lot of fathers, especially if there is more than one child, leave them to play by themselves and don't engage with them much (just being present). Even though he makes these videos, it comes across that him having fun is by engaging with them and playing with them on their level instead of sitting idly in the same room. He removes the need of having excessive toys that kids only play with for a few days and instead engages their curiosity and learning through play. So being just present isn't considered good, unfortunately it seems to be the 'standard', HowtoDAD showcases being more than just present which is good.
      And he is very realistic too, in some videos he mentions things like how he will have aches from the playing/exercise - not to downplay how being a parent has its struggles with trying to keep up with a child's energy.

    Give attention and love to your kids since they are born. That's it. If you do that, they'll listen more, they'll be responsible human beings and ofc love you back. It worked in my family and now I am witnessing it working in my second family. Sounds easier said that done, but it works. If you do not have enough time to dedicate to your kids (both parents) then do not have one.

    The thing about Parenting is that there is no guide, there is no science to it, it cannot be quantified, and trying to do so makes you fail at it. there are no parenting experts, because everyone who has done it (and even everyone who hasn't) already is by the time they face it. It is one of the strongest innate things that all humans are born with the instinct of and willingness to learn. The fact Watson 'makes it up' means he's doing perfectly and exactly how God has made it out to be, across all species and all walks of life. This man is successful not as a figure in society but as the natural and obligatory guardian of his children because he accepted the guiding force of nature and met his responsibility with joy, enthusiasm and most importantly, wonder. That is how you life all of life and it is definitely how you teach it. This man is an inspiration and he shouldn't have to be to all people on this earth and a hopeful beacon to all children that should their parents fall short of how God intends their upbringing to go, there are people and the ability overall to change it for the better.
