  • Here is My easy Step by step technique for painting a Big Cat's eye and Fur. Of course I am a student of Dark to light painting in Oils. This took about 3 hours and 25 minutes, not bad for a few thousand hairs. I added my Reflection in the Leopard's eye with a little details and then toned it down, Tell me which reflection work best for you.
    Blessings always!

    What is that sweet dog telling you? He wants to paint?? Oh my! Enjoyed your art too. Do you glaze your painted fur?

      Hey, I glaze on some larger wildlife pieces. This eye was only 8 inches by 8 inches, it only took just under 4 hours.

      @@howtopaintlionstigersandpe8570 Well done!!!!! What about the dog, my dog used to like wearing the paint. She seemed to be especially fond of cerelion blue! This went well with her black fur. 😊

    Stunning 👌😍 which no paint brush do you use for giving the fur effects?ls it Acrylic colours or oil paints?

    • @howtopaintlionstigersandpe8570
      @howtopaintlionstigersandpe8570  Год назад +1

      Hey, I use #6 and #7 sable brush, on the number 7 brush, I will trim some hairs from the outer circle to make it more pointed and hold more paint because of its length. I cover the canvas with large Bristle brushes and detail with watercolor Sable brushes.
      All of my painting are Oils, because it doesn't dry quickly and allow the color to blend easier and not too sharp to avoid a cut-out look, even in the single hairs.
      Take Care.
      Johnny
