Great video.done 7 years on tippers.Hinos, iveco, volvo and finnished on 50 ton Aveling Barfords and 100ton caterpillars in a quarry.great days watching the load slide off the back in seconds.....
Thanks again for uploading lots of memories and variety. Back then Hansons, Waters, Hazelcroft, E and J Meeks, and RJ Norman's bonneted MACK'S were everyday sightings on the A6 between Buxton and Bakewell. My next door neighbor drove a Leyland Constructor with Rolls Royce 265 engine....it was facinating watching it come to life in the morning. Also there was Kraz/Belaz, Magirus Deutze 232 and Mercedes Benz 2426 ...all bonneted 6 wheeled heavy duty rock tippers and later Haulamatics based at the Longston moor quarry near Bakewell in the late 1970s.... sadly no photos.
Dennis used to make fire trucks for many years in Australia. The old split cab tipper is my favorite at 1:42 mark, what a gem! The Atkinson with the bogie tipper at 3:33 looks like it is in Australia? Nice to see the old Atkinson's...great video, good value.
Great introduction Christopher. The video is epic as usual and who doesn’t like the Atkinson? It’s maybe in any form the best looking Wagon of its time.🎥🥇
Some classic tippers here Chris and super soundtrack always like coming back to your channel 👍
Thank you, Mark yes mate there's some true classic British tippers in this one 👍
Thanks so much for what you do on your channel.
It’s not just the trucks that bring me it’s your great choice in the accompanying music .

3:33 is an odd one, CLS Scunthorpe used to operate those with Merc units in the 80s, anyone know how the brakes and lights were connected?

Yes.."YOUNGIES"...!!! Had a lovely fleet in their day. Their yard was really local to me. Lovely to see these great old wagons.
