Even though Trench and Darling's roles were relatively small in Control, they're acting and narration was so AMAZING that they left a HUGE impact on the game. The game wouldn't be NEARBY as great without them.
Well if you played Control, Jesse says this: (POTENTIONAL SPOILER): This is my mass to clean. So she basically undirectly caused this when playing as a child in Ordinary as she did not burn the last disk with the hiss. And then the old men came and fricked up the situation the most by using it.
@@tom_606HQI believe that Jesse did burn the projector slide with the Hiss on it. The only one she didn't burn was the one Polaris came from (it was called 'Hand', I think). However, the FBC later recovered the burnt slides, and the one with the Hiss on it was still usable (although they didn't know the Hiss was there ofc). They eventually used it in the Projector, with Darling and Trench making an expedition into the portal it subsequently opened, with Trench getting infected by the Hiss and bringing it back into the Oldest House.
Matthew Porretta is a legend as Dr. Darling. Don't get me wrong, I love Allan Wake's personification, but Darling seems to be more complex to play in order to be expressed as a hole: sarcastic, out-of-its-mind, desperate and absolutely funny.
He chewed the scenery, he was so alive!! It was a real shame we never got to meet him in the flesh. Hopefully we get to meet his new resonance form one day 🥲

I just played control, and it's probably one of the best games I played in a long time. I heard a lot of controversies about this game, some people didn't like it for some reason and I still can't understand why. The composition of each frame, the fluid gameplay, the way all the pieces of the story come up together, the sound design, everything is so unique.
Same-one of my favorites of all time. My only gripe is that some of the bosses (only some) are *absurdly* difficult. Overall, the game prioritizes skill, which is good, but it can seem too hard at times for some bosses. Example: The “mold one” (or whatever the name is) boss in the AWE DLC.
Remedy needs way more recognition, Max Payne, Alan Wake, Quantum Break and Control are beautiful games to it's time, with great and creative stories and awesome gameplay, can't wait for Alan Wake 2

I just finished the game and loved it. The cast here all portrayed their characters engagingly and beautifully - but for me, Martti Suosalo absolutely stole the show as Ahti. If there's any behind-the-scenes material you guys did with him, I'd sure love to see it.

Control is easily my favorite game of 2019 and I hope a sequel is in the works because this game has so much attention to detail, the characters and the world building is top notch!
You know what was really interesting about this game is where they took their visual inspirations from. Watching the movie Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy I feel like there were a number of locations the game either drew from the same inspiration or was inspired by.

Honestly, Remedyverse is the video game video game version of Nolanverse. The complexity is truly worth a dig.
You know what was really interesting about this game is where they took their visual inspirations from. Watching the movie Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy I feel like there were a number of locations the game either drew from the same inspiration or was inspired by.
