My personal game of the year. That entire maze sequence is my favorite level in any game in a long time, if not my favorite level in a game ever.
@@dandyprime5338 Dude, totally agree, for multiple reasons, the music, the atmosphere and the nod to Alan Wake within the music, if you caught it. ;)
@@voided_reality6863 Control is actually the first Remedy game I've ever played. I have known of Max Payne, Alan Wake, and Quantum Break prior to playing Control, but I did not know who created them nor that they were all affiliated with each other. I have always wanted to play Alan Wake though.
I did encounter many Alan Wake references within Control though, which I thought was cool, even if I didn't quite understand what was being referenced. It'd be nice to somehow play Alan Wake at some point just so I can go back to Control and experience the references again and understand them.
The music was something I did not expect at all during the Ashtray Maze sequence (despite Ahti literally giving me his cassette player). I guess I was more so just questioning "how" a cassette player was going to get me through a shifting maze physically rather than thinking that the music being played on the cassette player would guide me through it. All in all, a masterfully crafted sequence in my book. The song is awesome. Discovering that the Old Gods of Asgard and Poets of the Fall are one in the same band was a pretty cool realization. I really enjoy it when games integrate pop culture into their narrative somehow.
@@dandyprime5338 That section really gave me that doom feel. Not so much the shifting illusionary environments (which were very cool btw) but the high speed action levels with very much present heavy music. Really great.

Courtney Hope is one of the few actors I can unequivocally say with certainty that I would pay to see reprise her role in a live-action spinoff/reimagining/what-have-you

5 years ago when Ms Hope showed up on my soap, Bold and the Beautiful, as the zany, eccentric Sally Spectra I never thought id be playing her in a video game years later
Why isn't there more hype for Control? You guys need to get out there.. do interviews with big You Tube channels.. more gameplay... more details.. just start doing things to get people interested to start gathering hype asap.
As for myself.. I'm getting this day 1.
Remedy doesn't need to hype anything, they're Remedy.
Well we Finnish people really aren't good at that, pushing ourself to out there to be known etc.. But I respect it also, there is almost no vanity in us Finns what unfortunately does Americans example have.

@@sebastianalhares Quantum Break is good. It's half television series half video game but it works for what it was going for and it has the best time travel story I've seen.
I want to play it again but I need another Xbox One lol.
Can't wait for the game! She played her character amazingly well in Quantum Break previously, so I have high hopes ;)

She is incredibly beautiful. I hope they make a sequel. It's not always a high profile Actor/actress does voice acting for video games.

Yeah really! I found it kind of distracting and opposite the tone of the interview except for the part where she was asked, "What's your Jesse face?" and she got serious then the music shifted and made sense finally.

I just beat Quantum break again last night. Realize she plays Beth Wilder in that game too. And the college kid from that game is Dylan in control

I'm watching this way later and gotta wow such a WEIRD game and these interviews are so wtf as well lol Tbh I'm liking how they captured the feeling of "Control" now I want more. For sure will see it to the end and play the expansions, even now I'm like wooow what these devs on lol this is crazy but interesting.
They made Jesse Faden the same appearance as the actress, making the game a greater mindfuck.
Courtney hope for jill valentine in resident evil 3 remake , a very perfect fit for the role . Hopefully capcom would earn her the honor of playing the role of my favorite resident evil character .

@@imjustagirlnotathreat2289 remakes are meant to be a new vision to the game , developers are not required to stick to the original game , take resident evil 2 remake as an example , stephanie panisello did a great job in bringing claire back to life after more than 20 years . So whats the problem if courtney hope take the chance to portray the new version of jill valentine , she is so charismatic for the role . I wish from my deep heart that capcom would hire her to play jill valentine, i would be so happy for that , we will wait untill next year when capcom will announce the resident evil 3 Remake .
@@jassimalkhamis8644 yeah Capcom did do a great job with the new Leon and Claire. I hope they guess the right actress for Jill too but in my mind Julia Voth will always be the real Jill because of all the RE games with her face.
Not Jill Valentine but maybe Regina from Dino Crisis, that game needs a remake and Regina has redish hair and beautiful face like Courtney, she will be perfect for Regina.
She should've been Claire Redfield in RE2 remake.

Another game where we play as Jesse please!!!!! I’ll take anything in that universe but I’d love to play more as the director.
I thought that her lips were done a little strange in the game as they seem to have a life of there own but no they do have a life of their own and its adorable.
I noticed that too. Her lips keep moving lol. she's a babe though. makes playing the game so much better knowing it's this chick. Beth Wilder too. that's why I remember thinking 'that female character is stunning' when I played quantum break. Now we know why.

There is a playable part after the credits though... But it's been a while since I played it so I don't know exactly how long it is.
I do think there will be always an argument or a debate that which remedy game is best and I think every game is masterpiece

I’m not on social media, and obviously I missed the cut-off for Q&A but I was curious if this game was inspired by the book “House of Leaves”? The shifting, paradoxical architecture and the literary style feel heavily influenced by it, and I’ve been always been intrigued by the idea of that book ever getting a visual/cinematic experience. Maybe that’s something Remedy could do someday. :P
If you enjoy reading, i suggest you start reading about SCP. The game is heavily inspired by the SCP Foundation
Try reading SCP-173 SCP-682 SCP-049 and you'll realize how similar the FBC and The SCP Foundation

If you finished all the main and side missions (including DLC) go to Dylan's cage for the secret cutscene
This is the first time I've seen the actress in real life. The game captured her vibe so well. Like she has these twitchy mini eye movements here that made me go "oh yeah, that's Jesse".

I started playing Control Ultimate Edition 2 months ago and completed it and got all of the achievements in half a month.
I've been a fan of Remedy since Max Payne and Control was a fucking amazing game and I enjoyed every second of it and looking to Control II.
Courtney Hope is great as Jesse Faden and glad Remedy used her likeness and voice instead of her likeness only.
Courtney Hope also has beautiful hair and love all her facial expressions and I hope to see her more in video games.
Now I have to play and finish the game for the second time...
