It's criminal what the middle men are doing to customers. Not sure why this isn't considered price gouging but I guess I'm not surprised. The people no longer have representatives. We're on our own.
This table arrived well packaged and on time. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxn94T8Mu1iMnsLCMNOI9srXSsLkI4JXKW Like another reviewer advised, I pulled everything out and made sure everything was included (everything was!). I built it alone and it took me about an hour. The color is great and for the price the lift part works well. As others have mentioned, it’s not the smoothest opening/closing, but it works. The screws do show, but I plan to order white sticker covers if that bothers us too much. Really happy with this table! UPDATE: it’s been over a year since we got this coffee table and we still love it! It gets HEAVY use as our dining table, foot rest, and school desk. Over time, the opening and closing mechanism has gotten smoother. I added a new photo with the white screw cover stickers. They blend in perfectly and make it look a little cleaner. 100% recommend!!!
You continue to amaze with your generosity and your skill. There are so many other things that you have created that we want to build. We already have your garden work table outside that we built and I love it. It snowed again overnight here in Maine, so it is actually covered in snow! Thank you for your kindness.
I feel so blessed to have found your channel. I started refinishing furniture and now wood working to help supplement our income as we have 5 kids, one is special needs, and money is always so tight. This is a great build that I think could really help us out and the fact your plans are free, is amazing. Thank you for being such a lovely person, and talented to boot!!
I was thinking about an octagon picnic table. Someone gave me plans for one, but was not enthusiastic about building it because of the complicated angles. This is PERFECT and timely. Thank you so much! I love your plans.
If lumber wasn't so expensive over here right now, I'd put that project on my to-do list for this summer. It looks great for small spaces. Maybe next year.
I made my benches separate so they can easily be moved when needed in another area.i added a removable lazy Susan. And poly eurothaned the whole thing.a very fun build.thanks Anna
@@AnaWhiteDIY You and I both! It’s costing builders $24k more to build an average home just due to the cost of lumber. I repurpose and use scraps for parts of the build when possible.

Ana, nice job. I'm so wowed by your plans. You just make it look so easy. I believe a well matured kid, around 12 & up, could easily build this table all by theirselves using your plans. Just thank you for everything you do to help us DIY to get the job done w/ease. Be safe & God bless your big heart, Chris from Missouri
Loved this video and built myself one! Stained it while it was apart, so it's totally protected head to toe! Used Arborcoat translucent in Teak color....it's beautiful. It's a heavy chunky table, so if you can build it where you want it to sit, that would be great. I didn't have that luck. I have one issue....I find when I sit on the sides where the top planks are running left to right, the table wobbles a bit. Am not sure if it's because it is sitting on the grass, maybe a bit uneven ground? But we turned it and moved it as much as I could, and still it shifts. Am going to let it settle into the ground, maybe add some more screws here and there. But just wondering if anyone else noticed that. When you sit on the other two sides, where the top planks are coming towards you, is solid...no issues. any ideas????
I love your videos. You inspire me to build. I think it is so wonderful that you have free plans. You're probably the only one who has free plans and I know many viewers appreciate you for that. I know I do. Keep being one of the best.

Hi Ana thanks ,you’re excellent teacher.I have easy question you cut the top 471/2”and the size of the frame attached to the legs (it is optional dimension)
Ana you always make it look so easy! I love the design! Definitely going to crank one out this weekend! 🙌 and as always thank u for FREE plans!! Ana rocks!
The bench seats are cantilevered over the edge with no support under them. This means that when one heavy person sits down and puts their legs under the table then the whole table will tip over.
Looks awesome I would love to try to make one myself but what about sanding down the surfaces like where you sit and the top and possibly using a router over the edges of the seats and the top just to make it look nice and so the edges aren't as sharp?
Looks great! Hopefully Spring has sprung in your neck of the woods and you will be able to use that table real soon. Thanks for sharing another great video. ATB : )
Wow! I absolutely love the look of this. I'm definitely adding this to my projects list. Thanks so much for sharing and also for providing the free plans. It is very much appreciated. Keep up the great work Ana!
it is very heavy! Have you ever considered stock less than 1.5 thick? also the rigidity seems to lack a bit if it is pulled..to move Also i did not see a difference on attaching the stretchers that would make them more secure lumber cost here was 249$
It will hold a good amount of weight with solid 2x4’s. Another option is bracing it to the ground if you’re putting it in a grass area, but honestly you’re fine and that would be overkill.
Nice table Ana. How about making a rectangle one so the kids can put there drinks in the open lined cavity in the middle of the table or even to keep the bowl of Guacamole cool in that cavity full of ice. Some things are just best cold, ya think.
I just did the math and for the materials listed on Anna’s website it is coming out to $198.48 to make this picnic table from Home Depot Incase anyone is wondering Could be different in other states I’m in NYC

Hi Anna In the middle of making this bench at the moment and there’s an error in your measurements (didn’t work for me anyway) When you changed the apron layout it made the table larger but the tabletop did not reflect this. We made the cuts and realised half way through they’re too small for the top. If you want a pic I can send one through. So we remeasured the table top at 48 1/2’ to make up for the difference. The bench prices still work out at 47 1/2’. We have to go and buy more wood to fix the table top pieces. But besides that it’s gonna look awesome! Really do love your designs and instructions. Thought you might need the feedback. Many thanks

would it matter much if I used 5/4 x 6 deck boards for the top and seats instead of 2x6 boards?
That should work fine, may have to adjust a little for the width of the board if yours are a true 6" width.
