Moelwyn Mawr - Snowdonia

- Ascent of Moelwyn Mawr from Tanygrisiau. One of my favorite hikes in Snowdonia I have done so far. Involves some simple scrambling in the higher ridge sections. By far one of the best panoramic views from the summit I have ever had, probably because of the mountains central and more remote location within the national park. Some interesting old industrial landscape. We lose the path towards the end and so had to descend off piste!
At last a good vid of the Gaps above Stwlan! waited ages for this, been to stwlan but not above? Fantastic.
Oh oh! noticed that when you were coming down you somehow missed Rhosydd Quarry? its at end of that path?????, you would easily have found the path to Cwmorthin! easy peasy homerun, but no, you did the very difficult route back to the road, is almost vertical? ah well, nothing broken!
Which car park did you park in?
I went up Moelwyn Mawr and Moel yr Hydd today nice vid.
Hi Adam. Good video. Did that route on bank holiday monday and had the same trouble on the decent. I couldn't find a way off, so carried on to the works and came down a spoil heap, bit hairy but safer than those cliffs.

Adam, Did you say that Blaenau Ffestiniog is twinned with Mosul at 1.34!? lol. I believe however that it is twinned with Rawson in Chubut, Patagonia - founded by our Welsh forefathers. I still gave your vlog a like though ;-)
Hi sorry late reply, I said it was twinned with Mawdor from the Lord of the Rings , as the landscape reminded me of it from the film lol. No offence intended. Wow that's really interesting about Patagonia. Would love to go there one day for a walking trip. BW Adam

Yeah she is very fit! Does lots of circuit training. Having said that I use the excuse of having to stop periodically to take the video!!
