I love The Gower and Rhosilli, especially walking out to Worm’s Head when the tide is out, but I think I’d put Barafundle above it. It’s just stunning and hidden and the walk there is just 👌. Wales, esp Pembrokeshire is simply stunning.
Thank you, Robbie! We're spending vacation in Wales and Scotland in June 2024 and really appreciate your suggestions for places to visit. You have a great channel.
I’m planning a trip to visit this beautiful country for the first time from the U.S. to Dublin to Wales. Q 1) Is the ferry from Dublin to Holyhead the best way to get there (on a budget)? Q 2) Is getting a rental car a good way to see Wales (Snowdonia Park, castles, etc.)? It looks like there’s beauty everywhere…we just want to explore the sites. Thank you
Purchased both Wales and NC500 books and Map. Books are so thorough. You’ve definitely done the hard work and made it easier for us to plan our trips this year. Really looking forward to getting the camper out. Your books are a godsend thankyou😊.
Bought your guide to the NC500 for our trip in October last year and more or less built our whole itinerary based on your tips and favourites. Pre ordered the Road Trip Wales book for Christmas and have just finished putting together our 8 night road trip which we are planning to take in March this year. Love your guides and videos, keep up the good work.
Thanks for yet another mini documentry showcasing the best of the island of Great Britian. It is clear that you are very fond of Wales. There will always be welcome here for you! Thanks. Greetingts from Cardiff. 👍

Just received your book today and have been reading through it tonight - really great. We bought a campervan last year so will definitely be visiting all those lovely locations in Wales. Thanks for the clear and informative book. Tell your dogs `I said hi 👋😊
Thanks for another great video Robbie. We are looking to visit Wales in October 2023 and do a road trip with many of these sights included. Next on the shopping list is your guide book.
Just brought your NC500, done most of Wales but will be investing in the Welsh one soon. All the best Robbie I'm from Stoke on Trent so not far from you. your mileage graphs are a big help

Hi, I’m gonna be staying in Oxford & want to take a day trip by train. Does your area have any walk/hiking trails? I see it’s a 3.5 hr train ride so I want to know if it’s worth visiting (Im from US). Thanks.
Hi, Robbie - a quick update for you - we no longer use the Victorian term 'Brecon Beacons', but have officially reverted to the proper name - 'Y Fannau' ( a 'Fan' {van} is an upland moor, and the 'au' ending is the plural. Also, 'pennyvan'? PEN UH VAN ! But an impressive video, and one that will help lots of our visitors, I'm sure! Diolch yn fawr, Den, Llangyfelach.
Thanks Denis - I appreciate the names have changed (the same for Snowdon etc). It’s going to be difficult for us non Welsh speaking folk to pronounce these correctly, I’m terrible with Welsh 😳 Thanks for watching 👍

I'll be in London for 4 days in mid March coming from the east coast of the U.S. Which of these locations in closest to London for a worth it day trip?
Hi thanks for the video, but Im going to be in Oxford and wanted to take a train for a day trip. Looks like the Cardiff area is the only practical location. Everything else, like Tenby, is a 4-5 hour train trip. Any suggestions for parts of southern Wales closer to England ?😊. Thanks!
Depends what rocks you boat. If it’s history and castles, there is plenty to see around Cardiff. Bannau Brycheiniog is close, but you would need transport. By train you could visit Barry with its beach and Gavin and Stacey connection. St Fagans Welsh Folk Museum is a good day out. Cardiff itself has a lot to offer, Cardiff Castle, Victorian shopping arcades, The National museum and art gallery, with its great collection of impressionist art, Cardiff Bay, Penarth. Cowbridge all close. More than enough for a weekend in the city itself, best civic centre after Washington, loads of good restaurants, parks, river trips, Principality stadium, etc.
@@siarlb8115Thanks for this great info. It looks like I’m looking at about 3.5 hrs train travel each way to Cardiff from Headington, where I’m based. Will be a long day!
