Hey folks. I'm irish and you did a fantastic job in this video. Sadly, I havnt been to many of these sites. .......but this week alone, I've been to Mizen head ( amazing ) , three castle head and Dursey Island. What this country has to offer is amazing. Mizen head is right up there with rhe Grand Canyon for awe inspiring beauty.
You would really have loved the history around the Rock of Cashel and Cahir castle close by , not to mention Kilkenny Castle close too. , I am Irish and I want to hear your narration on everything in Ireland now !!! Personally having lived outside Ireland for many years , I think Ireland is not Ireland without the people, they blend with the experience you didn’t mention them because you were focusing on the mystic Ireland but I think they are the one thing 😉✌️

Freaking love this!!! This video is so magical and captivating! You both compliment each other so well and the cinematography, commentary and content is well above most. Why the discovery network has not picked this up I have no clue!! Great job keep it up!! Love it!! #discoverychannel #travelchannel #netflix
One of the best vlogs about my home country on RUclips and thank you so much for taking the time to share it. Just subscribed to your channel and looking forward to watching more of your wonderful work over the coming months. Joe
New subscriber from Texas👋. Very Nicely Done video! 👏 We're planning a trip to Ireland in 2025 and this video is SUPER helpful! Like you, my husband has been to Ireland, but it's been several years. I'm so looking forward to sharing this beautiful experience with him.
We loved Blarney! So many awesome things there that we didn’t get to see either, like the garden that only has weeds in it? Have you heard of that one?
Loved your video quality and style! Unlike another commentator I really liked Blarny castle. It was clearly made for protection, and not a fancy Chateau. It was tall and narrow. It was very popular to kiss the blarney stone, but no thank you!
Excellent video, with some breathtaking scenery. Glad you enjoyed your trip to Ireland. On your next visit, I highly recommend visiting Connemara, Sligo, and on up to Donegal. Donegal is the most beautiful part of Ireland in my opinion, white sandy beaches and beautiful scenery at every turn. They also have some of the biggest sea cliffs in Europe, Slieve League.
You're spoilt for choice in Donegal, you can have a white sandy beach all to yourselves. If you get the nice weather in Donegal, there's nowhere like it in Ireland. So much to see there too!
Thanks for sharing! I love the image from the camera. What happened at 19:21 with the image? I have heard that Panasonic can be unreliable in some ways. 10/10 for this story though, thank you for sharing.
That was a rendering issue, it was from my software, not the camera. Because I was exporting in HDR and adding denoise, some of the clips can have issues like that. Just a bug with Davinci Resolve right now :/
Thanks for your amazing commentary, I can see why you two are so much in Love. You’re both amazing couple. I hope you have many many happy years together.
Thank you so much, 6 years and counting. If she hasn’t gotten annoyed with me yet, I think we have a good long while ahead of us:) so glad you enjoyed it!
I watched this entire video and I thought it was incredible, production quality to narration. I went to subscribe and noticed you only had 837 subscribers, I’m in shock 😂
Haha thank you man! Glad you enjoyed it! RUclips is an uphill battle, a few days ago we only had 500 ish subs but I think the algorithm finally found us 😂
Great video, I thoroughly enjoyed it. My wife and I visited Ireland about 25 years ago as part of a motorcoach tour. We'd love to return and do as you did, driving ourselves. So I have to ask, how was the driving experience for you? I'd be a bit apprehensive of driving on the left.
In Dublin it’s a bit scary, but outside of there it’s not bad. The biggest thing for me was learning to hug the right side of the road as I drove. I never noticed how much I do that with the left side of the road back in the states. Because you can gauge distance better with the side of the car you are driving from- hugging that side keeps you safer. I actually whacked my passenger side mirror while driving my first time in Dublin because I wasn’t doing that. Once I adjusted to it, everything else was pretty straightforward. Would highly recommend
Thank you! I want to rekindle the love for the old European cultures and traditions. Nowadays people seem to be ashamed of them for some reason. I hope we can shed some light on this forgot beauty.
Thank you so much! Are you talking about the black vest? It’s actually a heated vest from Amazon, it just uses a portable phone charger to power it. If you are asking about the jacket I’m not sure, I’ll have to ask!
It's crazy that they're still burying people in sites like Muckross. I visited a couple of places in Ireland that had fresh graves, but the church was a ruin and looked like it had been for decades. Guess the churchyards are still in use. Ailwee looked awesome. I did the Hawk Walk at Ashford Castle and it probably the highlight of my trip. Great video - made me want to go back :-)
Thank you! Yeah we were surprised too. I’m sure it’s a family tradition for some of those people, probably the same place their ancestors were buried going back a while. Crazy that they still have room to do that. And yes, Hawk walk is definitely a hidden gem. Had to pry my wife away from the cute birds haha
Thank you! I shot this on the Panasonic S1- but I would recommend the camera I’m currently using- the Panasonic S5ii. It has the same image sensor but really good stabilization and autofocus, which I wish I had on this trip!
Now this was an experience I instantly subbed. I been wanting to travel my entire life but had a few hiccups along the way. Going on my 1st international trip at almost 30 soon. Btw will you have the iceland scotland or japan vids be coming out sometime this year?
Heck yeah! I’m so excited for you!! Where’s your first trip going to be? And yes, my plan is to get them out before the new year! I do wedding video and photo as my main hustle, so once the season is over it’s full steam ahead!
@@AtlasUnlimited 1. I am huge into untouched nature which it has in droves. 2. All my favorite Japanese foods are from there. Miso Ramen Butadon Potatoes corn etc. 3. Sapporo for a few reasons. Its climate is most similar to my own in New England. The city was actually developed through the aid of few prominent people in my state MA, For example The Sapporo Agricultural college was cofounded by them and is now part of hokkaido uni
Well the Blarney Stone? Do you know what it actually is? Generations of sentries needed somewhere to relieve themselves and latrines were provided. No plumbing or piping, just a big hole and a long drop from the battlements to the ground. You want to kiss it? Off you go!
Hi...we just found you! Great video (you may want to cut it in half and milk it👍We got so into your Adventure, that we didn't notice it was 2:00 am!😮 We watched up to the Famine house (hope no nightmares now 🥺) & will see the rest tomorrow.( Ps: I just subscribed before this to a channel with your name said 2 subscribers?...your channel also?)
I think there is another random Channel by someone else that has Atlas in the name, we are up to 600 subs this month (wohoo!) I actually do have sections of this video as their own episode, but for some reason RUclips blew up this hour long version, so maybe long-form is king? Thank you, so glad you are enjoying it so far!

Ireland where Mythology, Legends ,And Superstition, And History Collide. A place of beauty and elegance. I am a mixed heritage person adopted at 5 years old brought up Catholic but not of free choice. We ae all not brought up in families and religions not always of our choics byt we are who we are .but I understand te relgios conflicts in Ireland between The Catholics and Protestants. For Centuries. But i don't get involved in international conflicts of any kind. I want to come to ireland to know my family history culture legacy and heritage to know the people and the towns without fear , Prejudice, Or Hatreds to blind all of us in ways we know are wrong. Its about co existing as a community.
I hope you do get a chance soon, I have family history there too, it feels like stepping back into the lives of my ancestors. It will probably feel like that for you too
Would you be willing to share how much the trip cost you in total? I am in my 70s and my sister and my daughter and I want to go and we are on fixed incomes kind of like to know.
Let me look through some receipts and see what I can find out. For just the Ireland portion I think it was around $2500, we really tried to keep costs as low as possible while seeing as much as possible
2 comments: (i) Most Irish people have no time for Conor McGregor & consider him a poor representation of our country (ii) There was no famine in 1847, just a failure of the potato crop. There were plenty of other crops & meats (beef, lamb, pork & poultry), unfortunately, the British stole it for export to Britain.
It is desperation for validation when a woman behaves this way, particularly when the male is already married and she is married. There is no dignity in it and definitely reflects poorly on any association with the royal family, when they seek to epitomize decorum
Fantastic job I am pure irish from Baile átah cliath gallowgallss they are right 0ne and half million live in Dublin in Dublin glasnevin cenetery more people a buried than alive in Dublin so get your facts right before you commit on things you obviously have no clue on
Ayyy, I wouldn’t go that far! I gave the stats for the Dublin metro area by accident, not the city itself. Haha, good catch though! Thanks for dropping in for a watch!

I love the videography in this, what camera are you using? Subbed too, great doc!
Thank you! I shot this on the Panasonic S1- but I would recommend the camera I’m currently using- the Panasonic S5ii. It has the same image sensor but really good stabilization and autofocus, which I wish I had on this trip!
@@AtlasUnlimited That's what I loved about it, the focus on the person, rather than the surroundings. Thanks, I'll check that camera out for sure.
@TheWanderingIrishman thank you! It really is a lovely camera. Also my wife is gorgeous, so it’s hard not to focus on her haha
@@AtlasUnlimited I'd have to agree, she was awesome ☺️looking forward to future vids my friend
@@AtlasUnlimited … I don’t want to sound like a creep but you are right about your wife, she is an attractive woman with a great personality.
@@AtlasUnlimited I am going to Japan. But instead of doing the traditional route. I am doing Tokyo and Hokkaido
Wow! That’s very unconventional- what are you doing in Hokkaido?
@@AtlasUnlimited 1. I am huge into untouched nature which it has in droves.
2. All my favorite Japanese foods are from there. Miso Ramen Butadon Potatoes corn etc.
3. Sapporo for a few reasons. Its climate is most similar to my own in New England. The city was actually developed through the aid of few prominent people in my state MA, For example The Sapporo Agricultural college was cofounded by them and is now part of hokkaido uni
Oh wow, I had no idea! You’ll feel right at home then! Any cool nature spots you are going to visit that I should check out?
Super video. I love her coat, who is the maker of it?
Which coat?
Did you have a drone? Fantastic views. Well done!
Thank you! Yes, we took our drone with us :)
That does sound nice right about now….
Well the Blarney Stone? Do you know what it actually is? Generations of sentries needed somewhere to relieve themselves and latrines were provided. No plumbing or piping, just a big hole and a long drop from the battlements to the ground. You want to kiss it? Off you go!
HAHAHA
Curious - what time of year did you guys visit Ireland?
First and second week of October!
What drone did you use ? Looking into one….thanks
Mavic pro 2
And Slieve League in Donegal has cliffs three times as high as the cliffs of Moher.
Oh wow, I had no idea!
Nice
Thanks man!
When did you travel and what airline did you take?
We booked through United Airlines and went in early October!
Hello Atlas Unlimited, I saw that you are missing something when you are uploaded video. That's why your channel not rank on top search results.
I knew it! Well, better luck next time
Hi...we just found you!
@@AtlasUnlimited So, there are fellow night owls in Iowa🦉😃we're in Florida...still awake😴...We deleted the other channel...yay 4u 600!!!👋 We'll be watching and passing your link.👍👏👏
Yay!! Night owls for the win 😂 thank you!
Any idea why the flag was at half mast?
No idea, I feel like it always is now adays :/
It will probably feel like that for you too
@@AtlasUnlimited i hope so as long as things remain peaceful there even though Catholics and Protestants Don't Like each other
Zo mooi
🙏🏼 😊
Blarney castle is a bit overrated. I'd recommend cahir Castle or Bunratty Castle
Oh wow! We’ll have to check those out, never heard of them!
I live less than 10 minutes from Blarney my whole life and I've never been, but the gardens are supposed to be incredible
That’s how it goes! There is such a thing as living too close to something beautiful
@@AtlasUnlimitedBunratty castle built 1425 also does banquets and has a folk park and 19th century village .
That sounds lovely, do they rent it out for events?
Fun video, but found it searching for HDR documentaries. Poor use of contrast for HDR. Shadows are too black and highlights are overblown.
Good to know! I’ve had trouble getting consistent looks on each device. What did you watch on?
😊
Would you be willing to share how much the trip cost you in total? I am in my 70s and my sister and my daughter and I want to go and we are on fixed incomes kind of like to know.
Let me look through some receipts and see what I can find out. For just the Ireland portion I think it was around $2500, we really tried to keep costs as low as possible while seeing as much as possible
37:00 The population has still not recovered to pre famine levels
Wow, had no idea. That’s so tragic
The population of Dublin taking in the metropolitan area is close to Three million people.
When did you travel? You seem to be wearing lots of clothes. Just wondering as my partner and I are going over next week. Thank you
Thank you! We went in early October. A bit chilly, but still worth it. Next week is going to be awesome for you
Beautiful, but to much of Jaycee’s giggling, 😂
Haha, I’m her husband so maybe I’m not the best judge of that haha
Not that crazy. Theres an entire underground town in Australia because of the constant cool temperature.
Holy cow! What is the city called?
@@AtlasUnlimited its called Coober pedy in south Australia
Dang, that sounds awesome!
cailíní deas
She is a beauty
You did the worst parts of Ireland apart from Clare. What are you thinking?
Hahaha what places would you recommend?
I'm not sure about Conor McGregor anymore.
:( too soon
2 comments: (i) Most Irish people have no time for Conor McGregor & consider him a poor representation of our country
(ii) There was no famine in 1847, just a failure of the potato crop. There were plenty of other crops & meats (beef, lamb, pork & poultry), unfortunately, the British stole it for export to Britain.
That’s crazy, can’t imagine living through that
It is desperation for validation when a woman behaves this way, particularly when the male is already married and she is married.

Wow why the need to be rude !
