I make the same sort of sandwich , but i pan fry the salami first and make it crispy :) - Try a steak, cheese and onion sandwich with branston pickles with mustard mayo :) Great Vid mate

My current go to is Ham, 100 grams of cheddar, Gouda, and a little bit of pecorino, some homemade rémoulade and of course some butter. To finish the product I put about 50 grams of cheese on the outside and cooking it until it's crispy.
I used to live off your toastie recipes when I was poor and had no oven and I never got fat 🤷🏼♀️

Triangles always infuse the flavours better for me. Or you could go the left side soldier. Then cut a third of square from the remainder. Our Aussie grandfather passed that tradition on to us 😬🍀

Pan friedies are brilliant, does not matter what you put in them!! The challenging part is the flip, that's make or break.

My favourite toasty is fried spam hash brown fried egg bacon and cheese. Bit of prep work, but worth every second. And keep the fat to cook the toasty 🍻👍🇦🇺

GREGGO! I made this almost EXACT same thing in the air fryer last week on a roll, wrapped in foil so it got all hot and melty. It's one of my favorite sandwiches. The only thing different was I didn't add tomatoes and my sauce was mayo and sub hots, along with provolone and deli sliced yellow American, so pretty much the same lol. I also added a ton of onion like you did. Ugh I need another one
20/10 would absolutely recommend. It's like a hot Italian sub

Looks great. I like too mix meat too in squizzed grilled sandwiches. I used 4 kind of meat. Smoked ham, some salami, roast beef sliced, and pastrami, but i have a middle bread too that im toasting and press all togheter with cheese. Vegetables and bbq saus or whatever u like too have i put it on the side of the plate too eat it with every chunk

Looks so good beautiful id demolish that in seconds i have cut the sandwiches like you did but cut in half again to give smaller peices
only thing i would have added would be a beaten egg into the bread (french toast) that way you can't go wrong with cooking time cos when the french toast is cooked so will everything be inside and the taste would be so much better also even better with a spread of cream cheese over the french toast just to make it a banger!

Now eating that sandwich everyday is super healthy, especially for the heart!
We put a pot of water on top to weigh the toastie down while it's cooking. Good results.

I've been out all night at the pubs. I just made this, and it was freaking fantastic. The only thing I changed was adding a little putanesca sause instead of pizza sauce.

Fry the salami and meats in the pan first, and then fry the sandwich in the meat juices.

Funnily enough I was going to mention I do my toasties in a Sandwich Press ( didn't know Greg has one )...that scungy pan in that modern kitchen does look out of place though!

Why not use low fat margarine ?

Looks nice! Tip for next time… Use a lower heat and put a lid on so as to properly heat the inside.
