I work for scania, scania assistance to be exact, and to say turbo or ecu is ridiculous! The turbo only has a speed sensor and motor on it that’s connected to the ecu. I’d seriously be asking why they can’t definitely diagnose it let’s hope your dealer has checked the 15amp fuse and relay for the turbo 🫣
You work in a call centre....pipe down little one.
@@gixxerm90 what’s your problem pal? Trying to offer advice as I’ve seen this miss diagnosed multiple times before. Maybe I’ll upload a video next time I see v8 with egr and this type of holeset turbo.
Just discovered your channel ye are brilliant, an honest view on everything happy Christmas 🤶
Damn I think the ECU is about £1,000 ish. Sorry to hear about all the troubles with the R. Great video guys!
Ayy up Nicole & Ben,great vlog by the way Couldn’t Scania have loaned one of there trucks,The truck will look great when all the work is finished and I recon the ECU Will be about a grand
I'm constantly surprised that people find Scania parts expensive. Don't you know they are made of Unobtainium, gold and other precious metals mined by Trolls in the depths of Swede land and delivered by helicopter in an ermine lined box studded with precious jewels! Seriously, try Keltruck they have a load of refurbished parts available.
Merry Christmas from New Zealand.
I always remember the fitter where I used to work saying that Scania was a licence to print money.
Af just found Ur RUclips channel a love it keep posting videos am watching
Hi Nicole another great video hope you get your truck sorted.Just wanna say have a Happy xmas to you both from your friends in Fife Scotland xx
Thank you! You too!
I’m afraid as said before should have bought of keltruck in stead of Irish. Shit u will learn a expensive lesson
can you get a scanned printout prior to starting the job? from the service dept ( just a thought from an old school mechanic )
Hi nicolle an ben i am owner driver i have 3 scania trucks the parts for these trucks ars expensive but i must say your truck its lovely color but who ever was operating it must have neglected a lot of maintenance on it as this truck has been into scania service centre far far to much . It may have looked all lovely but it has been very poorly maintained. You have to keep these trucks very well maintained or you will get a huge bite on your ass as these trucks not maintained are money pits you see lots on the road but a lot are struggling to make any profit so they get run and runed till it really gets ridiculous. You really need to know everything about these as if not you end up with loads of problems hopefully you get this all sorted and you can then start making the money but remember dont let maintenance schedule fall behind or this will really drain your pockets
2000000
Going by the colour, i,d say it came from the fleet of MULGREW, a very large haulier in Ireland, they did pick the truck up in Ireland

A very good firday evening to you all from Wellington Somerset
some canny ups and downs with the truck. Still, its a belter. We must have 4 of our trucks at Scania weekly at work from something little like light stalks to full airbags being replaced. I'm never way from the place. At least I'm not paying for it ;). Good vid, keep it up
Sounds more like a fuel problem then a ecu or turbo is the fuel filter clean in the tanks or is the vacuum line come off /damaged the turbo that can lose you a lot of power and stop your turbo from working it happen to me a vacuum line had come off and had no power at all to be honest I think they maybe taking you for a ride in my opinion I would definitely get a second opinion if that is possible.
Great video
Nice truck I’m guessing o/f is required 😊
nice action on that handbrake 😍😛
It's not hard to diagnose a knackered turbo, and a really bad idea to drive it more than across the yard if it has let go
About £2500? They aint cheap. Did you look at a reconditioned or remapped option?
Hi Nicole, sorry to hear of all your troubles😪 Ecu prob about 500 pounds plus labour and programming .
On the plus side you always look amazing, remain positive and do great things.
Wish there were more people like u.
Take care and stay safe xx
😂😂😂
ECU 500 pounds at the price il buy 10
AGE 60 , 33 yrs on off, trucking . Mostly (AGENTCY & SMALL FAMILY COMPANYS ) . PREF work drive only on (PAYE ) HOURS WEEKLY PAY BASIS . Forget new ECU RIP OFF / CON new 1 go same way . Theres companys around repair reprogram 1/3 price NEW . MERRY XMAS / HAPPY NEW YEAR .
and they say Daf is bad!
That really sucks, having so many break downs on a new truck,it’s to bad u can’t be compensated of some kind like ( GIVE ME A NEW ONE TRUCK!!!!! lol ) do you own or lease ur trailer?
id be having words if they left my motor in that state when I picked it up, did you say something. - the wagons a baddie though. - I reckon the ECUs £5,000
Why dont you send the ecu to the ecu doctor for repair?????
How much is a truck wash from a mobile unit ?
Hi. The cost of scania ecu is 600 pounds.
Feel your pain, Wash truck = Rains 😅
Can you trust anyone anymore! I'd be asking for proof that it actually needs what it gets. Like some garages they start carrying part's til they change the correct one and leave all the other not needed bits on. Then they have s/h bits to use for other jobs!🤔
I wasnt far off i said in my head £2,500 also i think that young lad would really appreciate nicole and shannon both taking turns to take him for a eide in the truck I'd love a ride in them lol but id need a craine to get in them as i'm in a wheelchair love urs and shannons videos
It's a fine looking truck every thing is expensive
You should not have to pay any money. when you purchase anything any fault that occurs within 6 months is assumed to be present at the point of sale and be repaired at no cost to you.
Not great when a dealer fires the parts cannon without identifying the cause.
ECU on iveco just as bad more nights out with that than work😅😅😅
It’s all fixed and was just a broken wire.
I would say the ECU will cost£1,500 plus vat
I'd be bringing that truck back to where you bought it,that's a joke,it's nothing but trouble since you bought it!!!
Unwrapping 315/55 lol 😂
Following u both on here and insta 😊 im doing my hgv test asap lol
😢there is a place we used for are daf that repairs the ecus don't buy new
Cheaper than I thought
ECU about £2000 - 2500
No Starbucks visit 🤔😂
Bet you wish you bought an Iveco with warranty now
The ECU or the turbo. But Scania don't know which so they're changing both. Sounds like a very expensive game of parts darts to me. I would not be happy. 😠
same here. thats a utter joke that they cant diagnose if its a turbo or ecu. thats like saying "you have a bad injector so we will replace one at a time and hope it gets fixed at some point" if i was her id refuse to pay labour stating nothings been achieved if your just resorting to replacing random parts.
Why do you think big companies change there fleet regularly it's going to be tough like any small business truck off the road work lost money lost hope it works out many have tried lots go back to being employed so you can sleep at night , good luck
If the truck starts/drives then that tells me its not the ECU, I've had ECU's go on vehicles before and they wont start at all.
a ecu being fubr can still let the vehicle drive just can have fixed faults that wont reset (wabco abs units are very bad for this) or just have shorted or corroded internally causing sporadic warnings and faults that dont actually exist
watch their new video, it wasn't the ECU just dodgy wiring.
@@ItzChaza
@@AndrewJB yea that doesnt mean im wrong though, just proves scania's parts darts was wrong again

My name is Roydon Easter I think the ECU 3 000
Just shy of 2000 ❤❤
not far off
£3000.00 fitted "ATAY FAFE"
£800 without labour costs
Sounds to me Scania are not very good at guessing what wrong with it ? or is it their way of stiching you up like ALL Main Steelers Do, Scania are know as the Swedish Bedfords looks to me the Dealers are the same from what i have seen at Milton Keynes and South Mimms, (ie Wankers)
Ref ecu do you want the real price? or Scania Price ?
What ever made you buy a Scania as they are over priced crap, Their are much better trucks out there for less money thats for sure , as we operate some of them so we do know lol
