    i don't understand why would you shoot in f5.6 for portraits? that's the reason you got less bokeh in fuji. You have come down to 2.8 to get proper bokeh and portrait shot.

    >We changed to f5.2 for more DoF
    >Also in the image comparison keeps saying how Fuji has less bokeh
    Brother, if you're shooting portraits @ 28mm w/ APSC, it's criminal to drop from f2 to f5.2
    Calling this a professional camera is an absolute crime lmfao. It's a FIXED lens compact camera..
    Also why do you keep saying "looks more detailed" without cropping in, I guarantee every shot on the fuji has tons more detail. If you're already trying to "match" the pictures with DoF, why not actually compare the images closer.
    *And can you please do some other shots other than pictures of yourself jesus christ*

    I have an iPhone and a 24mp dslr. I send pics from the dslr to my phone and when I compare them to the ones I take with my phone, the results are interesting. 1. Biggest takeaway- for casual snaps of people, the iPhone is much more reliable at getting shots that look good. 2. The best shots from the dslr are better than the best iPhone camera shots. But generally the iPhone produces a larger percentage of keepers. 3. For things the phone camera CAN do well, it may actually be the better choice. It’s the camera I always have with me, it’s always on and ready to go, and people are not intimidated by it. 4. Major things the phone camera cannot do well are sports, birds, anything needing long focal lengths, stopping motion, blurring backgrounds.

    Suggestion: sample photos are too small to watch on a phone, though bigger screen wouldn’t be a problem. Make it a little zoom in if you’re comparing on something particular like for example: a missed edge detection on a portrait mode or a detail comparison between two photos. Great content though!

    I tried a whole bunch of Android smartphones this year hoping to find something that would make me switch back to Android, even though I am 100% in the Apple ecosystem (iPhone, Mac mini, iPad).
    The only one I found that could replace my iPhone is the Pixel 8 Pro. I didn’t encounter the same issues I usually find with Android smartphones. The voice command works perfectly (unlike other Android devices where, for some reason, I can never get the voice command to work on the Gboard keyboard). Additionally, when setting up a new phone, you can have an exact copy of your old Pixel, just like you can with a new iPhone.
    This isn’t the case with Samsung, etc., where you end up having to put all the apps back into folders yourself, reorganize everything, etc.
    In the end, I found that the photo and video quality were not as good as on the iPhone, so I kept my iPhone 15 Pro Max and returned the Pixel. However, I’m still looking forward to seeing the Pixel 9 Pro XL. I would be very happy to see Google reclaim its crown as the king of photography.
    They have the resources and talent; I don’t know what’s missing for them to achieve it.
    Having a disability, voice command allows me to write very quickly without exhausting myself, so it’s indispensable for me. Additionally, I don’t understand why, when copying data from an old Android smartphone to a new one, you don’t get an exact copy of what you had on the old one. You have to reorganize everything, redo your folders from scratch, etc. This is a basic feature, and Android is advanced enough to have this functionality. I will never understand this.

You can adjust the white balance wherever you want. It’s pointless to talk about color differences when comparing RAW photos…

    For photos that were taken in low light conditions, I find that photos from APSC/full frame cameras hold up better and the gap in image quality is more obvious when the photos are displayed on large screens. The screens at the back of cameras and screens on cellphones are quite deceiving, because of the smaller screen size.

  • @thieninh4153
    @thieninh4153 6 месяцев назад +9

    I think the Fujifilm X100VI is not a professional camera. Yes, the price is relatively high for a fixed lens APSC camera, it has professional specs and features, but it aims toward more casual users who want something to carry around all day every day, and want a camera that has the look and feel of a film camera with digital capabilities. Also, why do you shoot portraits at f5.2 on the Fuji, whereas the blur effect on the iPhone looks like fake f2 ?

    • @vladastojanovic4776
      @vladastojanovic4776 6 месяцев назад +1

      X100VI is the definition of a professional camera...pros use it as a secondary body for street/travel/documentary/reportage etc. It is the best for what it is (or Ricoh).
      Not everything is product/portrait/wedding photography...
      For amateurs, i consider it a waste to get x100VI as an only camera.
      Just get something like X-T20 (30, 50) and a pancake lens and you get the same thing but more versitile.

I have a sony A7 IV full frame mirrorless and the shots looks almost like iPhone. More realistic, more consistent and more details. I almost mixup the shots of iPhone and sony cuz of their identical results. The photos are close, but here again, the iPhone produces excellent photos which are excellent for 99% of consumers. Difficult to justify $1600+ for a camera when the iPhone on your hip/pocket can do it all, especially video, at a lower price.

    Based on your video, I kind of feel like a 2nd camera is not entirely worth it - it just seems to be more trading blows rather than a definitive, you need both.
    Question 1: Do you feel that adding some additional TLC/manual processing to iphone photos improves them to a point where it further closes the gaps between cameras?
    I'm novice photographer but most of what I do now is somewhat casual - I do a lot of clouds, nature photos and some nature macro.
    Now I do know cameras for macro will definitely win,
    question 2: but are there any other scenarios above that you think it would be essential for me to have a higher end camera?
    I was looking to upgrade my phone soon, but as an alternative, I was considering getting a high end camera, as the #1 reason for my upgrade is an improved camera, so any advice is appreciated.

    In general, whether it's iPhone or Samsung, new phones take great photos, but only as a phone. comparing photos taken with a phone to a Fuji is like comparing shit to cottage cheese with honey. If you don't believe it, take a photo with your iPhone and Fuji and watch it on a 60" TV. Fuji, having 24mpx, consumes every phone in terms of quality and sharpness. Besides, most cameras from even 15 years ago outperform modern phones in terms of photo quality, and that is beyond dispute.

      On a small screen for sure, try making large prints or zooming in and you can easily see the difference, any phone picture falls apart quickly and turns mushy. You can try downloading some sample pictures and compare.

      @@dsego84 ok. Yeah that is true. But most ppl will view it on a smartphone and compression on social media will likely make everything look the same 🥲🥲

    The Fuji is not a professional camera... And F2 doesn't give you more depth of field; it is very shallow depth of field. So confusing to watch this.

    Just got offered a X100vi. I used to take a lot of pictures, but now I'm mainly using an (older) iPhone. I dunno if I'm going to use the camera that much... Is the demand still v. strong?

    iPhone simply needs better anti reflection coating to compete with the fuji claity and contrast

    • @Kids11111
      @Kids11111 6 месяцев назад +3

      It still wouldn’t match the Fuji. When you blow up the pictures on a bigger display like a laptop or TV set, the iPhone shortcomings will be immediately apparent. On a tiny phone display, people are fooled into thinking that they’re comparable.

    • @dsego84
      @dsego84 6 месяцев назад +1

      It's the sensor size, aps-c vs 1/2.5", it's physics, larger sensors, bigger glass. If it was that simple to compete, they would've done it, people spend serious money on big lenses and big sensors.

    • @ИванИванов-я9ы8н
      @ИванИванов-я9ы8н 6 месяцев назад

      @@dsego84 a huge medium format ccd sensor would lose to a tiny modern iphone camera matrix in RAW so it's not all about the size. But where iphones and most other phones really fall behind cameras is in optics, it's literally plastic lenses with some poor anti reflection coating.

    중요한 부분이 빠졌네요. 야간촬영에서는 아이폰의 고질적인 고스트 현상 때문에 이 하나만으로도 아이폰은 전문적인 카메라와 비교자체를 하기도 민망해집니다.
