I bought an M1 Mac Mini $800 is all I could afford I was able to get the 16 256 which isn't nowhere near enough to do much of anything. I'm switching back to a PC because I like the ability to be able to keep my computer for a long time and all I have to do is upgrade the RAM and the storage.
PC: Accounting, finance, analyst work with heavy Excel or Word use, Azure ☁️, Powershell, C# programming with .Net, CAD, Linux users, and gaming. MacBook: Java enterprise level with AWS, Javascript front-end website developers, DJs, sound engineers, video editing, 3D animation (using M1 Max Pro), and photography.
Yes you can use a Macbook professional work if you pay a gazillion dollars for a configuration that will allow you to do anything. 16 gigs in a 1tb or any computer but not a Mac if you want that configuration you going to pay near $2,000. I tried using a Mac and one Mac Mini it cost me $800 for 16 gigs 256 gig SSD which is ridiculous. I could have gotten a used i7 9700 with 32 gigs of RAM and a 1tb hard drive with the ability to upgrade it to more. Actually that's what I'm going to do.
Why always this videos? It all depends for your need. I have mac for my everything except gaming and a windows only for gaming and nothing else. Always go with your prefered ecosystem.
Macs are fast I have a Mac Mini but they just don't give you enough for the money. Like you said you got to have a lot of money to get something that's usable on an apple. This is not the case with the PC just been my experience of using one and the speed difference is a very small from what I've noticed. I don't care about benchmarks I care about my real-world usage. The Mac Mini I bought is good it's hard to find anything and that price point that could beat it unless you buy something used like an i7 9700 computer which is just as fast as the m1 Mac Mini now I don't know about the M2. All in all it comes down to choice and I like having the freedom to upgrade my memory and Storage. Windows has gotten a lot more stable so the issues that we had with windows isn't there. Actually I had more crashes on my Mac Mini with software than I did on any of my Windows machine. LOL

Not a chance. Unless I’m broke I would never choose pc over MacBook. And I build my own pc’s.
I mean it depend on budget and purpose
