You really should cooperate with USSA Design. That USSA router base is pretty nice, but does lag the last few percent to be top notch. For example I like your thumb screws on top to quickly disassemble the router and also the centering wheels :)
Nice system. I assume the bushing plate is compatible with all the palm routers shown. Also wondering if the centering wheel threads on the main plate go all the way through? Would I be able to add some home made handles( with the correct thread pitch) and screw them in the top of the plate for extra control ?
yes when you purchase the palm router with a brand plate as well the guide bush plate is sent out for that brand. We made these in stainless steel so it dont ware out like the aluminium ones. if you have the MFT grooved adaptors from our website they are the perfect fit for handles.
Hello Ralph Congratulations on a wonderful new product line. Are the outer edges and, aperture edges, ON THE UNDERSIDE, rounded over? Will you be making handles for the big base? Are there any youtube demo's yet?
yes all edges are chamfered. well, here is a little secret: if you have the MFT grooved adaptors, then these work as great handles. Peter Millard has a set and im sure he will make a video when he can fit it in.
Spot on - AMAZING as all of the tool I have seen so fa 🤩 Unfortunately…. Yes there is a problem. Perhaps for a professional „yes”, but for a simple DIY-er or woodworking hobbyist like me, price tag makes it out of reach. Shame as „we” would like to use some nice tools too 😢🥺
We always try to price competitive but there has to be a point where it’s just no viable to make it. Costs are expensive in the uk. Staff energy and materials this all governs our prices not profit.
@@Benchdogtools could get difficult.. I've got three rails from Dewalt and they have different dimensions. They vary up to 1mm in the center! 😢 That's why I make now my own adjustable railguide for my router...
I hope this message finds you well. I was shopping on your website during your Summer Sale and unfortunately missed the checkout deadline by just a couple of minutes. My cart was full, and I was really looking forward to making a purchase. I wanted to check if there might be any possibility of extending the sale for a short period or if there’s any other way I can still take advantage of the sale prices. Additionally, could you let me know when your next sale or promotion might be? I appreciate your assistance and look forward to your response. Thank you,
im a bit confused. whats the point of the coloured plates . why not just attach the larger one when you need it. the coloured plates have the bolt heads sticking out so i cant use the router with that plate on so why bother
In the design process fixing holes are too close for us to make it a universal system. The router requires a bigger hole for larger bits to be used compared to the guide bushes and as you will need to centre the router an element of movement is needed to do so.
The colour helps you tell which plate fits to which router if the routers are different. You could use one make of router with this system and have another router for other things with the plate sat in the box unused until you need it.
Nice system. I gather the bushing plate is compatible with all the palm routers shown. Also wondering, do the centering wheel threads go all the way through the main plate? Could you attach home made handles through the top of the plate (with a screw of the same pitch) through these holes for extra control?
No you would need the one compatable with your router, this is matched to the brand plate bought. MFT Grooved adaptors work perfect as handles. ill post a quick tip soon
Have you imagined a part to be perpendicular to the surface ? Very useful to make a perfect round border. The Bosch accessory is bad because really too smooth and none precise adjustment.
Sorry you think everything has to kind of Match to color of the Palm routers Also: mil is not an acronym for mm. What is 100 mil in numbers? 100,000,000 100,000,000 (one hundred million) is the natural number following 99,999,999 and preceding 100,000,001.
Sort of Matching the colours helps to identify which plate is for which router. Some people may have multiple so it would be easy to identify. As by the way you spelt colour I would assume that you are American using the imperial system that may not know this. I would like to think when I use the work mil most people who use the metric system would know this terminology. So for clarity if you hear this in other videos the 100mil is 100mm.
I just gotta say your site does a horrible job of describing what your products actually do. There's usually like a single picture that doesn't show how it's used in context.
The fact you can use multiple routers is superb, the whole package appears well thought out and versatile 👌👌👌
Awesome as always! And the sustainer is a very tidy way of storing it all! Every bit has been very well thought out! Game changing.
Is it possible to add handles (maybe where the centering pins go) to make it easier to move around?
That's what's I'm wondering as well. Seems like a no-brainer given the big base and the threads are already there
Check out the MFT grooved adaptors they are a perfect handle for it
You’ve done it again. Regards Mike

yes thiers is a great systems and they have their IP which is great.
Any idea if the bushing plate works with porter cable type imperial bushings or does it only house your metric brand bushings?
We are making imperial sets soon.
Nice. Will there will be an edge guide accessory? Would be nice to have an adjustable edge guide attachment
Working on it!

Wonderful!!!
What happened to Benchdogs EU? I ordered fthere once 🤔
Is the base compatible with the router template and the magnetic puck?
Unfortunately not as the unit is aluminium
Hi Ralph are you going to make any of your products compatible with Ryobi in the future.
Yes sure as soon as we find out which models are available we will look for the drawings to make the plates for them

Will you be offering a base for Tend 18v - or does one of the current bases fit?
we think its the same as the Bosch but we will be to check, I will order one to check.
Are y’all planning a edge banding attachment to hold a flush trim router bit horizontal for edge banding applications?
Will any of the plates work with the Trend palm router?

Sooo the guide rail attachment, there's a dewalt plate for the router, what about dewalt rails? Ta!
we have to make a special one for the dewalt track which will come in the next few weeks.
