While Fez’s actor died, it happened long after announcements of delays so I don’t think they could blame it on that if they tried
From what i heard there was a lot of behind the scenes production issues and now with many of its main cast being catapulted into mainstream stardom, with likely expired contracts, that its now going to be hard to get everyone together to film this show when everyone has moved on. I know there was one anonymous actor who came forward and complained about how due to contractual obligations, there were barred from taking other roles yet production kept telling them it was going to film soon, and just kept pushing the date further and further and nothing ever materialized. They have no one to blame but themselves.
I think the main reason is there's so much that can be dissected into thousands of conversations. The characters (for better or for worst), the fashion (one of the show's few saving grace), the makeup (the other few saving grace), the memes, the actors who try their best to make their lines work.
I also think after The Idol came and completely BOMBED HBO and Sam's "untouchable" armor, it made people go back to Euphoria and see that it wasn't as incredible as it was
I wonder how the Idol would made Euphoria being a terrible show (although I haven’t watched either of them other than hearing one show is good, the other being hot garbage)
@@heyyodude8637 I haven't watched either of them as well, but my best guess is that when The Idol came out, the "genius" of Sam was cracked. Which led to people to be less afraid about their issues with Euphoria, and also others to rewatch Euphoria and notice issues they haven't noticed before.

@@Val17282 maybe because the idol was a off spring of Euphoria and replicated the same formula & vibe. The audience tend to not liked it. Interesting perspective I just realized was when the teen did what they did, us as a society accepted it, yea we talked about how mature the show was, but it was a gradual conversation that sprung out of it a year or so later. Right off the bat the show was a success, but when mature adults did the same exact thing, the
also, euphoria being the key example of what NAWT to do if u wanna be in the tv/movie world is so freaking funny. the show being one giant meme of don't's and don't's is why it's going to keep being relavent. like the conversations ab visuals over quality of writing for ONE example.

"Why do we keep talking about Euphoria?" I was like, "The Kendrick vs Drake beef or the show?" until you said you were talking about the show aha.
I watched Euphoria just to see what the hype was about and... i'm not that impressed by it. The writing and characters are questionable as hell but i still watched it cause the show's aesthetically pleasing and the actors do such a good job playing what their given and their given shit
Its really just a subpar teen drama. The contrast of the beautiful aesthetic with the gritty subject matter ends up highlighting how unserious the show is, instead of creating an interesting juxtaposition i.e showing how teenagers see the world and how it clashes with the harsh reality of being young and struggling with the darker side of adolescence. It ends up glamorizing these really dark and serious real world topics. Hollywood still doesnt get that dark themes isnt enough to make your writing hit hard. You have to have the execution. And when you try to tackle dark themes and miss, it just feels goofy af. Euphoria is proof of that.

to me Euphoria felt like a reality show that broke boundaries in the same way Skins did. Euphoria felt realistic in characters cause I know a bunch of Cassies and Maddys and Nates like it felt so real. Season 2 just felt like if teens were in GTA
I’m tired of pretending not to like euphoria just because it’s popular not to. It was one of my favorite shows and the first time I felt seen on tv. It’s not perfect but it still deserves to exist and be appreciated
Ik plus idk what part of the internet she's on but Euphoria has a lot of positive fan base from what I read 😅 I'm not hating on her by any means just explaining what I see

I recently started reading the YA romance _Their Days Are Like Grass_ by Cameron Rogers. It's about an aimless college student who befriends and then falls in love with an artist. The story includes a handful of prominent LGBT characters. It takes place in Frederick, MD where the author went to college, so if you read it and end up liking it, too, you can go to some of the exact places Rose and Armand go!

ALL IMMA SAY IS, Euphoria is the MOST realistic out of ALL the high school tv shows. I’ll give it that. but all you guys are right bout it being graphic.
Sending you kind thoughts and wishes your way. I don't know if you enjoy science fiction, but while this writer is mostly known as a sci-fi author, he has all sorts of short stories. I recommend anything by Theodore Sturgeon - he was some white cis het dude in the 50s, but, while struggling to sometimes use the correct language or avoid some problematic tropes - A LOT of his work is around the goal of humanizing the other, so there's queer people being humanized, disabled people, and although imperfect, he was a great source of comfort when I was younger. He also wrote Amok Time lol, that Star Trek episode with Pon Farr, he helped birth slash fic haha

You all know there was a strike right like two different ones thats why a lot of films were on delay like EUPHORIA and it was worth it bec everyone including none writers stopped bec it was wrong to continue 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ also Fez died I would feel weird too to continue the show he was kind of a prominent character be more sensitive he seemed loved by his castmates

Maybe Rachel Smythe can be the third even though she’s a WEBTOON creator. I include her just because Lore Olympus is being sold at Barnes and Noble despite (or maybe because) of its polarizing reviews.
Honestly if season 3 comes out I just want the public at large to realize Sam Levinson is the problem, ostracize him, leave him in a forest or something and/or force him to deeply introspect and Repent . Went through the Wizard of Earthsea series by Ursula K. Le Guin and the Dauntless Path trilogy by Intisar Khanani, thought they were neat and useful reads.
Also found The Myth of Normal by Gabor Maté and God: An Anatomy by Francesca Stavrakopoulou hella insightful and useful as well.
Ursula K. Le Guin is one of my mom's favorite authors!
