It is very easy to install and it works very well, with a clear picture through the app and good in-home use (we added the chime, which is also easy to install and doesn't require another thought to use).

That is the way we do it in Europe regular mail you can pick it up at the post office, Amazon/whatever we pick up at shops/newsagents who have agreements with the companies to keep things there for 4 or 5 days until we can go pick them up. Pardon my honesty but leaving things at the door is just plain stupid. Also bikes if outside we use specific chains we put around trees, fences or lamp posts.We do not "invite" trouble the way you do.
Every once in a while, when I've fallen asleep on the sofa from exhaustion and have't checked my mail... I remember how much I've seen on your channel, and I find the energy to grt up and go check for mail. I've tightened up my act because of what I've watched here.

Several years ago was when I had next door neighbors who had unexpected visitors ring their front doorbell around midnight.
The husband got his glock and went to the back door in his kitchen area. When he saw the silhouettes of two people through the curtains he then loaded the magazine and cocked the hammer.
The two punks on the back porch took off.
Two weeks later they were caught and arrested by the police for attempted breaking and entering in a different area of our subdivision.
Ever since then I always tell friends and relatives to call ahead before they come over and to have everyone call them ahead of time.

My best advice to everyone is to get the full ring set! With door/window and motion detector. When it’s triggered it’s super loud and police response is quick. It’s startled me a few times when I forgot to disarm lol

I have a steel thing that I was given a few years ago when I broke my leg. It's to help you put shoes on. It's about 2 feet long with a handle. This is discreetly kept by my door only one door. Nice little apartment. Right by the local high and junior high schools. I used to live on a 13 story awful apartment. I actually had to use my whacked one evening when a food delivery guy wouldn't get out of my doorway. I smacked him on the neck very hard. Knocked him to the ground! I then shoved him out and called 911. He left in an ambulance with handcuff on. That place was one block from the police station so they got there in minutes. He was still on the floor in great pain! I didn't get in any trouble. Self defense! My q5 year old grandson sharpened a pretty good sized knife and gave it to me. He told me to keep it on/in my bedside table. I do that. He actually checks for it now and then. Everyone take care and be safe! Sorry this was sooooo looong!

Many years ago around 1990 I had been two years removed from packing everything up and starting over in another state. I had always lived on a farm but it was from a pig farm to a dairy farm instead. I was riding the county road on a hot summer day to encounter a heifer giving birth so I parked my bike deep in the ditch then crossed the barb wire fence to assist the cow, after helping her by pulling the calf out a complete stranger drove up and visibly saw me but decided to steal my bike, my Huffy that my Grandfather from Iowa gifted me 3 years prior. Fortunately for me the feed company witnessed it and we chased him down and recovered my bike, I did tell the piece of trash that if I ever seen him roaming around my farmland that he would get the shotgun firing off some buckshot peppering his ass. I was only 11 years old then and I never had another visual of that guy ever again, the Sherriff Department hunted him down a few miles away to greet him with the do it now and this is not a suggestion to leave my community and county too. Nevertheless he was arrested for getting mouthy with the Sherriff.

I have Vivint. My doorbell camera has never been tampered with, except one day, I got a notification that someone was at my door, so I go to the Vivint panel, and I can't see anything. So, I go outside, and there's a tweaker LAYING on my enclosed porch, and he stuck a label off a lighter over my camera lens. I opened the door, and asked, "May I help you?" The person gave me a blank stare, got up, and ran off. Never to be seen again. Well, my mom died last September, and in October, I go outside to smoke a cigarette in my back yard, and I notice that my back yard camera is GONE. I kept wondering why I couldn't see the back yard. It just showed the front porch. Well, Vivint won't do shit about it. But that is the only time I had my cameras tampered with, now I've become more vigilant, and I don't sleep at night, because THIS September, ON THE DAY OF my mom's 1 year death anniversary, some random tweaker busted out my living room windows with bricks. I no longer feel safe, camera or not. My doors are always locked, and I am always up until it's bright enough outside, and then I go to sleep. So like after the dawn, I'm just getting to bed, while everyone else is waking up. That's how unsafe I feel. Vivint or not. I live in Pueblo, Colorado, and it's a Coloradan version of Los Angeles now. Very dangerous, full of tweakers, and I'll be damned if anyone steals a package off MY porch, they'll get their ass beat. Of course, I make sure to TRACK my packages, so nobody steals them, and I am home when they arrive. I'm up at 2:10 this morning, because I have a Walmart grocery delivery coming to me around 8 am and I will not lay down or fall asleep until them groceries are in my house safe. I swear, you can't live in peace anymore. It's getting worse everywhere. Since when is stealing someone's packages more thrilling than getting a job and earning your own money to buy things? I don't even have yard decor outside anymore, because it'll be gone by morning. You can't have anything nice. This world is going to hell in a hand basket
Look up Vivint and you'll find they've been in legal trouble for dishonest solicitations and other stuff, including trying to steal customers from Ring. On the other hand, I've recently read in Good Housekeeping that Ring was only ranked third, after two other brands. Do your research.

Why are these packages even left outside? It’s the same as putting your OLED TV and ps5 out on your porch before you go to work! How about taking the undelivered packages (you know, when nobody answers the door) to some sort of building, like, maybe a local post office, leave a note explaining this in text form, then it can be picked up later or it could be re delivered at the owner’s convenience!

So imo i dont feel bad for anyone who gets mad at people stealing their candy if they just leave it out there unattended all night. It’s literally almost 100% expected to get stolen. If lil 6 year olds want to just take it all at the first chance they get then i expect anything and everything from everyone else. Its just common sense.
