You don’t know what the intentions are when it comes to strangers knocking on your door! They can rob, hurt, rape, kidnap, or murder you & your loved ones! Do not take any chances!
Keep all of your doors locked! Front door, back door, car door, garage door, etc. To include locking all of your windows! Never leave any tools, bicycles, kids toys, or ladders outside! Lock these things up inside a garage or storage shed!

I constantly tell my elderly parents this. They're both 87 and live about 10 minutes away. Both are independent but I worry so much about someone breaking in and harming them. They tend to be a bit too trusting.

You know I love the video clip here where the guy says my Find My Phone app tells me my phone is at this address. Now you would think that if that guy's phone was actually in that guy's apartment or house. You would want to get the cops involved. To come help him find your phone. But I love how as soon as a guy on the the doorbell cam tell them I'm going to call the cops the other the claims he's looking for his phone turns tail and runs. I mean honestly if the guy's phone was actually in that guy's apartment or house. You think you'd want the cops to help you come find it. But honestly you guys got his phone in his hand. And if he's got his phone in his hand and the Find My Phone app on his phone. Of course your phone is going to tell your phone is right there because it's in your damn hand.

A package so important that you just leave outside for anyone to grab? I always collect my packages the second they're delivered or if I'm not home at the time i have trusted neighbors grab it for me. Everyone needs to start doing that or your packages will keep getting stolen.
If it’s not breakable Amazon lets people indicate where the package should be delivered. For example, I often will have my packages dropped over my back fence if I’m not going to be at home.
@@greywater3186 That's definitely better than just leaving it on the porch, those lockable boxes that bolt to the ground/floor would be a good idea as well, they can only be opened with a code and are almost impossible to break into..some are even insulated if you have food or medication deliveries

I live in a low crime town. I hand deliver my water payment to the city offices which is attached to the police dept. I walk 25 steps to drop it in a box. And..... I lock my car door.
I still feel bad for that doordash lady.
We have a PO Box for important deliveries, and we always go to the post office to handle mailing in bills and things like that. Our mailbox outside the house needs a key to unlock it.
I lock my door going to the post office and that is less that 3 feet from my parking spot. I don't trust anyone.

I love that little old man, the downstairs neighbor, who alerted his upstairs neighbors that the husband's bike was about to be stolen. We should all have neighbors like that.
I also resent those who come to your door and try to push their religious beliefs on you. In one of our old neighborhoods, it got so bad that we had to put a sign on the door in English and Spanish saying "No Religious Missionaries and No Solicitors." The solicitors, always landscapers, would wake up us at 6 or 7 in the morning or interrupt our getting dressed to go to school, not cool.
That was a woman, but still a good neighbor.

I guess grubhub driver will only leave their car running a few more times. A lot of drivers I know just carry guns. We are private contractors. We carry if we want.
And lot of drivers don't. Not everyone is comfortable with those things.

I deliver for door dash too and although I leave my cars running to save the starter, they are all stick shift. If you steal mine, you better know how to use a clutch.

@@greywater3186 car is more expensive but how often do they get stolen? It's very rare. Also, mine is standard transmission. Starter replacement will eat your profits. It's not like you're leaving the car running for hours, is just the 1-2 minutes to drop off the food.

This is what I did to prevent people from stealing packages from me and believe me I've had it done to me so many times you go to the services whether it's a courier or Amazon or whatever and you make them have you sign a piece of paper before you get your package that way it's insured not to get stolen and it doesn't get left at the door for people to steal I learned that lesson the hard way my medical box that I get every month that has all my diabetic meds and everything in it somebody stole it from me and from that moment on I have had signed up for all my packages to have me sign for them with a real person standing at my door so nobody would steal anything from me anymore and I advise everybody to do that it's the safest thing you can do
