    This is really helping me to make sure that I have all the rules down for a tournament next month as well as remembering timings for some things I totally forgot about. Please keep making those. It's really appreciated!

    I was today years old when I learned (or remembered, rather) that a reserve unit can't come into an opponent's deployment zone until T3, lol. I've been playing for 2+ years, even somewhat competitively, and nobody's ever called me on that, lol. That's why these rules refreshers are so good. Everyone knows you (generally) can't come in off reserves until T2 and onwards (and are destroyed if they didn't come in by T3), but apparently a lot of players by me have forgotten the "can't do it in your opponents backline until T3" part.

      Keep in mind that restriction only applies to *Strategic Reserves*
      Other kinds of reserves are unaffected

      This is a relatively new thing, it was commonly unused in 9th edition, however deepstrike allows you to come effectively anywhere on the table t2 onwards

      @TheWiggleTuff yup. I've just been accidentally using some of the deepstrike rules when coming in from reserves, haha. Best move of all this edition tho is Rapid Ingress, if you have the CP for it

    Shulda probably use a rhino for the transport section, as a unit can charge after disembarking from a land raider that has moved due to the assault ramp ability.

    I'd love to see another one on terrain. It's crazy how much mistakes are made on that.

    If I have a firing deck on a transport, are those troops guns considered as the vehicles weapons for 'Big Guns Never Tire" rules?

    • @doincrimesjohnson
      @doincrimesjohnson 8 месяцев назад +1

      Firing Deck essentially puts the occupying troops guns on the transport's datasheet during your shooting phase so yeah, that works as long as you're not trying to Overwatch or doing some kind of return fire mechanic.

    Please can someone help me, I’m new to the game
    I wanna know the difference and how it works between lethal hits and devastating wounds
    So lethal hits im guessing for the number of hits you get on a +6 you automatically wound
    And devastating wounds you have to do your hit rolls first then whatever you have left for wound rolls you then roll and for every +6 you roll you do the damage of your weapon automatically on your opponent
    However am I wrong that if you have a character that has FEEL NO PAIN can they still use that against these
    Also on the lethal hits when it automatically wounds does it just course 1 wound or does it still course the damage on the weapon like devastating wounds does
    Also if I have this completely wrong I’d really really appreciate if someone can help me understand thanks

    • @chaosclg
      @chaosclg 8 месяцев назад

      Lethal hits are crits on the hit roll so normally 6 and the opponent gets a save it causes the same damage as normal it just skips the wound roll for that hit.
      Devastating wounds are unmodified critical wounds nornally 6 but anti x gives you a critical wound on the 'x' number so devastating wounds apply.
      The opponent doesnt get a save but normal feel no pain applies to dev wounds theres feel no pain on psychic where this doesnt apply to mortals

    I thought You can’t use command reroll on number of shots ?
    Was there an faq on the heroic intervention ? Why do you not get fights first like you would on a normal charge I would have got that wrong for sure. Does this charge trigger other “charge” rule like the brutalis dreads mortals on the charge rule?
    Can you overwatch models that get out of a transport is that a set up move?

    • @TacticalTortoise
      @TacticalTortoise  8 месяцев назад

      Number of attacks is specified as one of the types of rolls that can be targeted with Command reroll.
      Heroic Intervention specifies that you don't get the charge bonus that turn (which is Fights First per page 32).
      You can Overwatch units when they set up in their movement phase; so yep!

      @@TacticalTortoise I had one other question that came up in a game and wasn’t sure were to find the answer since I wasn’t able to find it quick enough for my opponent I just let it go.
      If I charge a transport with two things and then go to my combat phase and the first thing kills the transport and my other unit has not fought yet can I still pile in and make attacks on the models that got out as long and I can make it into engagement range of said models with my pile in move? They told me no because you have to declare on the attacks but I thought you did that with each unit one at at time and since my second unit had not done anything I figured I could just pile in to the new thing and fight that?
      If you are allowed to do this who fights first is it me cause I charged or them cause that unit that disembarked wasn’t my charge target ?
      Sorry for the long winded question thanks again for the clarifications

    If a character can use a strat that has already been used for 0cp, can they start also be overwatch?

    • @TacticalTortoise
      @TacticalTortoise  8 месяцев назад +1

      No as of the Autumn dataslate; Overwatch isn't eligible for free-strat effects since it is a Strategic Ploy.
      Only Battle Tactics can be used for free (unless overwatch is specified by the ability).

    If that Tyranifeks, while engaged, is shooting the Land Raider while being engaged the penalty of hit roll accumulate or stays at -1 to hit?

    • @doincrimesjohnson
      @doincrimesjohnson 8 месяцев назад +2

      Matching bonus/maluses don't stack, if it was -1 to hit and -1BS it would but in this case it's just -1 to hit.

    So to clarify besides the exception. You can only earn, in a 2 player game, 3 CP a battle round

      With the exception of the Votann Ruthless Efficiency detachment rule and the Imperial Knight Code Chivalric army rule that's correct, I'm not sure why GW insists on writing it so weirdly but yeah that's what it means.
