Hey Geoff great video and thanks for the inspiration. Can you please tell me the name of the quick release again? Couldnt see whether it is the plate or the block you are holding in your hand. Thank you
@ I used the adapter that comes with the osmo, but there are better options made by third party companies. The main thing is the f38c if you are interested in that system I have a link to the handle I use in the description of the video
That’s awesome to hear!!! Yes it is a great feeling, I’m starting to get older and being overweight unfortunately started to catch up so things had to change.
the F38 adaptors are a nice recommendation. I'm way too deep in F22 territory to switch now, lol, but I have a bunch of bases which make it really convenient to swap cameras into overhead positions, and in between different tripods and what not as you mentioned. So for a small investment for anybody else it saves you a shit ton of time constantly having to twist on and off different base mounts!
Hi Geoff. Just curious about the kind of filters you use. I see you mention in this video that it's just a normal polarizing filter, I guess it's a polarizer with ND as you shoot in 24 in daylight or do you go with faster shutter speeds? Also while I'm here I was watching another of your videos on the Action 5 and you mention you were using a CPL filter, I noticed it seemed to cut down on the sun flares while you were on the beach. Have you noticed an improvement in light flares with the CPL on the Action 5? Would be curious which filters you recommend. Thanks in advance. Great videos by the way 😊👍
Hi! So yes is the answer to your question on the action 5 I would totally get one. On the action cameras I don’t care as much about high shutter speed because they serve a specific purpose for me and I want them to be easy to use and not change filters all the time. On the osmo pocket it’s a bit easier because filters are magnetic and the device is t waterproof so I don’t mind switching filters. I have links to all the filters I use for the osmo pocket in the description of this video and a link to the cpl I use in the action in that video too. Thanks for watching!!
Well, yes, it al depends on YOUR use. I DO need the falcam plate, 1 because I use other cameras on that same extension pole. 2, I have not found an extension pole as solid as the falcam one and I’ve tried about 4 other over the past year and the problem is once fully extended with the type of vlogging I do they introduce a lot of bounce in the footage. As I mentioned thin in the video, the falcam one is made out of all metal so there is no bounce. Also I can use my fx30 on the due to how stable it is. I could never find another small extension tripod device that can handle so many different devices and be so efficient, easy to use, affordable, and durable.
Unfortunately, I don’t believe free. Well, sells it without being in the combo. But if you look for other companies filters there are other companies that sell it just the anamorphic adapter, but they’re not all equal. They’re not all the same and so I only have experience with the one from free well so I couldn’t really recommend anything outside of that just because I don’t have the experience with it.
@@NicaHarlistamotovlogs why not? What makes anamorphic more special at night other than more flares? Anamorphic isn’t just about flares. It’s also about characteristics in your footage.
Nice insights, Geoff! Looks great 👌
I just bought one two hours ago! Thanks for this ❤❤❤

@@longnyn thanks! It’s called an f38 quick release plate
@ what a quick answer thank you. And you also need the separat adapter to use it like you did in your video right?

How does the micke work with the DJI osmosis pocket 3
You dont need the falcam quick release. The adapter is quick release already. You just leave the adapter on the tripod and thats it.

2 different kinds of cameras. the ace is an action camera and osmo is a vlog camera. It all comes down to what you plan on using it for
