Ha! Yes it's quite the journey to learn another language later in life! But the best way to learn is the "sink or swim" method ha! None of my French family speaks a word of English, so I had no other choice! And looking back over the last 25 years, I'm so grateful that I was forced to learn because it really has helped me understand the culture (and my husband better!) and enjoy our times there too!

Of all your many interesting and informative videos, Beth, this has to be my favourite. A little bit of everything - history, cuisine, architecture, gardening, how people lived then, and a yummy French guide as a bonus! What's not to love? Also so nice to see your family from a few years ago, as cute as ever.

Beth, it made me happy to hear you animate history with your fun quirky take on it. It goes to show how you can love something you struggle with(history, yet with a special story telling spin, and the real visuals works on my artistic side. This reminded me of how I thoroughly enjoyed history class in highschool purely due to a very passionate (often drunk- but fantastic and loveliest teacher) It helped me connect even though I struggled with it and all the dates. You are a so great at this Beth. Yay!! Ok the girls are just mini replica's of you..haha..😊P.S what Camera are you using, and microphone, quality is great or is it just you?!😮😅..Ahh the 'fake gardener was so charming and cute ..I couldn't help hold my breathe looking at those threatening looking clouds..mind you I do love rain and wintery natural scenes far more then summer. Thank you for uplifting me this evening after a difficult day emotionally.
