You are a brave soul to pick up your life and move from your home country to another. That being said, France is beautiful. Your life there seems to be peaceful and beautiful as well. I would love to be there. I am in the United States in Ohio. I am retired now and my life is slower than it used to be. But I so want to go visit France. Thank you for sharing.

@@hervedupont6955 First I had to translate. Yes, I am retired. But I have several health issues that I am not sure that if I had a problem with my disease that I could get taken care of with the French healthcare system. It's something I would have to work out. But it is a very wonderful dream. At the very least, I want to come visit.

@@hervedupont6955 Thank you, you take care of yourself also. And yes old age is not easy. But, I still try to garden and do the things that I like to do, I'm just slower.
I know how you feel living this peaceful life. At 75 I moved to Brittany in the Northwest of France to live like you a quiet life.
I'm absolutely at peace now and enjoy my slow life.

The reason why I come here to your channel is for the simplicity,the beauty and to dream. I’ve never been to France,though I long to. Your sense of seeking simplicity is I think what many of us strive for. I love my quiet , simple life that I have always sought . A few years back at the beginning of summer I thought this year I am having a simple summer, and I never looked back. I am so happy for you and that your parents visit often.

Such a beautiful presentation of the food you made. I always love hay season. The smell of fresh cut grass is so delightful. The countryside and the farm animals are wonderful to see free ranging in the pasture. Love shopping for treasures. Some very beautiful items. I love the teacup and saucer metal stand next to the mug with the blue flowers. St. Martin Parish is gorgeous. The stain glass is so beautiful. The two stone dog heads looking over the stone fence is so charming. Thoroughly enjoyed this video

It's just so lovely to escape from our busy lives and see how people follow their dreams in another Country. I love all the little things that bring you joy, hence they bring me Joy. You also inspire me to plant flowers for next summer as we are in winter just now. So too, your simple dishes inspire me to be more creative in the kitchen, so please keep doing what you are doing.

So peaceful and beautiful. Your "wild flower" arrangement nearly made me cry and I'm an old Army guy. It takes an eye to make it look like that. I have heard it said that we work so we can do the things we enjoy. It seems you have found both. As a cook I marveled at your plates. Simple, delicious and beautiful. I am joyful that the time you now spend with your parents seems to be more precious. God willing I can make it to Burgundy to enjoy your hospitality.

Lovely portrayal of 'a day in the life...' . The French countryside is mesmerizing...much like our woods and paths and lakes here in Wisconsin. The scenery is not identical but the sense of peace in nature is. Thoroughly enjoyed. Best to you and your family, the cat, the cows and farmers! 😊

Beautiful. I am 45, and have been seeking this stillness more and more. Ive taken on the difficult challenges of new jobs, but have recently searched the ones now with less responsibilities and enjoyed this so much more. I have just taken on work, cooking and baking for a cafe which has been quite stressful and its been a reminder of what i dont want anymore. Myself and my partner are near the end of land ownership, and am working on our future rental whilst creating a simple home with gardens. We then hope to buy in France and create the same there so i can be closer to my family and create a more peaceful life.

I love the clips of Beaune, when I visited there last September I was so in awe it was hard to take it all in. When you share I can go back and see it again....I had lunch at one of those restaurants. I can't wait to one day visit your vacation rental. Beaune and Burgundy have my Canadian heart.

Just last week I was staying in Beaune :) I found it to be magical and beautiful.
I go back there again on the 18/09/23 to finalise my house purchase and
at long last pick up my house keys to my property in Maizeries Sur Amance
Every French person have been so kind to this Australian ,
especially to superb staff at the Kryaid Hotel in Beaune,
where I will be staying again in a few weeks time.
Not a fan of Dijon unfortunately just didn't thrill me but Paris OMG ! I absolutely love that place !!!!

J'ai visité Beaune longue durée beaucoup année's quand c'etait un élève et jeune personne dans moi 20's. C'est belle et dans le vin Bourgogne region. J'adorerais y acheter une ferme pour prendre ma retraite. J'espere. Pourtant je suis maintenant célibataire, si triste ! J'adore votre videos. Merci !
My family background I Holland Dutch. I understood a few of the words you and your mother were saying. Like the word for nice, or pretty, and the word for knife. My father was actually born in Holland as were all my grandparents. Like you, I thought of spending more time in France, but family situations kept me in the USA. But loved my visits there and I collect French dishware and some Delft as a nod to my heritage which also includes French Huguenots. Love your channel.
