Beth your videos really cheer me up. Battling chronic illess and depression. It can be hard to see people living life and traveling etc. But you radiate such warmth and pure joy. Its hard not to feel hopeful. Thank you for taking the time to share this with us. I know it probably takes away slightly from your overall experience. But we appreciate you so much.

I think the smaller villages would be so much better to visit than the bigger tourists areas. Looked like a great trip.

I am loving these series of videos! As someone that lives in Europe, there are some things I know about France, (able to travel there very easily, but you always provide knowledge with such a pure enthusiasm! Amazing cannot wait for the next video

Thank you for showing that France is not limited to Paris and the Cote d'Azur. I am soon 60 years old and every year during my month of vacation I discover a new region of my beautiful country. From the Gulf of Morbihan and Brittany, my region, via Alsace, Ardeche or Tarn, Provence, the Pyrenees,the Mont St Michel, the Baie de Somme, the Alps, the Vercors, Corsica, Vendée etc etc etc. Our country is beautiful, thank you for making it discover 🙏👍

Oh we are :) It's been a 20+ year dream of ours. It's been a fun project to work towards these last few years for sure!
Beth, hearing you converse in French motivated me to start learning! I downloaded an app. So far, all I’ve got is “Salut!” “Ca va?” “Ca va. Et toi?” Hahah hopefully, I’ll add more vocabulary soon.
Bravo! And you know what. that's exactly how I started too! Every word learned, is a piece of the puzzle found :) And over time, just like a real puzzle, you'll start to see all the pieces come together to form an image and you'll find your way :) Keep going! :)

I traveled to France solo at the age of 19 to visit, I spent two weeks on Ile de Re in August 1997 before heading off to Paris for the remaining two weeks. It was a summer of adventure, romance and young love. Seeing your video brought me back to that time, for a moment. Thank you. :)

This is my dream vacation - bikes, beach, food, FRANCE. What an incredible trip! And the fact that you have French fans says a lot about your cooking. What a compliment!

Thank you for your video on Ile-de-Re. I just returned from a 2 night stay in St. Martin-de-Re and absolutely loved it. It was even more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. We biked around the entire island and could not get enough of the place.

I am so glad I ran across your site great trip review! We are American neighbors I'm in Phoenix , Arizona. Ile de Re has a special place in my heart and life. My Mom is from France and I was blessed to visit every summer as a kid. My Aunt was the Principal and Teacher @ L'ecole Maternelle /Pre-School en St Martin de Re. In France teachers are provided housing and hers was a huge 19th Century building @ 15 La Place de Republique (good times and memories there) . My Aunt is now Retired and lives in La Flotte en Re. An interesting note about Le Poitou Donkey's in PJ's have a 400 year presence on the Island, their purpose was to haul the salt to La Rochelle / Cite de Port-Nuef port for shipping and the reason for the PJ's was to protect their hard working legs from pesky mosquito bites LOL! Thank You for sharing your Trip I look forward to more! Happy Travels .

Whenever I can have fresh seafood it’s such a treat. And, I cracked up…”you don’t have to get so close!” Oh the stories I could tell on my husband taking bad angled views and wrong timing pictures of me 🤦🏻♀️

Great video. When entertaining, don't you always love the movie Somethings Got to Give. When the house was magnificent, the music perfect, great table, gorgeous people. And the dinner the perfect bowl of spaghetti, crusty bread and great candles. Who wouldn't want to be at that table!?

Ha! It was really such a treat to run into fans, because that never happens to me in LA, and here I was in a small cobblestone street half way around the world and I hear my name ha! So much fun! So glad you are enjoying the series! :)
It's great to spend a day on the isle for us. Sometimes we cruise the bay, as we stay on our boat in La Rochelle.
For any that don't want to drive, there is La Rochelle airport which is close to the island or railway station served by TGV.

True. When my daughter was young we actually went to the movies 7 times to watch it and still got the movie for home and watched it from time to time into her teens! We went to Disney World Epcot after that and always did something at the French Pavillion..like eat! Love their travel movie.. Just takes you away.. As well as your videos! 💕💕

Wow I’m so glad I came across your channel. It’s my dream to travel to France from Australia 🇦🇺 but sadly unlikely to happen. I was so lucky a little of my dream of getting Versailles came true because they brought others to Australia and I travelled far to attend the event.
