When he returned the rental plane he wrote 5255 in the squawk book
🤣🤣🤣
This killed me XD
How on earth can this guy fly and not know how to squawk?
Bock bock bock.
😂
😂🙈
He's the only pilot who needs both flight following AND taxi following.
I thought it was going to turn out to be a paranormal story about somebody from the 1930's sending radio signals to the future wondering what all this ident and squawk business is about.
wow... that WOULD actually make more sense!!!!
The "radar snitcher"?!?!?! 🤣🤣🤣 Never have I heard the xpdr called that!
"we want to ask you a few questions"... like: what lottery did you get your license from? where did you steal that plane? how did they even let you on an airport?!
😅😅😅
Ramp check time. That was very confusing. Sure sounds like he busted their airspace before he even called, thinking he was above pattern altitude. Given that he doesn’t know what ident and squawk are, and confused east and west, he can’t be too solid on the VFR sectional markings. But who (besides this guy) tries to enter a pattern from higher altitude directly onto the downwind, instead of at a standard 45-degree (or midfield overhead with a teardrop descent) where the tower and aircraft can see him? I’m hoping this is a student pilot solo, or just a very rusty pilot that never used transponders before?
Shame on whoever let this clueless "pilot" leave the pattern or pass any flight review. His ignorance is causing a distraction to ATC, especially with their insane staffing conditions today.
At least he wasn't blindly flying via his iPad, so kudos on that. Doesn't know how to squawk????
That person should be fired, fined $2,000,000 and sentenced to prison for 20 years...I agree with you.
It's very much unexpected situation
@@RLTtizME jesus
I’m not even a pilot. All i know is Microsoft Flight Simulator and even I know what a transponder is, where it is (on the planes i fly in Sim) and how to use it.
Doesn't know how to put in a squawk?
Jesus. I learned that before my first training.
Pro-tip: "squawk altitude" does NOT mean you set your transponder to your current altitude. Get that wrong and if you're at 7,500MSL, you may get a nasty surprise when you land. (why are they all pointing guns at me?) 😆
@@michaelhoffmann2891 😂
It's an honest mistake to buy a plane and figure you don't need a pilot certificate if you learned on a flight simulator. Microsoft ought to include MS pilot certificates in every box or download. Man was that a charm of a laugh hearing he didn't understand squawk 5255.
Oh man! Like the back of the old comic books "cut out and mail in with $3.95 in stamps for your Real Pilot's License (*)"
(*) not actually real, not even real looking, but it will have an awesome bikini babe on the back
Sounds to me like the tower just couldn’t see the dude because he identified the airport clearly.
He also corrected himself on his initial call but the tower didn’t hear him which probably didn’t help them with spotting.
Not being able to enter a squawk is another story
Ident please. Yes: I am N2069M. No, I mean ident. Yes, that's my Ident!
Who knows, maybe he just had a broken transponder and tried his best to keep flying without anyone noticing it.
Sounds like the tower controller was a little confused also.
Everybody’s got to learn sometime.
Yeah 😃
sounds like it was his first time ever in a plane. who was his cfi?
@@mts982 That ATCer, apparently.
There is no way this is real. WTF
It's really unfortunately 😃
The title of this video should be Pilot Doesn't Know How to Enter Squad Code I just don't get it. Is this plane stolen by a non-pilot?
Are the squad codes new? Never heard of a squad code.
Squad codes are how one identifies the squad they belong to. There are American Squads, United Squads, Delta Squads, Lufthansa Squads, Alaska and Hawaiian Squads, Singapore Squads…. The list goes on and on… If you don’t know your squad, then you are truly lost…
@@RLTtizME Come on, man, how do you not know what a fucking squad code is?
@@professionalantivaxxer4065 It's in your fantastical mind. You may be unstable. No flying for you. You do best by commenting on cooking videos.
@@professionalantivaxxer4065 You do best commenting on cooking videos. No flying for you.
Ask a few questions…. Yep you bet ha
Seriously wondering if this is a fake video. Common phraseology is butchered or missing. No proper read back of ATC instructions and ATC lets that slide?
It sounds like Jim Florentine. Maybe he gave up terrorizing telemarketers? 🤣
Sounds to me like symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning
Ask for progressive taxi instructions.
Your welcome.
Sounds fake.
you'll be guys amazed what high stress levels can do to your cognitive functions. you're forgetting/confusing the simplest things.
This video would be shown as proof to controllers on how NOT to act during a situation it’s a pilot in training. Save the snarky comments for off the radio. Help the plane land and don’t get frustrated. Shame on this controller
Did I miss something? Who said it was a training flight? Even if it was, the flight school should not let a pilot go solo into controlled airspace unless they know enough to interact with ATC and other controlled traffic.
Sure, the smart comments could be left for after landing, but other than that the controller provided excellent help. It was the pilot who didn’t know how to accept the help.
