- Опубликовано: 22 июл 2024
- This is the journey of creating a Project Zomboid Mod inspired by Fallout 4's Junk Jet. From development to editing, I enjoyed this project and hope it sparks some interest if you ever wanted to create your own mod! I'd love to hear your thoughts even if you have no coding experience.
As promised, all resources below - thanks for the support!

*1.* Thanks for watching! I hope there was enough details for those who are interested & not too much for those who don't want to hear all the technical details! Comment what you thought of the process or any ideas!
*2.* If you wanna chat, you can find me in @drizzijay discords
*3.* Where you at @judithmonsey9015?
Bro I clicked in to this thinking I was getting a dude making commentary over a dev blog. Instead, I click in to this dope shit that basically teaches me an in-depth process on how to tackle almost ANY project.
All I can say thank you dude, you absolutely rock for doing this and sharing it with us. I can use this project framework for so many things well outside of the bounds of PZD mod creation.
I think I might need a more accurate title or thumbnail then 😅
@@saint_kendrick Maybe lol I may have also just not been fully paying that much attention when I first read it too, totally possible 😂
Still, I'm really glad I did click in to it, because this is extremely helpful. And, while when I first commented last night I had no proper plans to make any mods for PZ, that changed almost overnight because I saw a comment that inspired me.
It was a comment on another video (I think it was a Kyle Middleton video about base defense), and the dude said it would be really cool to have the ability to create and install retractable, generator-powered ladders for 2nd+ floor bases that could be controlled both with manual switches and/or wirelessly (probably with customized TV remotes modified for that purpose specifically), instead of just always using sheet ropes.
I thought that was a REALLY titties idea. The way I envision it, it would most certainly be a late game goal for highly established and stable bases that could and most likely would require the incorporation of 4 skills (Carpentry, Electronics, Engineering, and Metalworking probably) at a relatively decent skill level. Which if memory serves correctly from my research, some of the games skills suffer from a lack of usefulness or recipes at later levels. Not only all of that, but it just fits with the entire theme of the game and with ad hoc solutions.
So granted, I know that's a lofty thing to want to mod into the game, I still am quite inspired by it, and would love to take a stab or twenty at it!
0:41 Love that you included the clip of Richie Eisler going after that sick UFO grind. Classic clip 🫡
Arguably one of the best cloud providers 🙏☁️
Azure, GCC & AWS can’t compete 😅
the editing on this was really really good. can def tell u put some time into this one and it shows
Cool vid, pretty in-depth. I've been wanting to start making my own mods too. One thing I dont like about the JJ as its represented in the video (havent tried in game yet) is how you hold it. its not a rifle. it's more like a minigun. Brita has a minigun I believe, could look into how they did it.
1). Love the shirt! 2) SECOND POST!!! 3) Love the channel! 4) Love this video! And 5) FANTASTIC IDEA!
Appreciate the support!
