If you're worried about status effects, the bottles that heal them are plenty common, and can be bought pretty cheap. I always made sure to have a bunch since they like to make you status'd
When the second phase version stampedes, just avoid him. He does it 4 times and tuckers out. In a pinch, you can always throw a shot put if he’s staggerable and you can’t land the fable or full R2. You got this!

Some bosses just hit different. I struggled soooo bad with blood starved beast in Bloodbourne my first time playing it, yet beat Gael and other bosses considered much harder quite swiftly. I Summoned and wrecked him in two tries once i saw that second phase. Just didnt feel up for the grind "p😅
Fight with Puppet of the Future, "Am I fat rolling, my stamina regen is slow" Literally says Shock in middle of screen. Also, the Monster of the Swamp is actually one of the best bosses imo. Once you learn it, it's so fun to make it a parry fight, super satisfying
A lot of people absolutely detest the swamp monster fight, and I can never understand why. It's like they fought a completely different boss than I did. I loved that thing. It was hard as balls, sure, but I enjoyed every attempt. Am I just a weirdo?

I had the same reaction regarding the swamp monster. When i fought him on my first playthrough, but on subsequent ones i learned to like him, and quite a lot actually. His first phase has a very nice moveset and telegraphed attacks. The second one is a little crazier but it's like the watchman on steroids. Some attacks are the same, and you just have to learn the new and the variants from the watchman's attacks

Second phase was a little similar to watchman obviously, but the timings were a little different. Second phase had me scared it would take forever, but it was more manageable than I thought. Fuoco was the first boss I "really" struggled with, and then when I saw so many people talking about how "Archbishop Andreus is your REAL first wall in the game", "Andreus's driving me insane" etc., I was honestly scared 😅 but then he turned out to be incredibly easy for me. I guess with time and experience you just really learn/realize not to be 'affected' by comments since they really won't predict your own experience. But in any case it's still nice to read comments like yours once in a while

Hey, man. One tip: dodging and perfect blocking aren't your only defensive options. Sometimes you can just run away from an attack chain and avoid taking any damage at all, if you choose the right direction to run in. This is especially important for a particular boss later in the game. You got this. I believe in you, and so do literally thousands of other people.
I hated hated HATED this boss. Also, this entire Barren Swamp is the second worst area in the game. Yes. It gets worse. Sheer rage. Green Monster is Probably the closest I came to actually quitting the game.

I might be waaay late with this comment, but I'm watching it after having played it myself and for anyone who still likes tips: I let the dude with the cannon just kill both puppets of the future for me. let the puppet stand in between and just dodge left or right whenever you hear the cannon zooming by. gets sthe job done with minimal effort. I felt like a genuis. also rlly interesting to see with what bosses ppl struggle with. I enjoyed green monster a lot and got him down within ten tries or so, but it took forever to beat the mad clown (for example), which you got down in just two (iirc) tries. loving your playthroughs as always.
Interesting the difference in perspective. Maximillian said this was one of his favorite bosses and I can see why. It really checks if you've mastered blocking, parrying and dodging up to this point.
People complain about bosses they don’t understand and dismiss how fun they can be until they get good enough to see how fun they can really be. I see it all the time. This boss is amazing. Second phase anyway. First phase isn’t bad. Still fun to me.
When i face a difficult boss, i usually respec my quartz tree to benefit my playstyle against that specific boss and after defeating it i change my build back to normal. Don't be afraid to mix and match your quartz tree, those coins are given to you for a reason
This is the boss I'm on right now, I got close to killing it 3 times, I love the design, it's phase 1 isn't a problem cause fire shreds, but it's phase 2 i hate with a passion, i am losing my mind fighting this thing.
You definitely need to spend a few minutes reading about status effects and what they do to P and enemies. Also, put some points in Capacity so you're not so heavy; being under "Slightly Heavy" will do wonders for your style of play. Other than that, loving the videos (as always.) P.S. Switch your Electric Coil head back to its original handle, it's WAY better!
Oh the green Monster ... Only boss I killed with the specter. Yesturday i played Lords of the Fallen, was lots of fun too, but I feel at least until now the Combat in Lies of P is better. Or at least the differences throw me of still. 5 Minutes in the video and already I wanna jump back into Lies of P NG+ Oh, and about the canons in the towers, if you postion yourself right as bait, you can let the shots open the big boxes, and also they can hit puppets. And then there is a riddle for you to solve, how did Alidoro regrow his lost finger?
I thought this boss was easier than the Archbishop, honestly. The really tricky part is avoiding the tentacle attacks, because they're so fast. But everything else is perfectly counterable. It just takes patience. I believe in you, dude. You beat the Orphan; you can beat this guy.
Today I tested a new weapon, Noblesse Oblige. Loved the moveset and damage, but it has a fable art which releases ergo and I lost 145k ergo (4-5% of available ergo) with just one attack. I didn't read the description and wasn't ready for this. Be aware guys
Yeah, I used the fire dagger, even upgraded it to +8 just for this fight, then used the specter and just smoked him in a couple tries. It was a pain to fight him solo.
Personally I really enjoyed this boss and didn't have too much trouble in any of my runs, but everyone's experience is gonna be different. I struggled with Victor who Mati just blasted through for example.
This one took me the most tries BY FAR on first playthrough (34). But i used the Booster Glaive/wrench combo for 90% of that one, and didn't level Advance much for elemental damage. Once i did beat him, though, things clicked and every other boss was dispatched quicker. I hadn't committed to spectre-free at that point, but the fights all felt doable. Only used two star fragments that first playthrough (BRB #1 and Fuoco). With the spectre, the fights went way too quick, and most bosses are too fun for that.
@@matiasgago Dude, you beat the Orphan of Kos. This guy is nothing compared to that. You just need to develop a strategy. Lies of P is way more demanding than FromSoft's games in that they require strategies as well as quick reflexes and good memory to beat bosses. If you can adjust your mindset to get in tune with the game's mechanics, you have definitely got this.
I don't know why people hate this boss so much. It took me like 9-10 tries to beat him, which isn't bad compared to others. And the second phase is just the Watchman again with a couple of new moves. I don't know, I liked this boss quite a bit. Not as good as previous ones, but it was still solid, IMO. But everyone finds different bosses more difficult than others. I thought Rom was significantly harder than Ebrietas in Bloodborne, and a lot of people consider the latter to be in the top 5 most difficult fights in the game.
Puppet of the Future is one of the easiest enemies to fight, but for some reason, not for Mati haha, loved it. Sometimes the brain simply ignore some stuff and thats it. Heavy load and shock debuff are a great combo to make the stamina dies.
Was waiting for this one, most hated boss in this game for sure. From the delay overheads with insane reach, awkward to parry red attacks (charge, jump), the unclear grab move, and second phase health sponge he's definitely a pain.
This boss took me some time. Rickety-rickety-wrecked me the first five tries. Then I just switched to a more powerful weapon, used my string-link attack, and set the big boy on fire. Fairly easy after that. Anyhow. It’s a new Mati upload, so it’s a good day to me.
Loving Huge the Rookie the minute I met him! ❤ Oh, the Green Monster! It looked like an easy one that I just forgot about with my dash/slash/dash/slash technique, but turned out to be the hardest boss in the game so far! Look forward to your REVENGE episode - I know gonna be epic!
I was quite shocked when you killed Victor so fast. Kind of a relief to see youre actually human😅 This boss is crazy. Took me two days to cool down before i was able to face him cool headed. Not the hardest one but definitely top 3 for me.
Victor took me like 30 tribes while this boss took 4 tries, I do use a phantom tbh on both but still wild how people struggle with different bosses so much
Pro tip: bind your grindstone to your other belt. hold X to bring it up. This way u can fix weapon and apply elements without switching from the pulse cell. I kept throwables on my lower belt. On the other/special belt where you have to hold X I had the grindstone, the abrasives, the locket that lets you teleport,and the diff items to remove status ailments. That can help for boss fights so u don’t ever have to switch from pulse cell. U still got this!
you need to utilize throwable in the 2nd phase of these bosses. once I get them to about a third left, I start spam throwing. it helps a ton!! this is the only late game bosses that I really felt had some bullshit too it. it took me a TON of tries. looking forward to watching you slay him! the rest are really tough, but feel more fair.
If you want to use throwables in a boss that’s you. They are too strong and make the fights too easy. Personally would not like seeing him use throwables unless it’s normal enemies
I am playing along with you, and NOPED hard on this boss when i saw second phase on my 4th round. He went down in second round with summon. I HAVE NO REGRETS. Got too many games to catch up on :p

This boss should be 2 separate bosses cause by time we reach the 2 phase we are out of pulse cells or just follow the victor fight with one health but cur in half.
keep coming back to teach that puppet emotes. if you do a lot of stuff in the game, you can teach him more. I think about 5 maybe? If you get em all then talk to him again you get a quartz. if you come back for ng+, youll still have them all, so it's free shit
Hey dude (or dudette), that's perfectly fine. Everyone has their own preferences. Personally, I hated Elden Ring despite loving DS1-3 and Bloodborne, but love the hell out of LoP. Hopefully a Soulslike game comes out that matches your tastes. As a FromSoft fan, you know these types of games give a feeling of satisfaction like no other. Hopefully we continue to get good games that offer that.

If you parry it, he just stops the attack and you can get some hits on him. Feels like a more reliable and better method to use

BTW, for the charge attack in p2, you can run perpendicularly, and when he's writhing on the ground it's a good for an attack or two.

Yeah, same. I like this boss a lot too and I didn't find it too hard. The decay resist converter helps a lot too.

I was quite shocked when you killed Victor so fast. Kind of a relief to see youre actually human😅 This boss is crazy. Took me two days to cool down before i was able to face him cool headed. Not the hardest one but definitely top 3 for me.
Victor took me like 30 tribes while this boss took 4 tries, I do use a phantom tbh on both but still wild how people struggle with different bosses so much

Pro tip: bind your grindstone to your other belt. hold X to bring it up. This way u can fix weapon and apply elements without switching from the pulse cell. I kept throwables on my lower belt. On the other/special belt where you have to hold X I had the grindstone, the abrasives, the locket that lets you teleport,and the diff items to remove status ailments. That can help for boss fights so u don’t ever have to switch from pulse cell. U still got this!

I haven't finished the game yet but this boss took me the most tries. 💀
you need to utilize throwable in the 2nd phase of these bosses. once I get them to about a third left, I start spam throwing. it helps a ton!! this is the only late game bosses that I really felt had some bullshit too it. it took me a TON of tries. looking forward to watching you slay him! the rest are really tough, but feel more fair.
If you want to use throwables in a boss that’s you. They are too strong and make the fights too easy.
Personally would not like seeing him use throwables unless it’s normal enemies

I am playing along with you, and NOPED hard on this boss when i saw second phase on my 4th round. He went down in second round with summon. I HAVE NO REGRETS.

I spent 7 days getting stomped. In the end it wasn’t even skill it was luck, he broke sequence and never did the grab attack.
Use the summon that’s why they have them in the game.

I had to resort to the spectre to get past the second phase.
This boss should be 2 separate bosses cause by time we reach the 2 phase we are out of pulse cells or just follow the victor fight with one health but cur in half.

Try falcon eyes for 2nd phase and lots of throwables. Keeping distance helped for me here

keep coming back to teach that puppet emotes. if you do a lot of stuff in the game, you can teach him more. I think about 5 maybe? If you get em all then talk to him again you get a quartz. if you come back for ng+, youll still have them all, so it's free shit

Hey dude (or dudette), that's perfectly fine. Everyone has their own preferences. Personally, I hated Elden Ring despite loving DS1-3 and Bloodborne, but love the hell out of LoP.
Hopefully a Soulslike game comes out that matches your tastes. As a FromSoft fan, you know these types of games give a feeling of satisfaction like no other. Hopefully we continue to get good games that offer that.
