Absolutely... Even Shiner, since 1994 in their early days, and Allen's side gig "The Life and Times" during the 2010s, then back again

So good to see Paul getting the rig run down. Lots of folks have chased his tone for years, myself included. Nice to see what the magic behind the magician is.

What a great rig rundown. I'll never forget the first time seeing Shiner in the 7th St Entry in Minneapolis so many years ago. Absolutely shocking, face-melting sound, which was somehow controlled, yet savagely crushing. Also, that short e-bow demo of the opening to "unglued" really brought me back. Thank you!!!

Thank you so much for covering these great guys. Shiner is a great and supremely underapprciated band.

Extra points for the Glazed Baby reference from Paul. Love those guys. Very pleased that I had Paul's tuning nailed as well. There's a few folks over at TalkBass that have been trying to work it out. My favourite bass player for many years and Paul's a super sweet dude. Was thrilled to finally meet them and see 'em in LA a few years back while I was living stateside. Shiner are the real deal.

Hell yea, nice work with interviewing these guys. Lula Divinia is one of my all-time favorite albums. The blend of heaviness and melody really changed my outlook on guitar-centric music.

I'm surprised Paul is getting such a massive low end, despite running a pedal that notoriously cuts bass frequencies. Guess it can't cut all of them, plus that massive cab setup helps too

Absolutely love me every Rig Rundown!!! I do have a Question for G.P. And or The Crew for the Rig Rundown. Exactly what are you guys using to record these episodes? Was there evolving gear and consider making a small mobile iso booth to get the best quality for us “Tone-heads”?Started building pedals with hopes of building Entire Rig from Lp Junior,Tele,Pedals,Cords,Plexi and Silver Jubilee eventually to attempt to recreate my favorite tones. Almost every piece of gear I’m building peaked my interest from multiple episodes of R.R.
Appreciate everyone’s hard work and enjoy every second of each episode🤘

We typically have to run on- and offstage, so we've cut corners in gear while trying to bringing you the highest-quality content with our given (and limited) access. With that preface, we film on two Canon C-100s, use Shure wireless lav mics with XLRs (plugged into Shure SM57s - unless an artist has a mic preference) that run into the camera's onboard preamps. We know it's not the most ideal "recording" setup or environment, but we've had to make adjustments to make our "rig" as portable as possible as most of these are filmed before/after soundcheck in a total time crunch. Thanks for your interest!

@@premierguitar It always sounds fantastic, especially running and gunning on the fly! that’s not an easy situation for sure! If your ever in the Rhode Island area would love to see an how an episode is setup/shot… I was a News Photog/Editor and Shot hundreds of bands 3-10 camera shoots. Started as a hobby that became way bigger than expected. I do miss many aspects of it. So if you need a free helper would be an honor to lug gear for you guys and watch an episode shot if in Boston/Providence. Free help lol!
