I saw them in Birmingham, Alabama a few days prior to this show in Nashville. Me and my friend were fortunate enough to make it to the front row. During the show I was looking at all of the gear being played trying to figure out what was what. I’m so happy they did another rig rundown so I could see all of the gear being played for that tour
19:00 I know a local luthier who has all of his builds painted and finished by a guy who used to paint for PRS. I'm not particularly a fan of PRS guitars, but their paint jobs are always fantastic.
Cool rundown. Shinedown is my and my 7 year old daughter's favorite band. Next time, we'll have to stand closer to the stage so she can get one of Zach's guitars!
I saw these guys in 2015 at the Pearl Harbor Navy base (I was stationed at Hickam AFB at the time) Zach's guitars were gorgeous and Eric was playing the awesome Gary Grainger basses.
Curious about why they're using IRs (unless these aren't cab IRs and are actually tone matches of amps/preamps) in the Axe Fx to then go into the power amp and cabs, unless they're using one pair of outs from the Axe without cab sims to end up at the Fryette power amps, and another pair with the IR cab sims to go direct to the board Also not sure what phase alignment is actually needed if all preamp sources are from the Axe Fx, unless he means aligning the iso cabs with the direct IR signal.
I’m using IR’s with this rig for the digital L/R outputs. I’m using 3 of the 4 outputs on the axe fx to have multiple stereo sends. On output 2 I have a send with an enhancer to spread the width and depth going into the left of the Fryette. Running the ox box and iso cabs in parallel so if one goes out, the other is still working…instead of going series where you’d have to run through the ox to the iso cabs. Same scenario from output 3 into the right side of the Fryette. The external clocks are being used to convert digital to analog and also keep all my time based effects perfectly synched with the extremely wide stereo spread. The internal clock of the Axe FX just wasn’t fast enough or sound as good as the rubidium analog clock. 🤓
@@FoppstarAmps Thanks a lot for the detail..that makes sense for the way you're using the Axe's outputs. So there are 4 x parallel stereo signal path destinations..the Fryette, the digital out with IRs, the iso cabs and the Ox. Interesting that the Axe's clock isn't up to the task. Did you find that the issue was with changing between overall song tempos or with the way the time based effects land in the overall stereo image?
I own a Myers PRS. I’m not a fan of those designs he showed, yet he seems like a cool dude, and Shinedown is great live band. The sweet tea McCarty is killer
Lol, the level of petty to get mad about someone painting a guitar pink. Is the “someone who shall not be named” going to apologize to Elliot Easton for marketing a pink strat? I’m not even a Shinedown fan but good for Zach for making this public. Zach should just put names in a hat and pull out which ones he’s going to anger that day.
What’s the story with this s-type model at 13:10? Looks like it has narrow field pickups, but still pretty straty looking. Sounds like it predates the silver sky too. Interesting!
I'm actually working on a PRS that is gonna be my first signature model. Sadly, no production run yet on it. Still trying to figure out what company is gonna release it. I'm talking to a few.
The whole pink guitar thing is insane. They stole the design from fender, they stole the pink color from fender and myriad other companies, and most importantly they don't own the idea of repainting a guitar.
It was definitely John complaining to PRS about it that probably got them to give a call, not surprised at all lmao, zero chance anyone at PRS gave a flying fuck at all
@@matthewf9500 I guess we have different ideas of what looks good. I dislike plastic surgery on women, and cheesy sports cars ; I like guitars to look like guitars, ,- not yuppie furniture.
I'm never a hater of complex rigs, but at some point I really started wondering what all this is for. I mean these guys have a fairly basic rock sound, with the only complication being the acoustics. Maybe they're doing more live than they are on the album
Seems pretty straightforward to me honestly. Just duplicates some items because it’s stereo. Pretty basic axe fx rig with a few pedals. The ox boxes are extremely common these days as well. One of the biggest rock bands world wide, so redundancies makes sense
We dialed in every song for a specific tone, using specific pickups, digital amp blocks and gain structures. It’s also part of the fun to be able to play whatever you want as a guitar player. It’s my job to do the rest and make it all work! 🤓
So.... I'm kind of late to the party on this, but who exactly got upset about him painting the guitar pink? If anything I'd only be upset that he didn't finish it by putting some sprinkles on it to make it look like a donut that Homer j Simpson would eat 🤣
Zach has to have the best artist contract with a guitar company ever. But seriously he pretty much has a new guitar on every song but they change the strings every two shows.... what a waste.

So sick seeing Drew Foppe on a rig rundown! Guy is a full blown legend and one of the best guitar techs out there.
This is one of the most satisfying rig rundown, gear wise, in a long time.
These techs should be paid tons of money. They are working hard. Respect
Don’t worry… They are.
LOL love that someone was mad about the pink. Glad Zach got a pink one.

Crazy to see Hoogie again after all these years! Dude used to roadie for Breaking Benjamin back in the 2000s. Glad he’s still in the business.
Some of these techs seem like the most down-to-earth people I swear. Love the guitar and rock music business/scene.

This must be the craziest line up of PRS guitars on the road for sure !
Good on Zach for showing up
Saw the open for VH in 04'. Glad to see that they actually stuck around.
Pretty tight to see Chris always representing the sickest band that ever did it.
7:36 Best hat ever! Really fun video: thanks, as always.... you guys kill it
Foppstar!

I love your beautiful guitar
27:15 perfect camera angle, looks chris got his hair back, how is called this hair style..? is punk hair style.?
Great rundown! 🎸🎸🎸🎸
I NEED THE VIRGIL ALBLOH PRS THATS SUCH A SPECIAL GUITAR, RIP VIRGIL
That pink guitar is SO badass!

The most meta prs in existence
WOW, I wish I could afford just one
More bass! Love it! 👍
That pink guitar, kind a reminds me of strawberry, chocolate, and vanilla, ice cream swirl lol.
So cool!
Id llove to see a RR on Frank and Todd of Slash featuring MK and TC
Does anyone know what the “Suck Knob” actually does, if anything?
Maybe I’m easily amused, but I love that orange video arcade game style kill switch.
Be super cool if Zach would share those Axe patches! He got some sick gear!

Love the teasing part 😂

PRS NF3
@@premierguitar i had just never noticed it was such an S-type body I guess - I want one - narrow field pickups 😍
Shoutout to that ETID Radical shirt
Eric's tech looks like he hates him haha
That bass player seems like a cool dude
The. Best.

Nothing could use a heavy relic job like a PRS.In the looks dept., they are the skinny jeans of guitars; they are to Gibson what Jackson is to Fender.
that comparison doesnt work cause PRSs are good
@@AB-vn2jc agree that they play and sound great. Rarely a contender in the looks dept., however.
@@markferguson3745 You’re crazy, Gibson don’t look near as good as PRS.

imagine changing strings every two songs on all of those machines. jesus.
Isn’t this the band that mimes onstage?
Oh boy, you'd be surprised how little that narrows it down

Acoustics are the easiest part of the rig. I have Martin Acoustics with Fishman pickups through the wireless, direct to a Neve DI. That’s it. 🤓
I’m the only guitar player so for me the rig has to be complex. I’m with you tho. I don’t need it to be a spaceship 😂
8 channels of guitar at once to me seems a bit much I agree. Lol

Badass ETID shirt
Paul Reed was mad at you?
Guess I’m the only one that doesn’t like silver sky’s at this point. It still blows my mind they took off... that head stock, **shudders** lol.
Different people have different tastes?? Imagine that
@@hchoe741 I mean, obviously…
Jesus Loves You
who was mad about the pink guitar? PRS?
Mayer.
lol, don't paint a guitar you own
What a badarse rig man
Do a Ed Sheeran Rig Rundown?
Would have been funny if Eric Bass was the drummer. Like the only guy in ZZ Top without a beard is named Frank Beard.
Prestige.. worldwide 😂
21 guitars for a set? Seems a little much lol

Buckethead LP has 2 arcade buttons but w/e
Hahaha yes it was a arcade button, but it was red so he's in the clear 😄
Guess he isn’t sponsored my SIT anymore
It’s a video game button.
Waring's have Alnico pickups.

These guys today play only custom or designer guitars. It has gotten crazy.
Can only play? Or, like to play since they've been given the opportunity? Beacuase, I totes would too.
Shinedown has been around for 20 years…not exactly “new guys” lol 😂
U wuld leave prs, go to gibson and paint my own colors and not get an angry call😂!
I was completely distracted by Eric's tech, I don't want to say he was creepy but..
🤣
Dude in the over alls looks like he hates his life and everyone around him and hes fighting to keep something in his ass from comin out 30:00
Between Mayer and PRS and the rest of the fart-sniffers it doesn’t surprise me at all that one of them would get mad he painted his own guitar smh.
Lte to the show but the bass texh loo s miserable.
Zach has to have the best artist contract with a guitar company ever. But seriously he pretty much has a new guitar on every song but they change the strings every two shows.... what a waste.
Im sorry. Late to the show but the bass tech looks miserable.
what dumb guitars. bunch of brands and vanity
Why are you so negative, man?
The first 8mins are of a guy showing off how to ugly up and waste money ruining beautiful guitars
