When he told her his name and she said, "hi, Mike," she said it with that little bit of relief that made me tear up. She was afraid and exhausted and was 100% depending on him. That little connection was so important right then!
Awww. The 82 year old outside the bar reminded me of my dad, who recently passed at 91. He had a great sense of humor, and always had everyone laughing. ❤️

The first clip shows a nice routine ALS call. Most people don't even understand how much information medics know, and how much they can do in the field.

Two things I think of are: Argyria, a rare skin condition that can happen if silver builds up in your body over a long time. Or : Cyanosis is a blue hue to the skin caused by low blood oxygen. (Not likely here though) Blue is a completely normal thing in the elderly as well.
Props to the triple a worker for calling just in case the lady might be having a medical emergency. Good care for the customers well being right there
As a AAA driver (formerly) one of the questions is "are you in a safe area or in any sort of distress" a COMMON response for people who are hot or think we will get to them quicker is "Yes".. that prompts AAA to issue a fast response and the AAA dispatchers call 911.. that's what happened to the older lady.

Aww, he's just an old man who doesn't know when to stop. 🥺 My grandpa was the same way, with the working outside in the heat even when he was told not to...hope his family or friends can convince him to stop, before he ends up dead like my Papa
So sorry for your loss. My grandpa is 89 and still walks a mile a day. He was raised on a farm and loves outside. He still tends his little garden but thank the Lord I’ve talked him out of climbing on ladders and mowing and stuff. My “Pa” is priceless, I can’t imagine the weight of your loss. *hugs*
The "miracle girl" with the trick knee was so freaking adorable and wholesome! I hope my mom still has her sense of humor like her in ten more years.
I am not too far off those ages and hope I can still be as cool as these ones!

Honestly it's more like the ambulance ppl are good ppl here... I've had multiple trips to the hospital, always polite, always submissive..... and I'm over here dropping gold on them and nothing!

Wow, I just watched yesterday, a video of a young cop yank a 68 yr old woman out of her car, put her in hand cuffs, cause she was confused about signing a ticket. She was hysterical. These people are so kind.
No she refused to sign the ticket

It’s always calming and cheery so see the patients are in good spirits even in thier bad ser umstances. God bless all first responders

The first guys is so so sweet! He is so positive and joyful through all of this. He made humor out of the most serious situations and never stopped smiling. Prayers to you.

I've always say I'm retiring to Az. Was thinking Tempe but, after watching how Mesa FD handle that call with the elderly lady, they were amazing. Had to giggle when she says you're not changing me are you?" FF:"Nope, we're free."

I wonder if they caught what was going on with the second guy just in time? He definitely didn't look right. Sometimes routine stops help save a life in time.
I have been FOS many times for car accidents and my grandmother always thought being an EMT was my calling but with that old man or little kids I wouldn't be able to lose them I would think it was my fault
That is so sad she had to ask if they were going to charge her for driving her home.

The elderly couple is exactly like my grandparents who are 84 and 89. Spry and walk at least a mile every day. My grandpa is a jokester too. 😹😹😹 I just want to squeeze her!

The second couple was definitely a poster child for why rechecking drivers licenses at an old age is a good idea.

They cut the tire incident short so here's what happened after
PD & Emergency Services learned that they lived around the corner so the fire department changed her tire. Then one of the fire fighters drove their car home.
Great ending & I wish they didn't cut it out
Law enforcement officers/Fire/Ems should be taught how to pick simple door locks
They already need to know so much information why should they learn that too? Just to save a door?
I'm sure it's protocol they are not allowed to change tires in case they damaged something or hurt themselves but the AAA part makes sense most older people have it I thought I heard him ask that

The lady with the huge knees are exactly why you should never get a knee or a hip replacement!! The surgery actually worsens any problems! Run from a doctor who wants to do elective surgery! I had one tell me if he didn’t do knee surgery on me my knee would never get better! Chose not to have any surgery and my knee is fine. I am in great shape, so glad .
I think the huge knees came from when she got into a car crash several decades ago.
They almost had to take her legs off.. The knees probably looked like that because of that accident. Has nothing to do with the artifical joints.. I know several people with artifical joints. Their doing fantastic

That can be caused by heart failure my brother has it it's caused by lack of oxygen which can be caused by several things usually related to heart or lungs bless the dear man
