Thank you, Dr. Li. Through your videos, you've simplified our understanding of our bodies in the most fascinating way. So eye-opening, informative and creative! I love your books too. Watched and downloaded.
People underestimate the value of general daily movement. I mean, lifting weights/formal cardio are both great. But don't be sedentary. Are you walking 15-20K steps on a daily basis year round? Are you taking stairs daily? Are you doing daily mobility/stretching work? Are you standing more than you sit? I think if people got more generally active on a daily basis, they'd see a lot of positive change from it. But sadly, society is now conditioned to be sedentary on a daily basis.
eyeballs have cushions of fat behind them. Hence, weight loss often produces that sunken look in the eyes. As an aging person, I now appreciate some padding on my hips. If I fall, this might be the thing that spares a broken hip. Frailty is not something I aspire to at age 82.
Go out and look around. The vast majority of people you see are obese or al least over weight. People do not need to be fat shamed BUT being over weight is not healthy and leads to a host of illnesses. When you look around you can see all the unhealthy people without taking a blood test or a fitness test "NORMAL" for the average American is "UNHEALTHY" The health of society is in decline. Processed food manufacturers need to hear from consumers that less added sugar, oil and salt is wanted in their food products. Why is there so much added sugar in everything, even bread. That's just crazy Email, text, tweet or phone your favorite producer of poison and let them know consumers want less salt, oils and sugars in their products. Let their customer service department know that all the extra added salt, oil and sugar is not necessary or desired and is causing health issues.
I don't understand some what you say but I am going to eat some of the food you say I have people tell me am backward because I went to special school they made full of me dr but I can listen to you I feel comfortable not frightened any more feel comfortable with you dr
Asalamalaikum God bless you Dr li what an amazing way to describe importance of fat. Amazing InshaaAllah may Allah guide you to the right path always. Thank you for this educational video so informative.
Thank you, Dr. Li, your books bring revelation, so much so I will never eat the same old way again. I never realized I am in control of maintaining proper nutrition for my 5 body defenses. The great part about it is that I'm never hungry by choosing the correct foods to enjoy. My thinking has been transformed, and knowledge is power. I'm now enjoying all different kinds of fruits and vegetables. Question: What foods can help release neurotransmitters in a damaged brain? It seems I suffer now with major depression from MVA. I'm now resistant to meds. I was looking into medicinal mushrooms?
My understanding is resistance stimulates bone and also muscle. This is involved with the brown fat as well. It doesn’t have to be all that heavy…but lifting 10 pounds 20 times is 200 lbs., certainly more than I can lift. Tai Chi is also reported to stimulate bone density. I’m doing a modified push up using the window sill. The trick is consistency. Pushing, pulling…involving weight of some sort.
