Hi Cory, I am so happy I've discovered your RUclips videos. I have seen your patterns and designs for some time now. Love your projects with Sherri McConnell. You are such an amazing quilter! Your work is spot on perfect! Yes, I would love to see more detailed specific videos on specific techniques. ie flying geese, getting perfect seems, maintaining the perfect quarter inch seam allowance, etc. Loved this pillow quilting tutorial. Appreciated your transparency with forgetting the actual basting . You had a good excuse with demonstrating to us earlier. I just plain forget to do things because I'm too anxious to get to the next step. 🙂 But your work is BEAUTIFUL!

Thank you for the pillow demo. I like how firm the pillow appears. Maybe I'm buying the wrong insert because even if I have a pillow top that measures the same size as the pillow form, it doesn't look nice and full and firm. I end up with a limp pillow. I need to try again. I have a shelf full of pillow inserts waiting to be used. More of that stash of planned gifts that never got made!

Thank you Corey. A fantastic video. While I had heard of the Herra (sp?) tool, I had not seen a demo before. Looks very easy to useb and straight forward. I was glad to hear that you will be doing more videos on techniques. I was intrigued with the idea of a 2 inch binding but wonder how easy it is to flip over and stitch around all of the sandwiched layers. I really liked the look of the narrower binding on the pillow. A video demo on binding would be great. Thank you!

I’ll definitely need to do a binding tutorial! I like the 2” size precisely because it snugs up right against the outside edge of the quilt. There’s not as much wiggle room for inconsistent sewing…it keeps those sewing lines much straighter on the back of the quilt.

Hi. Awesome tutorial. I still wonder where I go wrong when I do flying geese by placing the 2 squares on top of another larger square and stitching on both side of the lines, cutting and then placing the other square between the 2 squares. Tips for this method would be great. Thanks.

Great video! I would love to see your thoughts on how you choose fabrics for a quilt. For example, when you sew along to someone else’s pattern but use your fabric, how do you decide what to use where?

I would love to see a tutorial on flying geese. I struggle immensely with that.

Corey.. Just an FYI... I also bought the QS rotary cutter.
Thought I would hate it since it's kind of heavy - but just like the rulers - I'm in love with.it. I think it cuts down on wrist fatigue. If you get the chance, you should try it.

I didn’t realize that QS had a rotary cutter also. I’m so glad you mentioned it…I’m so partial to my 60mm Olfa but as much as I like the QS rulers I’d definitely try the cutter!

@@CorianderQuilts the QS rotary cutter is designed for left and right handed people . It uses regular 45mm blades. I have a retreat this week and I will be packing it to take with me to show to my friends.

    Hello
Enjoying the teaching and your approach. You are so easy to follow. Thank you
Do you wait for the basting to dry before you quilt? Love your fabric design too. ❤

This spray baste isn't really wet--I can quilt it as soon as it's basted.

I will also need to get me a nice wood Hera marker. I'm sure I will find one at the upcoming Craft, Sewing, & Quilt show I plan on attending. Do you have a video on how to cut and piece this particular block? Thank you!

I don’t have a tutorial on this specific block but I would like to do more block tutorials!

I would live this pattern for a wall hanging. Is it available for a 40x40 wall hanging?

    Love this tutorial!!! Question
When using 2 inch binding with the machine does your stitches going in the seam on on the binding?

    • @CorianderQuilts
      @CorianderQuilts  11 месяцев назад

Thanks so much! I prefer top top stitch on the binding rather than in the ditch when I do machine binding. I have a video on my machine binding technique here: ruclips.net/video/TSom8s63e3U/видео.html
