I love your workouts! I've been doing them for 2 months consistently. I am not a senior, but I found your channel in search of strength workouts. I started with 5 & 8 lb weights. I am now able to do 15 lb weights with this workout. You're very good at explaining what to do and have proper form. Your workouts are very challenging! Thank you!

Hi Lauren, I turned 79 on Sunday, and I just started working out with you. This is my third workout, and it was the hardest so far. I started with 1 pound weights on the recommendation of my doctor, which seems very wimpy, but by the end of the workout, I’m glad they’re only 1 pound. I’m looking forward to eventually working my way up to heavier weights and really enjoying working out with you. Thank you.
This is one of my favorite strength workouts. I want others to know that your workouts are truly strength building. After 1.5 years of 2 times/week with your workouts, I can now do things that were too hard for me before. It works. It works because you offer challenging, but doable, workouts. I especially appreciate the frequent small reminders about form - it's easy to forget when you are working hard! Thanks!

Hello Lauren. I've been doing your "Strength" Workout by Type. Only have 20 left to do of the 61 sessions. I'm 67 and have never enjoyed working out. My sister turned me on to your channel and I love it! The challenges of the 20-40 min workouts are perfect. I also love your approach in reminding us to keep our core engaged, proud chest, etc. I used 10 lbs for this workout. Keep it coming!
This was a really good workout and I got sweaty…😅. I love full body workouts that incorporate everything! My heart rate hit all the zones too…lol. I used 8 and 10 lb weights…great job with this one!!!
Looking forward to this workout. I have been following you since heart surgery just over a year ago and have built up enough strength to challenge myself with these! BTW, I have an Apple Watch and often don't know what workout to choose when monitoring my activity with you. Any suggestions? (or maybe you could put in the notes for each workout in future)
Great to hear! I have an apple watch too. Just go by the workout title. So for this workout, you would set it to "traditional strength training". Hope that helps!

I am feeling well challenged, yet enjoy the pleasant commentary from you, (including the reminders to keep the core engaged, tummy tucked, and knees bent, at appropriate moments!Thank-you for those!) I 've worked out with you 2-3 times per week for the last 6 weeks, and it has given me some new energy, and enthusiasm to do other things. This certainly was one of your more challenging classes, Lauren! It’s good that we challenge ourselves as we age! I had to overcome some fear after a knee injury, which I am SO HAPPY to let you know that after 2 years since the injury and after 6 months consistently working out with you five days a week, I have diverted meniscus surgery! I am almost 100% before injury! I alternated between 5lbs and 8lbs❤ thank you doesn’t seem to describe how much I appreciate your channel!!!❤🙏🏼
To update you Lauren: I'm 3 1/2 wks post anterior rt. hip replacement & all movements, but floor exercises, have been lifted. I've even been cleared for recumbent bike. THIS workout was what I needed to challenge myself from fear of abduction hip movements. I wasn't able to do all of the "wood chop knee lift" move ( I crumbled after 2 on the rt. leg😢). I took a break and finished the rest. Again, thank you, Lauren, for your conscientious & innovative exercises. 😘
Hi Lauren, I’m 64 and have had 5 surgeries in last 3 years, including both hip replacement,, I am finally feel great and started doing a lot of your workouts about 2 months ago and love them all,, the variety of times,types, weights etc and I’m feeling strongest I’ve felt in so long, the weight slow to come off,, but know I’m stronger and healthier because of your videos!!! Hi Lauren, I learned yesterday while listening to a health podcast, that seniors should do at least 2 days per week of strength training. I'm 66 and this was a perfect workout. It's challenging but doable.
I've been doing your Beginning Strength workout and enjoyed it, so tried this one for walking today. I am 69 and certified in yoga training, but believe the body needs a mix of routines and always weights, especially for women prone to osteoporosis. I really enjoyed this and will be back for more. You are the best I've found online that doesn't teach down to seniors. Thank you.
I'm 66 and this is my second attempt at your strengthening workouts. Although a good challenge, your stretching is such that I have not experienced any pain afterwards. I like the music, your calm voice, the setting (colors, clean, fresh background), the 20 seconds to prepare in between movements. My osteoarthritic pains have gone away even after the first workout. Weight training is the best for arthritis (in my case). I look forward to trying all your other workouts. Thank you!
Thank you for this new strength workout Lauren. It was challenging but I’m really happy I could do it. Strength training was never on my wanting to do list yet finding your channel as an instructor was definitely added to my weekly rotation last year and has made me not dread it. There are only 3 channel on RUclips that I use regularly and yours is one of them. I love great teachers.

Hi Lauren, I am really grateful for this video as I'm 60 years old and recovering from a trapeziectomy. With my hand in a cast, then splint for 6 weeks, then with a right hand and fingers that could barely move, I needed an exercise where I could still work the rest of my body, whilst protecting my hand. You always said to make the exercise our way and this was what I did, progressing the size of weight to use with my left and just moving my right arm in tune with the left, but no weight. In this way, and with a calorie controlled diet, I managed to lose 20 pounds and increase my muscle mass. Your video was a godsend, as I can't do floor work (difficult to get down and up with the bad hand) and I'm looking for more standing strength exercises in your videos. If you can recommend one, I'd be grateful. Thanks so much for your wonderful work.

Whoa. I am humbled. I really had to "do me" and drop to 5 pounds for most of it. I had my quarterly phone check-in with my Accordant Care nurse yesterday who says "Well I know you're so good about exercising, but I always ask, how has your exercise been?" And I'm "uh ... yeah ... what exercise." I've just let things go recently and decided to get back to it yesterday with Pilates and a walk. Today I dialed in for weights and this looked perfect. It is a perfect workout but I'm so deconditioned! A big wakeup call for me. Thank you Lauren. 💙

At 69 I am new to this great channel. I have shoulder discomfort so will very carefully work up from 3lbs today to higher weights, body permitting (I'm sweating). Really enjoyed how quietly, gently and positively you gave instructions. Great job. I will do more. I love the stability ball routines and those with weights.

I set my alarm for 5:15 am, take a cup of coffee back to bed, put on my exercise clothes and join you for the exercise workout for the day. This certainly was one of your more challenging classes, Lauren! It’s good that we challenge ourselves as we age! I had to overcome some fear after a knee injury, which I am SO HAPPY to let you know that after 2 years since the injury and after 6 months consistently working out with you five days a week, I have diverted meniscus surgery! I am almost 100% before injury! I alternated between 5lbs and 8lbs❤ thank you doesn’t seem to describe how much I appreciate your channel!!!❤🙏🏼

To update you Lauren:
I'm 3 1/2 wks post anterior rt. hip replacement & all movements, but floor exercises, have been lifted. I've even been cleared for recumbent bike.
THIS workout was what I needed to challenge myself from fear of abduction hip movements.
I wasn't able to do all of the "wood chop knee lift" move ( I crumbled after 2 on the rt. leg😢). I took a break and finished the rest.

Hi Lauren, I’m 64 and have had 5 surgeries in last 3 years, including both hip replacement,, I am finally feel great and started doing a lot of your workouts about 2 months ago and love them all,, the variety of times,types, weights etc and I’m feeling strongest I’ve felt in so long, the weight slow to come off,, but know I’m stronger and healthier because of your videos!!! Ty ❤

this is my "go to" workout when I can't decide which one to to. And I'm up to 5 pounds now! I remember when it was ONE pound a few years ago! BTW-I love it when you encourage us to match the breath with the movement.

Hi Lauren, I learned yesterday while listening to a health podcast, that seniors should do at least 2 days per week of strength training. I'm 66 and this was a perfect workout. It's challenging but doable.

I've been doing your Beginning Strength workout and enjoyed it, so tried this one for walking today. I am 69 and certified in yoga training, but believe the body needs a mix of routines and always weights, especially for women prone to osteoporosis. I really enjoyed this and will be back for more. You are the best I've found online that doesn't teach down to seniors. Thank you.

I'm 66 and this is my second attempt at your strengthening workouts. Although a good challenge, your stretching is such that I have not experienced any pain afterwards. I like the music, your calm voice, the setting (colors, clean, fresh background), the 20 seconds to prepare in between movements. My osteoarthritic pains have gone away even after the first workout. Weight training is the best for arthritis (in my case). I look forward to trying all your other workouts. Thank you!

Hi Lauren, I am really grateful for this video as I'm 60 years old and recovering from a trapeziectomy. With my hand in a cast, then splint for 6 weeks, then with a right hand and fingers that could barely move, I needed an exercise where I could still work the rest of my body, whilst protecting my hand. You always said to make the exercise our way and this was what I did, progressing the size of weight to use with my left and just moving my right arm in tune with the left, but no weight. In this way, and with a calorie controlled diet, I managed to lose 20 pounds and increase my muscle mass.
Your video was a godsend, as I can't do floor work (difficult to get down and up with the bad hand) and I'm looking for more standing strength exercises in your videos. If you can recommend one, I'd be grateful. Thanks so much for your wonderful work.

Whoa. I am humbled. I really had to "do me" and drop to 5 pounds for most of it. I had my quarterly phone check-in with my Accordant Care nurse yesterday who says "Well I know you're so good about exercising, but I always ask, how has your exercise been?" And I'm "uh ... yeah ... what exercise." I've just let things go recently and decided to get back to it yesterday with Pilates and a walk. Today I dialed in for weights and this looked perfect. It is a perfect workout but I'm so deconditioned! A big wakeup call for me. Thank you Lauren. 💙

At 69 I am new to this great channel. I have shoulder discomfort so will very carefully work up from 3lbs today to higher weights, body permitting (I'm sweating). Really enjoyed how quietly, gently and positively you gave instructions. Great job. I will do more. I love the stability ball routines and those with weights.

I set my alarm for 5:15 am, take a cup of coffee back to bed, put on my exercise clothes and join you for the exercise workout for the day.
