I love how the video starts like a news report with the music! Pretty cool.
Isn’t this going against the law on trumps side??? Privilege
Love these way more than shorts. Keep it up Law by Mike
What about Biden having boxes of documents?
Hunter Biden's laptop collusion with Russia?
Hillary's emails?
And all the other alleged crimes committed by Biden, the Clintons, Obama, Pelosi, Fauci, and others?
Why are they only going after Trump for his alleged crimes when all the Democrats' alleged crimes are even worse?
Good, you’re the best
I like how objective and unbiased these are, he genuinely looks at both sides of the argument. I guess that's necessary in his profession though.
except when you represent your client you should definitely be biased in their favor. at least i’d hope so lol
@@michael567jober Playing devil's advocate is also important
That's what laywers do!
@@michael567jober When actually arguing for his client, he would obviously have to argue for his side. But lawyers have to fully understand both sides of the case and consider arguments that could be made against them and how to counteract them. Although yes, obviously in the courtroom the lawyer would be making arguments for one side and not saying anything that would hurt their client's case.
@@justyourfriendlyneighborho903 well said
Those adoptive "parents" are scum, pure scum. If you take kids in you do it for their benefit, not to pimp them out. Utterly disgusting!
My better half and I took in two kids because THEY needed a family to care about them. We never got nickel one, that wasn't ever the important part.
Their lack of self awareness is both sad and unsurprising.
This is my entire take on adoption if I ever want to have any sort of children. I want to give kids a good home out of the kindness in my heart, not to exploit them. The people who do that are legit sociopaths
An important note: While copyright law does not affect game mechanics, gameplay *systems* (not the hardware, but specific unique features) can be patented. It's why we didn't have minigames on loading screens when load times used to be horrendous, because Namco-Bandai held a 20-year patent on it until 2015!
True. Warner brothers patented the “nemesis system” in their middle earth games and Nintendo patented the building mechanics in tears of the kingdom.
Dude just walked over and cut the trees as if he couldn't call the authorities to asses the situation?
He destroyed something that took a decade to develop and caused permanent damage to this person's property and caused avoidable stress. Add trespass and vigilante to the list.
100+ year old trees
Some kids are starting to sue their parents for posting photos and videos of them online.
Yeah and it's entirely fair. Most post very disturbing photos, like photos of their naked underage children when there's tons of predators online, and that's why they're being sued. Most social media parents exploit their children for views and don't care if they get traumatized by it, because people can and likely have stalked those who were posted online by their parents
In my opinion the only legal photos online are baby pictures
lmao. I love law by mike. He's WAY more unbiased then some Lawyer channels I've watched. That is RARE these days. A1
Indeed, mike unlike most lawyers on RUclips is mostly unbiased (I know he must have some bias I have not seen any yet though)
@@BthIX no he isn’t he is heavily biased towards the political left
No, his classified documents segment was extremely biased.
1. Failure to mention that Trump was on tape saying "I could have declassified this document but I didn't" destroying the defense that the president declassified everything at Mar A Lago
2. Citing Elon Musk's opinion as an expert take 😂
3. Leaving out that Mike Pence had classified documents too which falsely paints the picture that only democrats are getting off easy
4. Framing Trump being gone after because he "wasn't polite" when the reality is by refusing to comply with the requests to turn over all the classified documents like Pence and Biden did he was obstructing justice, the documents Trump had were a higher classification, they were left in much more careless places like the bathroom, and Trump was caught on tape actually showing people the classified documents unlike Biden
Mike either didn't read the indictment or purposely left out all this information to make Trump look better, and idk which is worse
To be clear im perfectly okay with throwing the book at Biden, Pence and Hillary for their handling of classified materials but it's an objective fact that Trump broke more laws in his mishandling and its not even comparable
This is trump we're talking about though who has been in legal trouble for decades and lies about everything and gets away with it. I think its fair that he being targeted way more than other politicians. I still want politicians to go to jail but Trump deserves it more than any other politican. Also knowing this background it's easy to see why people against him are less forgiving of his mistakes versus Biden or Ted Cruz.

Full-grown trees are very expensive, so depending on how many and what kind they were, 600k might not be excessive. That's a bad neighbor..lol.
Yeah. Half the time when my two fave Reddit narrators pull a story from r/legaladvice, it’s TREE LAW. (Capitalizing because before they start reading the story, they chant TREE LAW! TREE LAW!! 😂
😂
@@GrumpyOldFart2what's tree law?
@@junior523 Exactly as it sounds. It’s laws (USA) regarding the disposition of trees on your property. If you intentionally cut down trees on someone else’s property, there’s a whole host of crap that can come down on you.
@@GrumpyOldFart2TREE LAW TREE LAW!!!!
TREE LAW!! And he should have included the landscapers in the suit also. They’re also responsible for making sure that the person asking for the service owns that property.
You don't have to take everyone involved in a case to court. You can pick and choose. And clearly, a celebrity is able to pay more then a landscaper.
Tree law? Like aquateen hunger force?
@@mamluk True, but a landscaper, or at least a REPUTABLE landscaper, would make sure that the property in question actually belonged to the customer asking for the service. At the very least, they should have their license pulled. (CA requires licensing; not sure of other states).
@@sorrymrgoogle2601 Not sure of the aquateen hunger force reference, but tree law is “Tree Law is a Gnarly, Twisted Branch of the Legal System
These lawyers specialize in arboreal arbitration.”.
600,000 is most likely an appropriate amount maybe even more
I have probably the stupidest question regarding the Trump trial. If the documents had extremely high clearance and they will likely need to speak about what is in them, will the judge and lawyers need to at least have some clearance as well? I know then the obvious answer is "What about the jury?" That's where many of my questions are coming from. Given the sensitivity of the information case & the clearance most of it has, what role will that play in it?
I'm not a lawyer but in similar cases it is up to some random military guy to make the call. Sometimes the judge will have eyes on it, sometimes not. In this case it's not relevant. The content of the documents is not important, only what kind of classified the documents are. So in trumps case it will probably not be read by judge or jurors.
Usually they would call someone who has the clearance and tell basically what's in it with some quotes if needed
Judge doesn't need a security clearance. Trump's lawyers will have to get clearances ASAP. The process of including classified documents is based on the CLASSIFIED INFORMATION PROCEDURES ACT (CIPA). Jury doesn't need security clearances because the documents will be distilled down into the least sensitive form that gives the jury the gist. This process is based on CIPA. Places like Lawfare get into that better than can be described in a RUclips comment.
@@lovelysakurapetalsytYea, hope they have to call Trump himself 😂😅
The video started as some kind of News report 😂
you like that?

@LawByMike it was also funny how abruptly it ended 😂😂
Tree laws are pretty strict from what some reddit stories tell. I remember there being some prorevenge stories about some neighbor running over some trees and it cost him a million dollars because trees are apparently very valuable.
I feel like in this country it feels like your proven guilty til your proven innocent but a lot of people are guilty
Ever heard of the Court of public opinion? Obvious explanation
Trump is proven innocent
So the person that is accusing someone of doing a crime is innocent of lying until proven guilty too? Both sides can’t be innocent or guilty and therefore it’s unrealistic.
There have been cases of video making it seem like one side did something wrong while courts take time. Like when three cops knelt on someone’s neck for at least twice as long as it takes to kill someone.
But then there was that kid who went to BLM riots to shoot people. The video footage made him look innocent, it was his social media that suggested his only reason for going was to kill that made people think he was guilty.
😢
Thanks for being non-political and showing both sides
When you pretend both sides being presented are equally worthy of merit , you set up what's known as a false equivalency, which is a very political thing to do.
Trump has been on a public and obvious crime spree for decades. He's a mob boss . Ignoring those concepts and/or claiming The Biden administration is equally guilty of similar crimes is ridiculous and anybody with a functioning brain knows this.
False equivalency
That's what I love about these videos, I guess it's second nature to a lawyer to understand both sides of the argument
@6:14 copyright law does not protect gameplay mechanics! This could mean a big deal for wizards of the Coast and D&D. They recently had third parties legally worried about content creation, as well as streamers. Leading some to want to create their own systems, yet if they could create an open source system with a different name that had the same gameplay mechanics…
I guess cutting down those trees was pretty shameless
I'll see myself out
😂
I have a tree story with our neighbors… we moved into this house about 8 years ago and when we first moved in their were two dead trees in front of our house that had very clearly been dead for a long time. My dad is worried Because If the fall in the wrong direction they will land on our house. Unfortunately he found out that the majority of the trees are on our neighbors property(we only have a few inches on our side) it’s important to not that we have a shared drive way that we share with 3 other people(kinda like a culdasac with one driveway) my dad spent 7 years trimming all the branches that were on our property as well as contacting the neighbor asking him to remove the trees but he did nothing, even though all his neighbors were asking about the trees. Then their was a thunderstorm and the trees fell over to our neighbors house, because we weighted them that way. They were luck the trees got caught on another tree otherwise it would have smashed their house. Then we had people knock on our door asking about the trees and we kept having to say “they aren’t on our property we can’t do anything” 3 days after the fell over they were removed. Was their any legal thing we could do to remove them sooner.
You would need to have called the township and request the them to assess the trees and have the trees deemed a safety hazard. Which would force the neighbor to have them removed promptly to not face fines, or be handed a bill from the city/town after they do it themselves.
After that, all you gotta do is hope, like in your case, that the trees don't fall on to your property and damage anything.
Thanks for both sides, Mike. Lock em all up 🤣
nahhh mike come one, i wanted the last clap before the video ended😭 btw great content, u r so up with the times and still have the formality of an adult, i hope when i get sued, i can hire u as my lawyer

Depending on the maturity and type of pine the trees were, that could be the majority of the 600k. Plenty of trees, especially if very old, cost a LOT of money
IDK Mike, as person who loves trees, I get rather passionate about tree crime. $600,000 seems about right for what Macy did. If you destroy someone's 200 yr old Oak, get ready for some major rage. That tree is literally irreplaceable.
And thats the proper tv news that we need!

Law by Mike talked about trumps case more professionally. Much respect.
the tree cost is hella high, though my guess is they want a speedy resolution so being able to definitely convict for tresspassing is a way to pressure them to settle for the actual amount they wanna win.
I’ve read many stories on Reddit, that people got sued for cutting neighbour’s old trees that were healthy and had to pay for them, it’s been called on Reddit as the “tree tax”
Don’t duck with tree law

FYI trees are expensive if they are old. If they need to be replaced in kind a 40' tall tree is a lot of money, i bet at least 50-100k each.
Trees make or break the feel of the home. Should be a criminal charge.
Dude tree law is extremely costly from what I’ve heard, I’m surprised it wasn’t moee

Can you speak about expungements? Talk about what crimes can be expunged. Which crimes are not permitted to be expunged and how it works for good people who want a second lease on life after they have moved on and stopped making legal mistakes
First here what does the law say about that

Treble damages for trees
I looked at this asking for what laws he's broke. Of course, I can't see any answer once again.
Maybe I'm wrong about this, but I've heard that Tree Law is very lucrative. Destroying someone's tree, is far more expensive than anyone would expect.
And trespassing
If it wasn't a speedy trial you're saying that we wouldn't see the trial until the year 2033?
If it wasn't a speedy trial then he would probably try to say his right to one is violated, I think that was the point he was making. Either around 2024 or it'll be thrown out
Couldn’t they have patented some of the gameplay mechanics?
OK we don’t have enough trees in this world. I think he should fight for those trees.
I feel the party people are liable for the damages that followed. If your going to party or do anything on another property you must do so with due care and in reguard to limiting the risk to property
