Wood is actually quite heat resistant you would need moru heat than that.
There are however many more flammable materials than solid wood.

If you know the toys history, thats the reason for the ban. Using the kit and a bunch of outside materials a kid in I believe a Chicago suburb created a small reactor and irradiated his families whole property which was then condemned for clean up, losing them the house and it also irradiated the whole block as the reactor was just throwing off fallout, It took years supposedly for the hazmats to successfully clean it up and remove the things so irradiated that they themselves were adding to it. I think the dude survived too. He was just a teen at the time.
The two best toy recalls I have ever heard of were A. The paw patrol fire hat that was recalled for being a fire hazard (does anybody else see Marshall shaking his head disapprovingly well muttering you're going to need a ruf ruf rescue when your boss is through with you), and B. The pins labeled "for the children's sake, think toy safety" which were recalled on ground being a choking hazard, the pin to sharp, and the paint toxic.

Lawn darts were the absolute best yard game. They flew long and straight like nothing else.
Imagine a 9" nail with the point end completely rounded, then 4" of it taken and stuck into a 3-4oz weight. Give that assembly a sturdy 6-8" dart tail, and send it downrange!
I had/ have the original lawn darts. They were great fun! I'm not sure where they are now, but im hoping I can find them fir my kids to play with!

the hammock is known as a paraguayan hammock in my country, and every version I've seen here in argentina (country that has a border with paraguay) lacks the spacer thingy. it's almost always just cloth that gets narrow on the ends, but is tied differently since it's portable and can be tied on trees to take naps in the open (clearly a north argentinian/guaraní thing to do)
There are many product testing channels/websites. Mike, your rapid fire (pun intended) product testing is great. We learn about the law from you, and this piece was different but very law oriented, fun too watch, and quite enlightening. Thank you for it.

One thing to consider is how hard it is to use sparks in such small quantities at that temperature to start fires with anything other than hyper-flamable gas, which is why it's my guess that they didn't put warning labels on the barbie toy.

The only time anyone's talked about that particular detail was on the Transformers wiki, because the whole incident prompted Hasbro to get rid of a very similar toy that also sparked. Now when they do anything like that, they keep it absolutely contained in a plastic capsule.

Nerf hobbyist here... aussie nerf hobbyist. It's not all nerf blasters in Australia. It's that a select few can technically be classified as fire arms. Nerf is *considered* a firearm under some aussie legal definitions but it's all in a super grey area. That jolt reskin used in this video is completely legal and heck you can even open carry it. But it gets tricky with stuff like fortnite blasters and definitely the bigger hobby blasters like the milsig m79, worker harrier or bk-1s. Though I completely agree. Nerf in all forms should be completely legal and the joule cap for toy/imitation firearms and nerf should be raised to at least European limits. 70fps don't cut it for stock games anymore.
