I'm a pilot, not a lawyer.
But it was screamingly obvious from the very first sight of the video EXACTLY what was going on.
Im not a pilot (yet) however I like planes and I could tell that it was fake

Love that pilot he was so pilot that he went out of his way to give clear video of himself escaping. Irl you would be lucky to see a out of focus camera getting bad angles and a barrage of sounds before getting broken. Almost like he planned it.

I think people can sue almost over anything over and over...but frivolous lawsuits and certain things could lead those suing into hot water of at least fines. Counterclaims of suing back are a thing too.

I’m not exactly qualified to speak on this issue, since I’ve only started the process of acquiring my private pilots license, but.
The guy who crashed his aircraft not only tampered with evidence, not only caused a plane crash, but also (I don’t know if he can be charged with that) in my opinion committed reckless endangerment. If your aircraft has an engine failure at a high altitude, the things you do are as follows: try to restart the engine, try to land at the nearest suitable airfield, try to ditch at the nearest suitable spot, crash the aircraft controllably to minimise third party damage. As a pilot, when you get into your plane, you accept the fact that if something goes wrong, you may be hurt, a random pedestrian does not. Imagine if the airplane hit a hiker.
For that reason, I genuinely hate this guy, and I hope he goes to jail and gets his license permanently revoked.

Fantastic that the child was found. But if Netflix is trying to look also concerned about children being found and things like that, then they should make that part of their channel free. But they're just doing it for the money. Which kind of takes away from the kudos.
As well as lying to the fed charges is the guy who let the plane crash liable for some kind of endangerment to life / negligence / recklessness charges too?
If I had to guess probably something along the lines of endangering wild life because if the plane caught fire it could start a wild fire

There was also the case of a survivalist who has been charged in Camada because he was unlawfully occupying park land, and a RUclipsr i know of has gotten in trouble for posting videos showing herself picking at tge local dump, which is both illegal and unsafe.
And as someone else noted, those parents who low key abuse their kids on camera for likes are pathetic excuses for human beings.

What I fine scary about Trevor Jacob’s is that I looked at the place he crashed his plane on Google Earth. There is a town no more that 1 mile away from where he crashed.

Make sure to record the encounter using a hidden camera. Most states are one-party consent states, but check your state laws just to be sure.
If you tried to battle her in a court of law with no solid proof that she actually said the things she said, you would probably lose the case.

Well, that pilot wasnt too smart. If he didnt film it and took steps to prep the plain to have a legitimate failure (such as stuck fuel gauge, and ran it with just enough fuel to stall out in the area he planned on jumping) he could have walked away with out a criminal case. But he didnt, and im glad he got caught.
Maybe the plaintiff got paid, maybe he and his family got seriously threatened. We'll likely never know.

Those planes back then weren't built with radio from the factory. He could've added it himself but it's possible it wasn't equipped with radio. Also, Harrison Ford has a few pretty major mishaps on his own pilot record lol
If you consider trying to destroy a car for views try using tannerite because it’s fun but be careful. You don’t want to be like the dude that blew his legs off when he blew up a lawnmower.

I'm not a lawyer, but they would probably need to request an extradition from the other country.
