Thank you. I really appreciate your comment. WhennIn do a tour my goal is always to ask the questions I believe my viewers would want to ask if they were there in oerson looking at the vehicle and speaking to the owne or builder. Many of my tours are spur of the moment and cases in which I have just met the owner and have never seen the vehicle before. So, I sometimes miss something. Glad this one answered all your questions. I also try to bring content that has real value and informs or provides something viewers can use. Once in awhile I will depart a bit like with the goat video for fun, but generally I like to provide content at least some of the viewers can apply to their own circumstances.
Yes! G.L.O.W. found me about 2 weeks ago as my last little birdie flew the nest and I started looking at options for my lone lifestyle. My OCD would not let me watch the videos out of order, so I started back at the oldest and now, April 9th 2024, I'm here😊 Call me weird, call me nuts, but one of my most favorite parts is finding out all of the options for indoor restrooms! It's not like it's put out on display, and there are "sample results" to comment on, just plain, simple, what everybody does and takes for granted. I'm also following a single nomad vanlifer who actually videoed no less than 4 restrooms to show why a portable option was more appealing than the public options. I especially like the no build builds for vans & cars. Carol is kind, intelligent, not condescending in any way whatsoever, peaceful and relevant! As a mid-50s single, looking for options as I reach retirement so that I will have some sort of retirement, I look forward to her interviews. As we've traveled throughout the past few years, we have also been highly disappointed with the hotels that we have stayed in. Even the "immaculate" Airbnb options had me cleaning up what they missed. My stick vac should not pick up crumbs and pet hair if they had just vacuumed before we got there 🙄 Anyway, I look forward to putting the videos on as I take my daily walk around my school between classes. I'm doing the best I can to make my health incentive dollars stretch and to keep these bones in working order. Welcome fellow G.L.O.W.bie!🎉🚗☁️
I love the toilet concept. Did you notice that she immediately puts things back after she showed each one. Wish we could have seen her dogs. I also see the value of the carpet on the walls. Thanks Carol for the this video.
@@mazecentric4124 So you put roughly 10k a year on it. I have a 2014 Transit Connect with roughly same mileage as you. Got it used some years ago and immediately had some transmission issues and other things breaking. I changed the transmission fluid to hopefully preserve it longer. How is your transmission if you don't mind me asking? Ever changed the fluid?
I know others have done it successfully, but I just can't picture that small a van working for anything other than weekend camping trips or vacations. Us good looking fat guys need more room if we're gonna live in a van. :)
That is primarily what they use it for. However, I do know some folks who live fulltime in thr Promaster City and a larger individual who lives in the little Nissan cargo van. I imagine thought that they spend a lot of time outside the van.
From what I've observed, most of these micro builds are intended as a sort of base camp for festivals, weekend adventures, or overnight layovers, with passenger car drivability, spontaneity, stealth, and fuel economy. If petite solo travelers are able to leverage that to their advantage, good for them. Hotels are a hassle all around, especially with a dog.
Your abode is wondrous! All that one might wish for - simplicity, accessibility, dog and human user-friendly. Utterly inviting...with such cheery green-colored carpet! Splendidly-done.:)

Nice Connect! Would love to know where she got the step stool that goes over the Airnex composter. I looked but wasn't able to find one like it. Thanks, Carol!
Amazing use of space...so well thought out! Please provide the link for the folding step stool with the hinged solid top? Have looked online with no success. Thank you.

I bought one of those vans it was a 2012. I was going to do this I was supposed to have help because I’m disabled but I couldn’t depend on anybody. I sold it that was so disappointing. I don’t make plans anymore.
Maybe this will encourage you to reconsider. When I bought my van I had a meeting with a person who agreed to build out my van. They put me off for 3 months with various excuses, as I waited for them to do the build, eventually telling me that they couldn't help me as they needed to help someone else. The second person who agreed to help me was even worse claiming after a few months that they hadn't actually agreed to help me. Then they called and said they would with ridiculous conditions. I was so disgusted by this time. I continued to reach out to people, some good some flakes and finally got my van built out, 20 months after buying it. I used it in the meantime with a make shift set up. But never gave up and now have a van I love!

Pretty cool set up. Those little Ford Connect's are very popular.
They are indeed and with good reason given their gas.mileage.
The van is nice but the calming voice in the beginning is just beautiful 😍
Cozy and cute, but I would consider sharing such a small place with more than one pet. 😉
I know what you mean, but it seems to work for them.
I like that fake turf she used on the front floorboard. I drive barefoot in summer, so that might actually be pretty nice for my rig.
