One of the best conversion's I've seen on RUclips for a small van. Well done. Maybe you should think about making your pull out seat as a side product to sell. Good luck in your adventures 🤗
Your porthole is leaking because you installed it with the drainage hole oriented at 10 o'clock instead of at the bottom. A better porthole won't fix the problem if don't install it correctly.
I love your build! It’s amazing how much you’ve built into your Transit Connect! It’s organized and neat! Great work! I’d love for you to build me a van ☺️🙌🏾
Im in the process of buying a Ford Transit Connect, this is by far one of my favorite builds, loving the bench at the end. Would love to see how you hooked up the hot water heater. Thanks for sharing this with us.
Amazing build and great use of space! Love all the personal touches like the rock climbing theme, the color scheme, the patch quilt curtain and of course the hidden bench. You've definitely made it your own... And 2K was actually very inexpensive for such a beautiful build! Great job, so impressive... Happy travels!!
Some wonderful ideas, and I appreciate your polite, friendly manner. No bragging, and your joy in your accomplishment is genuine, & well deserved. God bless you!
This is inspiring! Still in planning stages, looking for all the "best" ideas and you have a lot! Lots of storage, and it all looks do-able and not over-the-top. Kudos on your sewing skills too.
You did an outstanding job. I was scoping out these smaller vans as I just found the big ones too expensive to buy and remodel. Now I'm convinced its doable. They now make the small propane tanks in fillable version so that you can work off a 20# at home. I always hated throwing away those small tanks. It seemed like such a waste. You need to show off your dog more!.
Your van design is my favorite thus far. The kitchen backsplash looks amazing. I love the orange color of the cushions. I will take a few pages off your book for my build. Thanks for sharing the time lapse video as well.
I love your van build, I was quite surprised when you opened the door and saw how cozy it looked inside. I think it’s so thoughtfully designed. Simple, practical but a wonderful little home on the road.
Wow! Just wow. Splendid, ingenious and creative build. Hearing what you'd do different is helpful too. But it's excellent the way it is! Happy travels and climbing (lots of bouldering in NM, check out Box Canyon) 😃
Some really great tips - the bug screens with magnets are brilliant. I love the coloured LED lights too. Great designs for the outdoor bench is ingenious. Dog is adorable too!
I just came across your vid and I’m so impressed how Beautiful you built your Van out. I’m considering on getting into the van life I’m much older, but feel this is a calling. I would love and wish you can build my little van out. Congratulations it’s absolutely beautiful what a great job!
I love this build. You made it exactly for what you needed and incorporated so many great design elements from the beetle board to the rock climbing pulls. Incredibly thoughtful. You and your Dad must’ve enjoyed working on this project. And most of lol I just love your dog! Adorable sitting in the front seat waiting for the next adventure! Best of luck to you! 😀
Hello 😏 I have been waiting for this tour video... its really nice setup.. the other video was kinda fast but this really explains how everything works... I have a E 350 that I am working on hopefully I'll be able to do a van tour sometime.. thanks for sharing ✌😎👍
This has to be the best build I've seen and I've watched many. You did a wonderful job and it's nicer than a professional build because they wouldn't have put all the personal touches you have nor that much storage ❤ You should be very proud ❤
2010 Ford Transit Connect: 167.1 cubic feet of cargo 2000 Chevy Astro: 171.3 cubic feet of cargo Your build would've worked perfectly in my Chevy. I'm happy overall but I wish I saw this build first.
I just love how you have managed to use every single bit of space and used less expensive items like the salad bowl for your sink was brilliant.I also loved the way the couch platform slide out to make a large bed with the cushions. I think you should really consider designing Van's for other people because it is not only so well done but you have packed a ton of storage in the van that is useful. Thanks for the tour of your van. You are so organized. I have subscribed to your channel.
I’m 72 and used to camp in a used Sportsmobile. I crossed paths at Zion NP with a photographer who used her Ford Transit van to camp simply. I thought, I wonder if anyone has ever done a camper conversion for one of those. Obviously, yes. Your end product is incredible!
This is one of the best builds I’ve seen in a Transit Connect. I agree having drawers under the bed would be easier to access. I am interested in your auxiliary battery set up & how u have the electrical equipment set up. Also your water setup is great. I would def need a portable potty. I would cover it & use as extra seat or footstool. Maybe could put it on front seat during day. Your pooch is adorable. Happy travels, Mo in NJ
This is an amazing build, Austin! I just bought the a 2012 Ford Transit Connect XLT yesterday and started stripping it down this AM-any chance you have measurements you can share for the floor you built, bed, etc? I'd be happy to toss some $ to a patreon or whatever else for the help!
Just wipe the window down with soapy water and add a bead of silicone to prevent it from leaking. Or cut out a bigger hole for a larger window. Shouldn't be too difficult. Cool idea on the divider. Nice, quality build. I really enjoy the aesthetics, which is saying a lot for a weirdo like me. I like the look of the inside. The stuff in back of your drawers you can put in a basket, or use some flat panel with a piece of board on the back to pull things forward.
Great video. Beautiful little van. I think your porthole may be installed sideways. It should open upwards with the little cutout at the bottom to drain any water accumulation. We almost had the same problem. 🐻 👍
Wow, I want my 2012 like that. Talent! You did a great job. I want to travel in my van, I just bought it, very very low miles for a 9 y/o van. Can't wait to do it. My nephew and his dad are going to convert it for me. I lost my husband in 2019 and time to live again.
Be glad it's so small and economical especially with gas prices going crazy right now! Cool build! I would hate to have a black vehicle in the summer however!
you've got a great practical van considering the size. The net for the door that keeps the bugs out is the coolest cos is light and easy to fix and not bulkly that is so clever. Also the bed is so neat s you do have tons of storage. You even have a shower but are you sure you will it will not wet our bed!!!. Good design and that pull out chair was great except why have a dog that takes so much space...sorry I am not an animal lover so I don't quite understand.
Incredible build!! So beautiful. Quick question, I am currently adding electrical to my transit connect.. where/how did you connect the second battery to the car battery? was it through the floor or how did you do this? haha thank you!!
Definately one of the best of not the best the van conversion, love the back seat pull out, brilliant and the beetle pine is beautiful. Great job and fab dog
Such a great build! I too appreciated when you mentioned what you would have done differently. However, if you changed nothing on this van it is a terrific build, and fantastic on cost too! Don't know if this is helpful at all, but you mentioned making the under bed area more easily accessible in the future with drawers...I saw another slatted pull-out bed option where the whole slatted section was hinged and lifted up to be able to access all the under-bed area at once. It might also be nice to have a secret long "tray" area the length of the bed just above the future drawers where you could store something long, like a surfboard, hiking poles, or whatever. I am curious to know if you have designed a little circular window mesh for your porthole window to keep bugs out? I wonder if that might do double duty and help keep snow out too...that is, if the mesh were running even with the outside of the van. The pull-out seat in the back is GENIUS!!! I watched both of your van build videos, and this is by far one of the most unique features of your van. Please do post an update on your RUclips channel if in the future you decide to make and sell this for other vans. Judging by the number of views on your video, I suspect you would have a LOT of interest. Best of luck to you on your travels in this wonderful rig, and thanks again for sharing the results of your hard work. - Alis
I’ve just got a 2017 connect to convert and I’m looking for inspiration and ideas. This is an amazing build, very well thought out and really well executed. Top work!
Hey Austin! Don’t know if you remember but we ran together a handful of times in Flag. I was the slow guy with a big ego haha. Glad to see you’re doing well. Love the build!
Here is the time lapse video I made of myself while building out this van: ruclips.net/video/-37iGq3nasE/видео.html
Did I miss a portal potty?
Really great build. Hope you post more about your adventures!
Amazing build! Do you have a video of the bench build?
this is honestly one of the most thoughtful tiny van builds I've seen! Amazing work bud!
Totally agree, I forgot I was watching a tiny van build,so versatile
One of the best conversion's I've seen on RUclips for a small van. Well done. Maybe you should think about making your pull out seat as a side product to sell. Good luck in your adventures 🤗
I was *not* ready for that couch in the back!
@@MarcillaSmith Ikr!
I am pretty sure lots of people would buy one
I would buy it.

Your porthole is leaking because you installed it with the drainage hole oriented at 10 o'clock instead of at the bottom. A better porthole won't fix the problem if don't install it correctly.
Yeah I see it. It is a simple mistake that he hasn't noticed yet. He needs to undo it and reinstall it
I love your build! It’s amazing how much you’ve built into your Transit Connect! It’s organized and neat! Great work! I’d love for you to build me a van ☺️🙌🏾
Gorgeous counter top. I like how he tells us what he would do differently.
One of the best builds I have seen, Austin! Thank you for sharing. 🎉🎉
Im in the process of buying a Ford Transit Connect, this is by far one of my favorite builds, loving the bench at the end. Would love to see how you hooked up the hot water heater. Thanks for sharing this with us.
Mind the space you get with the connects unless you're buying the xlt versions
I love seeing other Transit Connect builds. This one is really great!
Amazing build and great use of space! Love all the personal touches like the rock climbing theme, the color scheme, the patch quilt curtain and of course the hidden bench. Oh wow what a fantastic build! We transit connect vanlifers really need to have a rendezvous once covid is done.
Sweetie, that's about one of the best tiny van transformation I've e ever seen. Congratulations 👏
You did an outstanding job. I was scoping out these smaller vans as I just found the big ones too expensive to buy and remodel. Now I'm convinced its doable. So many thoughtful features in this build make it incredibly functional. I love it. Thank you for sharing your genius with the world!
This person said it perfectly❤
holy cow! So much thought, purpose, and intention into this build!!!!
Your van design is my favorite thus far. The kitchen backsplash looks amazing. I love the orange color of the cushions. I will take a few pages off your book for my build. Thanks for sharing the time lapse video as well.
This is amazing. Lots of great ideas that make the best of a tiny space, and it looks really aesthetically pleasing at the same time. Great job!
I love your van build, I was quite surprised when you opened the door and saw how cozy it looked inside. I think it’s so thoughtfully designed. Simple, practical but a wonderful little home on the road.

The puppy dog is a cutie.
Glad I found this. It is the BEST transit conversion by far. Well 👍 done.
I love your ideas, it will save my money to build a van life, thank you for sharing
Amazing job dude! Everything needed, very compact and easy to park. Well designed too!
Some really great tips - the bug screens with magnets are brilliant. I love the coloured LED lights too. Great designs for the outdoor bench is ingenious. Dog is adorable too!
Good job on the video. I'm doing one like yours, also taking a year to complete as I have to budget out the expenses.

Really enjoyed your build! Great video and your comments were helpful. I definitely got some inspiration from it!
Smart idea using the window screen material. Brilliant back door custom bench seat!!
That secret bench is definitely a great design - superbe use of the lost space between the van and the raised floor.
Nice build, looks homey. 😊👍
Awesome job Austin, greets from Germany 🇩🇪
Love this van
It has everything you need to live comfortably
Very homey and efficient! Thank you.
By far ... The best Transit Connect conversion yet viewed. Thx4sharing.

Ingenious use of space. You must rock at tetris! Thanks for sharing.
I love this van build! Very well thought out

It’s clear that you put a lot of thought into the design - beautifully done.
Really good work. I'm totally impressed.

Only one word to describe what you did....Awesome.
Interesting build! My favorites were the rear bench and shower setup, very creative!
Nice! Great, affordable screen tip!
Great job. Love that hidden-beneath-the-floor slide out seat!! Awesome little van conversion. You should be proud!
Hands down one of the best tiny van builds I've seen and I've seen A LOT! If you ever decide to sell, give me a shout :)
Fantastic small camper!!! Great job!!!
Wow you’ve packed so much style and utility into such a small space, great job.
Just wipe the window down with soapy water and add a bead of silicone to prevent it from leaking. Or cut out a bigger hole for a larger window. Shouldn't be too difficult.

Your build is just perfect- I've been curious about what could be done with a Transit Connect. Really a good video too, my compliments!
Great video. Beautiful little van. I think your porthole may be installed sideways. It should open upwards with the little cutout at the bottom to drain any water accumulation. We almost had the same problem. 🐻 👍
Please don't ever try to start your car using the aux battery 🥵
Your wiring is way undersized for the 150Amp breaker you have in there
One of the best I have seen! I may use some of these ideas to incorporate into a pop up camper shell build. Thank you.
Forgot to mention the curtain you sew the patches to is really a neat idea. And quite eye catching too. Good conversation piece!
❤️💜💚
Love, love, love it. I’ve been watching dozens of these builds and yours by far is the best. It’s ingenious, functional and attractive. Super job!!!

get the MAXX air fan, they have terrific reviews.
Great layout, and extremely thoughtful buildout. I hope to see more about your travels and adventures. Always, Syn Silver.
Absolutely beautiful blend of style and function! Nicely done!
Lovely build - best wishes for your adventures.
Wow! Really a thoughtful build! Thank you for sharing... 🥰🥰🥰
The round window I guess was placed on reverse.the outside part should be inside 🤷♀️💓
Dope. My van build is underway and this is motivation. What type of battery did you go with? Thanks ✌️
Thanks! It’s a Universal Power Group 100Ah deep cycle battery that I got on amazon
Nice and simple, I love the Beatle wood design with the port window💙Love the outside seat you made, good job 💙
One of the best small ones I’ve seen! Great job.
Well thought out 👍 Some ergonomic issues, but you'll fix 'em. Love the rumble seat 😎
Definately one of the best of not the best the van conversion, love the back seat pull out, brilliant and the beetle pine is beautiful. Great job and fab dog
Great Job thanks for sharing thumbs up from England
You, sir, are a genius!

You're genius! I love all the details you did. You have a great taste. I love it.
I’ve just got a 2017 connect to convert and I’m looking for inspiration and ideas. This is an amazing build, very well thought out and really well executed. Top work!
Fantastic build! Happy Travels😁
A great build, I really like it! Great use of the limited space you have.
Great layout..Love the bench..!!
There is no way you spent only 2k!!!! You are amazing
This is awesome! Great build and very detailed! Thank you for sharing!
Wow, that looks great for a little van! But is your pup half Heeler? 🚐🐶❤️
Heeler and German Shorthaired pointer mix!
the best van conversion ever!!
Great job and everything is so well thought out. Perfect way to travel. Less is more :)
Wow! You made an amazing little travel home! It’s lovely
Hey Austin! Don’t know if you remember but we ran together a handful of times in Flag. I was the slow guy with a big ego haha.
Glad to see you’re doing well. Love the build!
Thanks man! Yeah I definitely remember those runs with you. I thought I killed you in the Grand Canyon that one time haha
Hope you’re doing well!
