Van Tour: Most Beautifully Crafted Minivan Camper I've EVER Seen

- Given as many vans, rvs, campers and other beautiful rigs I have personally toured it takes a lot to impress me at this point. So, when I say this little minivan conversion is probably the most beautifully crafted minivan I have ever seen that is saying something The creative builder of this little tiny house on wheels has thought of everything. From a screen door to keep bugs out and the dog in, to framed sliding window covers. He even broke down a butane stove and used parts from it to create the built in stove in this rolling masterpiece. Who thinks like that???

Thank you for such a fun interview, Carol! You did an amazing editing job! I should have clarified, I said, I had been living in RVs for decades. That is true, but intermittently. I’ve also been living in sticks and bricks intermittently. This little GMC Safari rig is called GiGi. She is by far my favorite. ❤️

The rolling stool could work as a toilet for anyone who has a problem using the little pee thingy. I love this. I’d pay someone to build this!

Carol I met her in the parking lot my first day and took a picture of her door. The door handle is her grandmother's thread spool. Love this.

WOW! This is, by far, the BEST minivan convertion. There is so much room for her to move around in. It is so functional. It's excellent! I hope her husband is building out minivans for people. His work is genius and priceless. Brilliantly done!!!!!

I love how she has it set up so she can use the stool to do just about anything. I'd need back support on my stool, because of my back, but that's just so genius! I remember when not many people were in minivans, but now I see more and more of them, and people are so creative with creating a great environment in them.
@FreeForLife yes I love how she got the stool instead of her walking back and fourth. Hope you get a stool for your back support. Some people live in either houses or mini vans. Those vans inside due to their DIYs are so creative. God bless u and feel better
There are indeed more and more folks coming up with such creative ways to be comfortable in smaller and smaller spaces.
It's the gas mileage, the stealth, the fitting into any parking. I have the same GMC Safari van. They're good on gas for the size and are powerful.

Beautiful. Her husband must be a master carpenter to be able to build shoji screen window inserts, scribe wood to fit the van contours perfectly, select gorgeous trim of what looks like cherry. This build is akin to having a very high end house or piece of furniture, I love that it is in such a humble vehicle.

@Paivaperho she has a watering can for bathroom break for privacy instead of having to make stops for gas station bathrooms that way she’ll have enough van gas
I thought I had the perfect floor plan design for my minivan. Peggy's design has blown me away!!! Back to the drawing board I go. I'll definitely be adding in the sliding window covers and the screen door!! Who needs to stand when everything is at arms reach. Peggy's van build is my #1 🏆of my top five (minivan conversions). I just bought a Chrysler Pacifica, and can’t wait to build her out. I’m not sure I want to make a permanent build, so for now something removable will suit me, but videos like this really get my creative juices flowing. What a masterpiece indeed. I’ll certainly consider emulating parts of this!

I saw this van at the RTR. It truly is amazing. I love this interview and tour. It was so much more informative than taking a quick look in a crowd. I wish I knew someone with that kind of talent to build my van out. The back window sliders and screen door are what I think I like the most. I love a bit of bling so the drawer knobs are awesome too!

However, hubs saw it as a challenge - he redid every room in the house. Unfortunately his life ended at 59yrs old by incurable cancer. Since then, I've been floating in the wind trying to figure out my future. Thanks for your concern & kindness! 💕

This is the nicest done van I've seen as well. Nice and simple. Great 1 burner design, also amazing backsplash.
The window covers are great, no need to store anything extra, nice and stealth. Hopefully he will be available to help others with their builds. I just came from an RV show, which they're nice( sometimes too many windows and extras). So much better having something designed with just what one needs, plus I like older I believe they're built better. 😊🌍🙏 very nice owner too. Thank you again Carol.

Despite all the bells and whistles in some of the factory builds out there it really is hard to beat a build that is done to one's exact needs and wants woth all the special touches that make it yours.

@@alexthehomboi yeah but she's often in AZ zero beach there unless it's a lake OR if you walk around Yuma, near some sandy areas by canals... u will actually see tiny shiny shells in the sand from a time there was lots of water....the native folks took these bits of shells and traded; made precious jewelries...❤
