When we had a drought,we had every 48 hours water .on and then 48 off. I got so tired of spending so much water cleaning the toilet that i cleaned it and stopped using the toilet. I had a shower and had my tall sturdy rubbermaid trashcan full of clean water inside the stall.that turned out fine. But doing #2 i used a round medium sized trashcan with disposable bags and ,surprisingly it turned out great. No more stinky ,dirty toilet ,wasting good water to wash it down. So ,what ever works for you i applaud.

I also bought a latex topper, good for back issues, for my home bed and guest bed, It is so comfy. I love to see elders doing things like this, i just turned 80 in October and working on outfitting my C-RV for camping. This spring i will be testing it out near here, so if i miscalculate i don’t have far to go to for replacements. I have my basic camp gear as an old tent camper, but thinking of a butane/ propane one burner, last time i camped it was just too wet to cook decently on the wood i could get. It won’t be a fancy outfit, just cot bins and bucket toilet, as well as a one burner, just in case of wet wood. I live in the upper mid west, and i plan to test this when it is still cold, i am not a fan of hot weather, so early and late season camping has always been my favorite.

You demonstrate there are ways to conserve if we are really intentional
Kate is full of energy and so is her van build. Age is just a number but the spirit of adventurous mind is unmeasurable. Love how simple her build is but still have have everything needed for her adventure!🥰😍😎👍
Carol?
Kate is reading the comments and I know she will appreciate yours.

Thank you Carolyn🥰
What a sweet woman. I especially like how her van is very roomy and requires little solar power. Her van home is low cost maintenance for being a pro master. Not a lot of bells and whistles but the important essentials and it still feels homey.
This is a very nice build. Love the window vents. It’s perfect but looking forward to seeing the updates.
Me.too!!
Wow! What a dream build. I love it. Carol made her home so beautiful. I wish her safe travels always, and many more years to enjoy her chosen lifestyle.
What an outstanding build and the fact she did most of it is amazing 👏

Van Life is the best option for people 20 years to 80 year's of age. I worry for her safety..but she seems pretty tough... As women we are survivor's and Leaders in Society.
So happy to hear that this video is an inspiration.
@@gigigiseleworld Van Life is the best option for people 20 years to 80 years of age How is it the best option? I can see where it would be better than sleeping in a doorway. So, everyone should sell their house and go live in a van?
@@rcas350pilot8 "During Covid 19 many people across the country from 2020-2021 had to make difficult decisions. Any person who is a home owner has many options to save their home from Foreclosure. They can rent the house out, with a huge deposit"??. They could also rent rooms and also pick up a second job". Apartment renters who fear eviction could rent their rooms out for 25.00-30.00 per day". Again if those aren't the best options..then a car, truck, van,RV, and a remodeled city bus, school bus ,Fed Ex truck can be an option ". I enjoy hearing about these people's adventures.. Honestly in 2023 rent's in many states have leaped from 1300-5k per month. Many people fear Eviction... If any of these people are going to do Van-life". I hope that they have a full-time job, bank account, credit card, knowledge of their vehicle and have a long-term goal. Many people I have seen on RUclips, that share their lives.. Are enjoying their lives. Yes owning a home gives a person equity and.. a stable residence. Except everyone who engages in that adventure...that is up to them. Many can't afford to pay Rent's..the Ladies and Gentlemen who are on Social Security. While many work online, also some of them.. have created income streams..that they wouldn't have been able to do..had they remained stuck to an apartment lease and house payment. I say let these people live... 💐🙏
@@gigigiseleworld I think you are grossly over simplifying things. Anyhow I wish everyone well and stay safe.
Yes❣️ What an amazing lady! Anytime I question when I'm getting started in my journey, along comes an interview and tour like this from you, GLOW. I'm so grateful for your channel.
Thank.you for your kind words that encourage me too!!
Wow, Kate's van looks bigger than any other van build in this style and size that I've seen!
Very nice. She should be very proud of her work.
She seems like a wonderful lady too!
Very nice! 😍
Thank you ladies for the oh so impressive tour. ♡
This lady just like me she has built that van as I do and she has a base to go back to if she feels like it as I do I personally love it that way this way is to have a base so I Best of Both Worlds she has Best of Both Worlds rather than just leaving it active and full-time and have nowhere else to go and get the van breaks down or somewhere you have a place to go..
I so enjoyed Kate's video. She is a can do woman. She must be quite the worker! Hope to meet her too. Thanks Carol .

I know a lot of people younger than her who act so much older than her. May we all be inspired by her 🥰💐🌹🪷🌸🌼💗✝💖
Thanks for the tour Kate.
This is one of the best built I've seen
And she did it herself!!
Lot's of blessings for you!
Kate, Thank you for sharing your story and ideas. I am sure you have plenty of life experiences to share. You already provided ma an idea that I will most likely use. Goodbye to a courageous and inspirational lady.....
This looks beautiful. She gives me the inspiration at 54.God bless her.
Holy cow! What an amazing build. Keep yourself in great shape and healthy and you can keep going like this Beautiful lady. You go girl. I love it.
Great job Kate. You have a beautiful home
I've been wondering if I could do something like this. Oh man do I ever have a bad case of wanderlust!
This is so amazing! She has such a comfortable, cozy and very homey place to live! Great job…. Such an inspiration!! ❤
Stunning build! Thanks for the tip on the air vents.
I love what you've done. I'm about to embark on a similar path at 67. Can't wait!
Hope you visit Missouri
Congratulations 🥳
That was beautiful! She is living the life.
I am completely amazed by Kate. Her build is beautiful, functional, efficient and cute. I would like to see how she had all her drawers and cubbies organized. It seemed that there was a lot more to see and know about this wonderful lady and her van. I'd love to see more and hear about Kate's life and how she made the decisions that she did. Thank you so much for sharing. I found this video fascinating and very enjoyable. God bless you.
Next time, hopefully after she has been reunited with Ginger, we will do an update.
Kate, you are so cute and a total inspiration! May all your travels be blessed. 🩷
What an absolutely gorgeous build but more than that what an absolutely gorgeous example this woman is to us all! Thank you both for sharing! Hope to meet you soon, Carol as I’m here in Quartzsite too!

Kate; you are an inspiration; I will take van conversion route for myself. God Bless, Thank you for sharing.
Love this van build. It is beautiful and also practical. I am so admiring of someone going on 80 who lives life to the fullest.
WOW ! I'm 79 too ! Actually working on my 8th decade here on Earth since 12/18/2022.
Really do want to find "my" van soon & be on the road . To visit a dear Cousin too many miles away to drive in one day. Don't want to try sleeping in my 2008 Toyota Solara Convertible altho I love driving it !!
Kate has given me hope that I CAN DO THIS soon !
I've tent camped lots & lived & traveled in a 25 ft 5th wheel when married. I loved our little cabin on wheels ! Never was brave enough to drive the truck pulling it tho !
Please send good vibes ! For courage to DO this in 2023 ! Blessings Kate & Carol 💕 🤗
Sending massive good vibes!!!
I’m almost 71….I love this lady! And I could use her bathroom setup! Don’t think I’d have an issue with it at all. I’m so proud of her! She’s amazing! Love her van! Bless her!
