Definitely do "Dark Side of the Moon" album beginning to end. Life changing! One of the biggest selling albums of all time. You should know that all the songs flow into each other so you can't just do one track at a time, think more like a side at a time.
Before leaving this album however you might want to consider doing "Wish You Were Here" the title track. Talk about emotions! (avoid the lame fan video that comes up in the search).

Gave me goose Bumbs. Pink is the band that u should do full albums to. That’s how they put their albums together. Most will say Dark Side. Was on the top 200 charts for over 18yrs if my memory serves me correct? Pick a song u can’t go wrong. As us old heads say, do it “young blood”!!!

Love your appreciation for Pink Floyd!
Recommendation: For each PF song, listen to the studio version (with headphones) first before listening to concert versions or videos. The studio version contains nuances and details that often get lost or obscured in the live and video versions. You’ll enjoy those other versions even more after you hear the original.

1-5 is the intro of the book/album. part 6-9 is the ending of the book/album. Don’t forget there are many more chapters/ songs in between these 2 masterpieces Probably best to do their 4 major newby accessible albums in order starting with Dark Side, Wish,Animals, Wall. Pretty much try to stay away from Animals until you are familiar with their mindset and how they work a album, Animals is a emotional monster

Hopefully it might inspire the likes of those to make some interesting music, a fusion of the old and new styles. Dark Side of the Moon was built to be listened to from beginning to end in one sitting. It's also one of the top five best-selling and most influential albums of all time. Their next 3 albums were also meant to be "concept" albums where the songs are strung together to tell a bigger story, but DSOTM is the undisputed king of concept albums. It's the obvious choice for a full album reaction.

No one writes or performs Head music like Pink Floyd, no one,...
Try their Epic "Dark Side of the Moon" album from 1973, or their "Animals" album from 1977. Both are iconic albums. "Dark Side of the Moon" is one of the best-selling albums of all time, it has sold over 50 million copies!
The album also has the record for most weeks on the Billboards Top 100 Albums of all Time list, at 962 weeks, that's over 18 years on the list!
If you want to do some of their live shows, that's where a big part of their magic is, live concerts. A very well documented concert of theirs on RUclips is the Pulse Concert at Earls Court in London in 1994.
Yes, they are older in 94, in their early 50s, and there are only 3 actual Pink Floyd members at this point of their careers,... they do not disappoint at any level. They are master musicians of Progressive Rock.

So glad you appreciate this classic music! Truly talented musicians! Shine On You Crazy Diamond is a awesome tribute to the band's founder Syd Barrett. His first name is intentionally within the song title (first letters). Syd was replaced by David Gilmour after the effect the acid trips were having on him. The lyrics speak to this as well. During recording of the album, Syd mysteriously showed up at the recording studio during recording of the Wish You Were Here album. Wish You Were Here title refers to Syd as well. RIP Syd!

By the time this album came out in 1975, The Floyd had reached the top of their profession. The three songs that split Shine On are a commentary on the music business. For Syd Barrett, he and the music business were like oil and water and he did not like being tied the machinery of the business side of music. The third song of this triad, Wish You Were Here, speaks to Syd but it also speaks to everyone else. Overcoming the machine; being successful in the music business can be achieved.
The overall theme of the album is absence. And though the conventional wisdom is that Syd took too many drugs and went crazy, this album argues that Syd didn't want to be a part of the machine. In essence, Shine You Diamond (SYD) was split from the band by the machine. But cracks were starting to form in the band as well. With the blockbuster success of Dark Side, by this point the band had started to grow apart. Absence was something that was bigger than just Syd.

In the old days we had to flip the record over.
Although 8-track players were pretty trick at the time.
The Pink Floyd band since their beginning in 1967.
I would suggest the animals LP.
It may have a message for today as well.
And should you decide to do the wall you must watch as well. The animation within the movie is trippy.
Much of the movie was showing on their screen behind them when they performed the Wall concert they also built the wall throughout the concert before tearing it down at the end.
Their shows were always over the top.
From lasers to props like flying pigs.
They played two concerts back to back in Arizona in the '80s.
The second night they were made to turn the music down the first night they could hear it inside Sky Harbor. Lol
Sorry the memories of a man in his old age are the Deeds of a man and his prime.

Lil J I never cared much about the rapper scene itself. But the way you talk about my favorite bands... Wow love it man! I've got some tips for you as well, since you like good music and love great lyrics. Check out the old marillion with Fish as the lead singer. Wonder what you think about that... For some starters...Tux on, cinderella's day, He knows you know... End with Grendel! It's epic! Otherwise, keep up the great work, take a hit and listen... (Brings back memories...lol) Cheers!

Saw Roger Waters perform this section of this song a few months back. Saw him in Tacoma and Portland. My 17 year old (never been) said those 2 nights were the best nights of her life.

I've never listened to this with a dog nearby, but I'd like to do that. I've always suspected that David further raised the guitar several octaves higher, but then it became ultrasonic and you can't hear it!
