I love how you cover everything. Keep up this template for laptop reviews
Thank you for the nice review. You mentioned there's not much screen wobble when typing, but there's noticeable wobble to me on your demo at 11:15.
Andrew, you are doing good cranking out these reviews. I like the pros and cons section and the score near the end.
Thanks, really appreciate it!!
yea, he is one of the best, concrete, brief and precise and always mentioning the prices, thing that other seldom remember, as if most of us would be millionaires !
Hi from Australia! Mine's getting delivered today! Can't wait. Got the i5 version.
The pricing for this years ZenBook lineup seems all over the place. The regular 14 OLED with a i7 1360p is going for $1100, which would make it way over priced compared to this one, and the 14 Flip with an i5 1340p starts at $1000, which would also make it overpriced compared to this.
This 14x seems like it's going to be the best one too choose out of all of them cause it basically gives you what you need for a great price.
very true lamo. This is my first decent laptop. Had an old 2013 MacBook for the longest time. I only got this one because it was like half off and the MacBook couldn't handle what I was using it for. Honestly so far I'd say if you have the dinero it's a solid laptop. haven't had it for all too long, but I mainly use it for FL studio, and blender atm. hasn't yet crashed, except for when I got tons of stuff in Fl going on the sound will cut out on me. but just gotta save and reload the program. side note, hope you're doing well these days.
As always, good job!
I’ve seen enough of these excellent reviews. New viewer. Subscribed.
Great review! Your review on the Asus Zenbook 14X OLED was timely and concise. Was looking for a laptop to replace my 12 year old Toshiba Qosmio 17" and just not finding the right one till I broaden my search. Was looking at Microsoft Surface 5 laptop but expensive and lack of ports irked. Same goes with Dell XPS 13 with just two Thunderbolt ports and no headphone jack. Then saw Asus Zenbook range and did more research. Was in between the Zenbook 13 S OLED, Zenbook Flip OLED and this one. Ended up with Zenbook 14X OLED. The sale spec is i5 but with 16GB RAM which is sufficient for my use. No touch and pen support but I can live with that.
How is it so far??
@@adilnaseer1008 Running well. No issue so far. Hooked up to a dock with two monitors display. Highly recommended.
Was considering getting this. Thanks for the review.
was looking for this laptop's review man, and you nailed it!
Great review on this amazing deal of a laptop. I've been looking for a good review to see if there were any glaring issues with the laptop, but the cons seem to be very negligible. Subbing!
great review! rlly thinking of getting one now
Very nice and informative review!
This PC is definitely a solid win for 2023 Andrew and you are correct that at $999.00 it’s a Steal! Nothing to complain about except maybe the soldered RAM but everything else seems to be perfect in my opinion. The 1080p webcam and the internal mic are both clear. The audio from the built-in speakers is not bad, actually pretty good for a Windows PC but still no comparison against the MacBook Pro’s. All and all, this is a great buy for anyone looking to get something like this that will not break the bank! Lastly, I will agree with you Andrew that in 2023 no one should own a PC with less than 16GB of RAM as this should be the minimum. Brilliant review my friend as always!! 👌👍😁

hi! nice review here! im just curious, what is the pen model that you used for the laptop? is it included in the box? thanks!
Thanks for your excellent review. I'm now totally convinced to buy it once I get to the US next month.
Based on the benchmarks is it really worth going for the 16gb version? Thoughts ?
Hello Andrew, Would you recommend this laptop for software development and programming?
one of the best review i’ve ever watched on youtube. liked the video and subscribed to the channel. thank you for this great review sir 🎩
Appreciate it 👍
Got mine from best buy for under $750. Their deals for some laptops are insane.
How’s the hinge quality? Will it last?
Great video🙏🏿
Andrew: Excellent review of an excellent laptop. That will be of much benefit to me as I make my decision on which one to purchase. I very much value your reviews.
Nice PC for the price no doubt. Camera appears very good and mics sounded clear. Speakers sounded very good. Remember just about everyone who buys this will not have a MAC pc to compare the speakers to and when they first listen to this will aporeciate the good speakers. Like the port selection on this. Display is excellent. It is good it comes with the proper power adapter. Overall agree with you this is a "steal" for what one gets. Great review as always.
Thanks William!
Hi Andrew, Thanks for this informative review, i'm pretty much sold on this model, i just have one question - does the Zenbook Q420 come with Wifi6? Best buy website has no info on wifi specs.
It does
Hi andrew does the charger support PD technology, meaning can I charge it with other chargers that support this technology and get the same efficiency?
Andrew, can you talk about after sales support ?
Do you have a recommended active stylus for this laptop?
Unfortunately, the Q410/420 model does not sale in Europe 😢, only UX3404 model which is much costlier
Great review.
I’m headed to college this coming fall. And I needed a laptop, I just ordered the 2024 version.
On sale for $799 (the 16GB i7-13700H model)! Price Drop - this is amazing value. Asus is getting positive vibes for this model.
Where?
So as a content creator should I have this one or go for MacBook Air m2? they have the same price
Would love to see a 7840U with this
Thank you so much! You basically just sold me this computer. Now time to save =)
Is it available anywhere else? I live in Germany and we don't have BestBuy here.
I have this and there's a grainy texture due to the digitizer. It's noticeable on a white background.
The lack of a fingerprint reader is one drawback I'm seeing especially with passkey logins coming up now replacing passwords. But it is still great for the price.
A week ago, Bestbuy had a discount of $999 for the lenovo slim pro 7 that you recently shared in the channel, at the same price, what would be a better option?
Hi Andrew Between Asus Q420 and Asus FA507NV, which is better for Python and R programming
Can you please drop a link to the pen you are using in the video
The Q420VA I just bought is closed by these tiny fasteners, not like the Philips head screws on my MSI Bravo 15. Are those fasteners matched by a driver a typical person can find or it is some kind of proprietary driver? The holes in fasteners are so tiny I suspect the driver has to made of an extremely hard/tough metal so the fastener choice is an attempt to frustrate opening the back.
I noticed it's only in BestBuy... any means to buy it when you're not from the US ? BestBuy won't ship internationally :(
That for the video
Any hinge problem with the convertible 2 in 1??
Great review as always, Andrew.
I have last year's model that was the blue one exclusive to Best Buy. I dislike the soldered RAM (8GB). But i pruchased mine near mint condition for under $500, so i ain't complaining. Love the screen. Asus made some nice upgrades this year. Wish we had an AMD version.
Are you me? I got the same laptop in the same way (open box)! Absolute steal. Just don't like the RAM and battery. Otherwise it's perfrect.
Hi it's now for 500$
I want to buy it but there's 2 problems:
First, the oled screen is so beautiful but i need it for my work and i use excel for several hours so i will get screen burn-in and dead pixels so fast and i can't afford repairing it
second, the 8gb ram is a bit low and not future proof
I found the Dell Inspiron that comes with Ryzen 5 7350U but it also has 8 gb ram soldered to the mother board
I found the Hp pavilion that comes with i3 1215U for 350$
Which one do you think is best for me?

Andrew I can’t find that version here in PH :( can I buy it to you? I am really convinced with this model because on how you review it
😢
Currently, 699, I'm gonna check it out tomorrow at best buy, I'm excited to get a Windows laptop finally.
Would you recommend this for music producction or video
The I7 model with 16gb and 512gbssd was just on Sale for 799 price ($200 off) from Best Buy's flash sale Yesterday! The price was even more of a steal!
Now 699 at best buy
Yeah, I just ordered mine for $743, including tax. What a crazy deal, omg.
Is it sold yet in the European market cause seems I cannot find any link?
Which pen did you use with this?
Hey Andrew, hope you are doing good. Can you review Asus Zenbook Pro 14 OLED 2023 that would be great.
I am able to pick up a Asus ZenBook 14" 2.8K OLED (512GB) Ryzen 5 7000 Series. Can you please advise me if there is any difference between this and the model you reviewed in your video?
Main difference will be in battery life, some cpu performance differences and no Thunder Bolt support(though that may just require an update).
i've been using this. the hinge cover is plastic (the only part) and its now creaking a bit when pressed, but never in normal day to day use.
can this edit videos 1080p and 4k? I know having a graphics card is good for it but this laptop seems great. If it can edit, I will buy for sure
1080p yes maybe light 4K video editing but not ideal. Look at pro version
How much is it for the graphic card variant?, touch/non touch doesn't matter.
Can’t decide between this or the um535? I’m not a gamer and use it mostly for browsing and work. Any suggestions?
Hi, in italy market there is a version with rtx3050, is good or not, can be consumed more battery?
ASUS does not sell a replacement charger for the Q420 (adp-90re b). Ideas as to where to buy or to get a safe/solid OEM?
Any idea, if it will come on the european market soon?
how convenient is it to use the sensor and pen if the opening angle is 180, not 360?
I’m torn between this one and the lenovo slim 7 pro that comes with AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050. I need it for coding and video editing.
I got a new one for $835 couple of weeks ago, and really like it running two monitors. The 3050 really makes a difference!
Andrew what do you think in best budget laptop for a photographer using mostly photoshop that needs a second laptop on the go: Asus Zenbook 14X OLED Q420VA-EVO.I7512, i7-13700H/14.5 2.8K OLED Touch 120Hz/16GB/512GB SSD in my country for about 1020 euro ---- or : Lenovo Slim 9 14IAP7 14" Touch OLED 3840x2400 i7-1280P,32GB,1TB ssd for about 1290 euro. I understand that those two laptos aren't that good for video editing, but do you think is possible to use them for just a little lets say: DaVinci video editing 4k 30fps clips for a final video from 1 to max 15 minutes? Thank you in advance for your time!
It's $799 right now at BestBuy. I pulled the trigger
how you like the laptop so far?
Trying to find Asus Zenbook 14/14X and S OLED 13 over the last few years in the UK has been impossible. Currently sellers incl Asus don't have stock and it seems others are trying to offload 11th gen Intel chip variants. Seems a bit of a supply chain issue and hence old stock only now on sale.
Amazon has these from around 1300 to 1800 gbp ranging from i7 with integrated graphics to the i9 with the RTX 4060
Just ordered mine for $699, deal ends tonight.
if I order it online, does it already include everything? like the OS? is it ready to use?
Yes
It's on sale for $700 at best buy now. I'd like to have a larger SSD, but I can't say no at that price.
Guys, does this notebook support more than one monitor plugget at the same time? One on HDMI and there is another port for a extra display?
Fun fact: this is on sale at Best Buy right now at $800
I got the Intel version (i7 13700H and 16GB) open box (excellent) at Best Buy for $635
Edit: Thought I’d mention that it was just shy of $700 after tax. But man, amount of laptop you get for less than 700 is absolutely incredible.
I got really lucky and got this laptop for under a $100 (the 16 gb model.)
How is it now did you have any issues with that
Hi!
I want to buy the 8gb version since there is a discount now it's only for 500$ in best buy
The problem is the screen is oled it's so beautiful but it gets burn in and Dead pixels so fast especially that i'm going to use on excel for a long time so the screen will get dead pixels so fast
Can you please advise of a laptop that has the same specs with lcd screen and in the same price range?
Will 8GB ram be enough for a student or casual use, not much gaming? And will the battery life be better with the i5?
I would say so. But if you plan on doing any productivity work that requires more RAM, I would say shoot for the 16GB version. Right now Bestbuy(if you live in the US or Canada) have the 17 16GB version on sale for 100 less than the 8GB i5 one
How’s the battery life?
Do you have a video showing how to remove the back? I've seen a lot of videos with different models and the rear rubber foot pads are different...where there are 2 screws for the hinge. This model have the one long rear rubber pad so im not sure if i remove that whole piece or not. Anyone have info on this? Much appreciated if you do
my only issue is the heat it gets pretty hot and loud randomly
Just purchased this from BestBuy at the $699 sale price. There is a noticeable pink graininess on lighter colors or very extreme contrast differences. This causes a blur and almost out of focus look. I’ve determined it is because of the touchscreen with OLED. I don’t think I can get used to it. Wanted something cheaper than my MacBook Pro. But my mini-led MPB looks far superior to this!!
I dont see any pink graininess on mine. might be defective.
Is this good budget laptop for coding as a career?
Which stylus/ pen works with this laptop?
Thank you sir. Just found the perfect laptop for my wife's birthday. She desperately needs one.
By far one of the best laptop reviewers on RUclips.
Thanks for the kind words!
What is the q540 model? It’s so confusing it’s not branded as zen book

@Andrew please help - what is the difference between the Q420VA and the UP3404VA?! Is the UP3404VA worth the extra cost?
That is the convertible model
@@andrewmarcdavid Thank you. Love your videos by the way.

Is this exclusive to Bestbuy?
HEADS UP!! Best Buy has this Laptop on sale again at $699 + tax, I just picked one up for $758 out the door this morning :) For the specs I think it's a screaming deal and there is no other laptop with this value right now. The only drawback is the reflective display but I am hoping I can just deal with it as I thankfully don't do too much stuff outdoors.
