Agreed, the screen pad is so user unfriendly and difficult to customise, it became a terrible experience, until I used an external mouse, and then the pad could be used a permanent window to Teams alerts or emails while using the main screen for productivity. So in the end, great, but in all other respects, hmmm, a firmware update to get rid of useless apps would be perfect.
The screen pad can be used as a second monitor, just remove the driver for the screen pad and the system will automatically recognize it as another monitor.
that's how I use it.

It's the SCREAM PAD - when it locks up and you have to reboot to get the computer working again . . . it makes you want to SCREAM ! :-O !
Hahaha! Sadly all the ASUS ScreenPad devices have issues like this. I think it is a Windows issue tbh. The software has a few bugs when making use of third-party OS intergrations.
They should continue this and improve it lol.

Hey i was wondering ,when the screenpad freezes as you said it did, does the touchscreen still work to idk lets say save what you were working on before restarting the laptop because the screenpad froze ?
Sorry for the delay. Yes the touchscreen and even the touchpad on the ScreenPad works. Just the visual aspect of the ScreenPad stops working.

The 'screen pad' would only be useful if Windows can use it as a second display.
Can you have a youtube or streaming video playing on the pad as a second display, while you work on the main screen ?
Sadly you can't on this one. The ZenBook Pro 14 Duo has that larger screenpad which is used as a completely separate screen. You can drag tabs to it and work on it.
@@GLITCHEDZA Thank you. They should just make all their screenpads as hardwired 2nd Displays... Making any external monitor the 3rd Display.
It would be great to work/play/game on your main laptop screen, and play a second video on the ScreenPad (training, the football game, news, movie, etc.) that you can give some small attention...
Hi, just got one, you can use the touch screen and drag any window such as Netflix to the bottom screen

Can you tell me if the built quality is good or bad?
Can you also say if the hinges are built strong, well, plastic or not?
It is built very well. The outer shell is metal and the inner shell is plastic but it is sturdy. The hinges are also very strong.

@@poppincam No the area around the keyboard is plastic. The display frame is also plastic.

honestly, this should have been equipped with a Ryzen 6000 APU. Would perform much better. Specially with the GPU. It's a miss from Asus...who probably got paid by Intel.
The GPU they picked for this laptop is a entry level GPU. Very disappointing on a “high performance” laptop.
