Yes, Asus are killing it in the laptop sphere. Innovative yes, appealing ...absolutely! Their gaming models are head to head with MSI. For me, both Zenbook and Vivobook range are affecting HP's and Dell's bottomline. Execellent review Bro!
Hi Mike i have a question regarding the battery life on this laptop how long it take time from 100%. because it seems its not exceed 5 hours with normal work like browsing and writing and exploring the PDFs (not a heavy work like gaming etc.)
It’s possible that’s correct. It’s a high powered laptop by default so depending on what apps are installed and what’s running in the background, your screen brightness, Wi-Fi signal strength etc. that could well be normal. Have you changed the power profile to ‘maximum battery savings’?

Dude. Not unfair at all. This is just my opinion but for me it’s the Asus all day long. The battery seemed longer, the 14” screen size is great for me because I carry it around every day AND work from my lap. And the build quality issues with Dell (think trackpads for a start) worry me a little too much right now. And finally it’s less expensive so that’s even better 😱.

I appreciate what M1 and M2 have done for thin and light computers, but I'm a Windows user. I don't want to learn a new OS.
I guess it's the 14 inches, I went for the slightly bigger 14,5 paired with the I - 7 12 700 H, but on the other hand, no light on the keyboard ! and the 14 hundreds bucks rather hurt !

Nope, either you model has it or it doesn’t. It gets confusing because some manufacturers make the same model in touch and non touch versions (!) but you’re not doing anything wrong!

It’s always better to get dedicated graphics if you can live with the battery life but to be fair, running photoshop isn’t really gonna cause any issues on iris!

Hey Cody. If you're an android phone user anyway, I really don't see why I'd spend nearly double to get the m2 Air unless you just absolutely love the design / macOS for some reason. The Asus is a great Windows laptop with a stunning screen!

I think it’s better! I don’t think 4k really works well on windows laptops as the scaling isn’t worth the battery life drain. All the new 2k, 3k, screens still look amazing AND have better battery life.

Hey Zain! I was pretty impressed by it. My normal usage is web / light office work and I was easily seeing 5-6 hours, and more like 7-8 with a medium brightness. Obviously, YMMV but for what it was, I thought that was pretty good!
@@mikedropstech I dont have any preferred software. Its for work, basic usage, RUclips, Office etc. but I need the fastest, no crashes, battery life and ill not buy another in 5 years. I use iPhone/AirPods/applewatch, so i think the ecosystem can help in some cases. I use Windows since i was born. MacBook costs 50% more than zenbook in my country.
Got it. They’re both great for what you need but, if you’re keeping 5 years and want serious battery life then the MacBook Air is the Amy to go given you’re already in the Apple world. It may cost more now, but it’ll be worth more later too!

As a 30 yr veteran of Windows, it bugs me to say it, but this model may well be the winner in this battle.. time will tell and at least Apple has a good return policy if I'm wrong!
Fair enough. I may drop a quick comparison of those 2 if I can squeeze it in. The OLED is so stunning it’s incredible, even against the MBP but I know there’s plenty of benefits on the Apple side also. I’m using the 14” Pro right now as a daily although switching to the M2 Air tomorrow now that it’s arrived, but every time I use the Macs I still find myself missing a little Windows love 😳. It’s just great to have so many good choices. Let me know how you like the Mac if you go for it and bear in mind the Asus spec I reviewed is $600 less 😱
@@mikedropstech just got the MBP 14 on Friday (8/14 with 32GB RAM and 1TB SSD). After 25 years as a Windows user I'm converted! It's an absolutely amazing piece of electronics! It even opens large AI and PSD files much faster than my desktop that sports a ryzen 7 5800x, 32gb ram and a 6gb nvidia 1070. I love that the MBP is powerful plugged or unplugged and is already my primary device in my office with 2 external monitors. I still have the windows box set up and use Logitech Flow to move between both machines. Now I'm just waiting for my phone contract to end so I can switch to the iPhone from my s21 ultra and enjoy more than just what I can do with my MBP and iPad (which is pretty cool BTW). I've tried switching to Mac once before but this is the first device and mac os that has made the transition actually enjoyable. Although, why Microsoft Outlook for Mac removed the ability to sort by category still makes me shake my head. Still not a deal breaker though! We'll see if I still feel the same after a few weeks, but so far so good!

Agree, I think a litter larger WH battery would be good - battery life is a little low but not bad. Otherwise I am really happy with the Q420 model.

I haven’t tested the i9 but generally speaking, there should be a small bump in performance. Nothing crazy though.
