I think the title should say 'How to FAT a fixed appliance'.
Looks nice and easy on the bench, probably not so easy on your hands and knees under a kitchen work surface.
Surprised you did not check the fuse in the 'fuse connection unit'.
So the building electrics need to be turned off and everyone has to stop work whilst you are FATing, that will cost the company.
Not sure it is a good idea to keep bending the buildings solid core wires, they are not designed to be bent all the time, the earth wire will snap, so your FAT may cause a fault as opposed to preventing one.

Also, disconnecting and re screwing the wires back in will damage the copper wire strands, this will compromise the earth continuity and make the fixed appliance unsafe.
Personally I think it is better to leave the fixed appliance connected and just do an earth continuity test from the nearest mains socket.

Exactly - it is fixed, full stop. I have fixed appliances with cables hidden in the wall. Connecting/disconnecting them every year will cause conductor eventually to break and I will have to re-run cables in the wall. What a fantastic idea!

Should have done a function test first.... No point in testing a heater that isn't working an will need replacing

Only a Millwall fan would consider using before testing 🥴
