Had the Kewtech KT 71 for the past 13 years . Basically it is a business in a box . I got a smart carry case with plenty of compartments .
I went for mains operated as battery testers seem to have issues after 5 years

My old 2000i powers up the equipment and does all kinds of other tests for industrial equipment. Heavy and slow though.

Hi I'm looking at the seaward primetest 100. Is there a difference between the 100 with or without the 5th on the front

I bought a metrel gammapat, it has the 'capability to store and download' but you cannot download unless you pay a fortune for the software, so its innacurate surely to make out its a downloadable tester when you have to shell out for the better model (ie pay for the licence or buy the same model with the licence).
You should also run some tests on the metrel - you should find it is highly dangerous IMO as it does the tests wrong, class I as Class II - not fit for purpose if you use its auto tests.
Support should come into it also, metrel support do not seem to care if lives are put at risk.

You can download the results from any downloadable tester to a computer, if you have the correct cabling & connectors, and suitable terminal software (such as PuTTY, HyperTerminal, etc.).
The various PAT software you can buy just gives you that functionality, plus all the database gubbins.
No experience with the Metrel, I'm afraid, but surely it's down to the competent user to decide what class of tests is appropriate to run on each appliance? Certainly looks that way in the GammaPAT manual...

thinking of buying the martindale 600 might seam like a silly question but do all new testers come with a new valid 12 month calibration certificate, I seen on your website that you can order a custom certificate for £25 is that just an extra charge if you want a certificate with your company name on it ?
