I'll never forget the day I got laid-off from a job for the first time in my life. It was on a day when I had tickets to see The Who in the front row that night. I got laid off and went home and told my wife the "devastating news" and I wasn't sure if I should go to The Who gig that night. She told me I absolutely should go. And out of the blue, The Who played Another Tricky Day out of the blue for the first time in many years. I practically cried. And in less than a week I secured a new job making more than I did at the previous place. Because of that, Another Tricky Day will always hold a special place in my heart.

I'm Jack, neighbor's phone, -i was 19 and can identify, felt exactly the same, luvd this album, and Tattoo you, felt like my favorite old bands were back in 81, -with, despite all the ups n downs I've had since then, I still feel like I own the world, but you're right, it's gone beyond loony toons so don't really want it, good enough with just me!

Not long before this album came out my first wife declared that she didn't love me and was leaving. Faces Dances, the album, and this song helped me to hang on and get by. I've always been grateful to the Who for that.

I’m growing old, but man The Who and a plethora of bands of the time, put out such quality albums - so many great hits - this type of quality music and lyrics with such longevity of brilliance is rare today.

This song rarely gets any radio play, which makes no sense whatsoever. One of the Who's best songs.

the best point of the who is having good melody by vocal and guitar,having strong beat by bass and drums.
Pete Townshend is a genius! What a great song about life! This is what gave me the courage and inspiration the day I made my first cold calls as a saleman in downtown Cleveland! Thanks to The Who, I made it through, again and again!

The lyrics are sublime by Townsend, so prolific and still stands the test of time nearly 38 years later. Roger is at the top of his game with his vocals, Townsend's harmonies are spot on,. Jones is refreshing to hear on the drums; not much in-fill, just keeping a solid beat which was perfect for this song....and the bass, well let us just say that John turns in another perfect performance. One of the best Who tunes of all time. Each performer exhibits excellence, diversity, timing and pitch-perfect singing...Nice job boys
Trying to learn lyrics to Eminence Front..seemed like haiku..you cannot transpose the lines. ATD is so rhythmic that you can recite the words without knowing the melody and yet the melody will be hinted at by the words! Amazing.

Pete Townshend and Roger Daltry's voices are so different, yet they compliment each other well. In this one they both sing together and do quick back and forth solos. Love it.

Thanks for the beautiful music...the good ol' rock and roll! John Bonham and Keith Moon were drummers beyond this universe...even when they were alive & I'm sure that they're still playing up above or wherever we may go! Mysterious!!!! Pete Townshend guitar playing is mind blowing as was Jimi Pages. I was lucky to see Led Zeppelin in 1975 @ the Los Angeles forum & I wanted to be in front of sexy Robert Plant. Fortunately I was in the 9th row right in front of Jimi Page & they say that he was into the hodo/video....whatever was happening that man had me mesmerized to the max!!! The light show was bitchin' & he played SO many different guitars - oh MY heart and soul! It wasn't hard for it to blow me away because I was trippin' on some "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds - HA!!!! I must add that we've recently lost one of the greatest guitarist..."Prince"! I've seen him live twice....the second time all by myself & an awesome after concert party that I had to find by myself- kinda scary/VERY EXCITING!!! Hey, not everyone loves "Prince"...to each their own. He was outrageously talented on ALL the instruments & he passed on from too much opiates in the ELEVATOR! Thanks to ALL the musicians on this planet EARTH as well as beyond this planet EARTH. Me and my girl friend Sandra Popov sang this in her car when her dad brought his guitar. It was a summer afternoon in the 1980s. Those were the days!
Two extremely gifted vocalists in one band, with two completely different sets of vocal qualities. One of the best songwriters of the 20th century (not just in rock). Arguably the greatest rock bassist. And, well, Keith Moon. (Props to Kenney Jones)
Listened to Face Dances for the first time at the start of May 2022. I had just committed to college, a big time of accepting new beginnings, which has always been overwhelming for me. Listened to this album on May 1st, then that Tuesday May 3rd I got asked to prom. Spent the whole month simultaneously planning for prom with the thrill of my first love, wrapped up senior year of high school with all of the fun end of school events that took place, went and actually saw The Who in concert, went on class field trips, went to the beach, and had my first kiss. Every day was something new and fun. May 2022 ended up being one of the if not the best month of my young life so far, and all throughout, songs like Another Tricky Day and You Better You Bet and Cache Cache were playing in my earbuds. For that reason, I will forever treasure this album. This song brings the nostalgia already.

Jones is a drum legend. Drummer for Faces. Was not meant to replace moon was meant to do exactly what he does.....keep time and play tight.

My wife, best friend andI met John at an art event he hosted. He was such a humble gentleman. Wearing his red cowboy boots and Boris The Spider necklace he spoke to each person as a dear friend.
On display at the gallery were various renditions of his “Who By Numbers” series which were quite nice.
We miss him greatly.

Wooo this was a great tune. Rogers vocals and Pete’s are totally dialed. It’s even a good video. No nonsense no special effects, no need! This music speaks for itself. I don’t know how people can listen to the crappola on the radio today. Glad I was born in the 60”s.

The greatest band ever! That bass is so bad ass! Such a tight band.
So many ways Townshend blows my mind. This is The Who in its end-stages. About done, they are, but not dead. Townshend does what he can't help himself from doing--he insinuates himself into the middle of one of his great songs. And he makes it into a better song.
This is a cracking good tune. Lucky to have had some of the best musicians in the business all in one band. And of course not forgetting Keith. Still a huge miss after all these years.

Don't Let Go The coat is one of my faves of all time. I remember getting the cassette before my Dad died in 81.
....I was cruising down the Meadowbrook Parkway on my way to Jones Beach when this record came out...this song makes the Face Dances Album worth the price.

great underrated tune by a great yet underrated band. I only say that because with all the great albums and material they had over a couple decades, they never had a no 1 album. Blew my mind. Still sold over 100 million albums when the population was about half of what it is now. WHen it meant something. God/Jesus bless and save all that read this.
