I've never been terribly impressed with the Altima sedan back when it was introduced and I have to say that this has done little to improve my opinion. If it's still available then I'd pick the Maxima.
In my opinion, the daytime running light needs to stretch the full length of the headlight like the Sentra. The wheels look plastic in person because of the finish. The gap between the headlight and engine cover is slightly less abrasive but still noticeable and a concern in stormy weather. The fake front vents look terrible from the side because it follows no body lines and needs fog lights. It would be cool to see a black line followed from - front (real) intake to the grill. The lack of a blacked out front chrome V-Motion grill kind of leans away from their design language in comparison to the previous model. I like the interior screen though!
Still don't understand the concept. The purpose of the CVT is for better mileage and one gear then they add simulated gears with a turbo? So why not go back to an automatic? Defeats the purpose of having a cvt to begin with.

Great minds think a like!
Great review and you asked why would someone go with the 2.5 without the Turbo. We bought our 17 year old daughter a 2023 Altima SR without the turbo because it is fast enough for her. Actually her’s is pretty darn quit for what it is and we have to watch her lead foot. So that is why.
i’ve owned a 2022 altima for the last 10 months and all i can say is the side mirrors suck. the transmission needs to be an automatic, awd needs to be an option WITH the vc turbo, and some other things in that direction and this thing would definitely be a nice lil car
CVTs get a bad rap. Yes they drone and yes you don’t get the traditional gear change sound and feel but the tech and what it does for performance/ fuel mileage gets overlooked. F1 engineers and builders would go nuts if they could use CVT in fact Williams F1 tested one in there car in the early 90s😊
I have it and really like it… feels similar to my previous 2018 Infiniti Q50 - little less power and not as “sticky” on the acceleration due to the FWD but I got a good deal on a lease and ran with it
What radar detector do you recommend
2017 V6 Accord was doing 5.7 sec 0-60 so this is good
I had the previous gen, and loved the about of storage, trunk, glove box, door pockets, and elsewhere, but now it has has the amount of storage for a family sedan.
Why does it say “Sentra” in the video title?
I would consider Camry V6 at that price point. More horse power, and actual transmission. Sure infotainment system is outdated but it does the job. Not to mention it has a panoramic sunroof.
Needs the 9sp trans and fog lights
Were u in D Sport the whole time?
I think we ought to sponsor a bill in congress that forbids CVT transmissions in all cars. Crikey, if Mazda can still offer a 6 speed auto in their cars, why can't everyone else. The auto is the primary reason I'd give the Mazda a nod over pretty much any other brand right now.
This one is NICE! Way better looking than the new Accord, in my opinion. Can't wait to see what the new Honda Accord sport looks like, though.
Fingers crossed it looks the part!
It looks white not gray?
2022 wrx is needed my dad bought my brother one and then bought one for him same day…. it’s his 5th wrx i don’t know the other models but these two new ones are 2022’s i’d love to seee what you think
Looks good …but not a big fan of the rims on this one !
It’s a good looking vehicle…..except for cvt. Hey Joe, what do you think of Nissans VC turbo ? Thanks ! 👍
Only thing I would do is add all wheel drive, with the 2.0 engine
Ready for other awesome review!!
Thanks for being here! That really means the world!
@@RaitisRides Yessir and you’re welcome. I’m happy to be here.
This is not a Sentra.😳
Sorry about the mixup.
The best Altima yet, i just hope it gains a more powerful motor (even if it ain't the V6),
a 2.0Turbo with more horses, at 300 HP
It is crazy that Nissan
I like the way Nissan did the Altima good video Joe
It looks great, and Joe you make great videos; but please fix the title. That's an Altima not a Sentra.
Need to crank up the Bose stereo and drown out that turn signal...good review as always Joe.
