Thanks so much for sharing your experience! That's exactly what makes these places so special; it is great to get real-world perspectives, and your visit to Hinkle Fieldhouse and walking through Butler makes these venues even more special. We appreciate you adding that detail about the Central Canal Trail!
That's awesome to hear! Thanks for the great feedback! We really appreciate you taking the time to comment, and we are so glad you liked it! Hope you keep enjoying our future content!
I had a feeling that Williams Arena would be mentioned. It was one of the toughest places for visitors back in 1997, the year when Minnesota Golden Gophers basketball team was the Big 10 champions and Final four competitors.
That's such a great connection to Williams Arena! The '97 Gophers were truly special. I hope other fans chime in with their memories of that time as well. Thanks for sharing your perspective!
KC Municipal Auditorium: the NBA Kansas City Kings played there in late 70s, and the 76ers' Darryl Dawkins stopped the game because he shattered the backboard in 1979.
That's an amazing story! Thanks for sharing! Do you remember seeing that game? I'd love to hear more about it. That's a unique piece of basketball history that you've uncovered.
Thanks for pointing that out! You are correct. UMKC's regular season games are played at the Swinney Rec Center on campus, while the MIAA Tournament is indeed held at the Municipal Auditorium. We appreciate you clarifying that for us and our viewers!
Thanks for pointing that out! You're absolutely right, Allston is a neighborhood within Boston We appreciate the correction and will keep that in mind for future content
Wow, that's concerning news! Thanks for bringing this to our attention. It's more crucial than ever to appreciate these venues while they're still here. We're genuinely saddened by this news. 😔
Probably because it was built in 1950s and not where OSU plays games regularly since 1998 (there are many schools which still have their older gyms on campus even if they no longer play in them regularly, so guess based on where teams play/list as their home courts)
That's a great call out; St. John Arena definitely has a significant place in basketball history, and we know many fans cherish it. However, our criteria for this video were focused on arenas that are both old and currently the primary active venues for college basketball teams. We appreciate you bringing up St John's and maybe we can do a video about all the old inactive arenas soon!
Wow, you clearly know your stuff! That's a perfect explanation; both the build date and the active use criteria are spot on. Thanks for sharing your insight and clarifying for everyone; that makes it even more clear for our viewers!
I have been to Hinkle Fieldhouse and the Campus of Butler University in Indianapolis. The Central Canal Trail runs through the Campus

UMKC Roos play their games on campus at the Swiney Rec center. The MIAA tournament is played in Municipal

Been to Rose Hill in the Bronx, the Palestra in Philly, Mathews but for Ice Hockey.
Thanks for sharing! Those are some incredible venues with rich histories.
Great to hear about your experiences!
Allston is a neighborhood in Boston, not a separate place. The "proximity to Boston" commentary is incorrect.
Thanks for pointing that out! You're absolutely right, Allston is a neighborhood within Boston
We appreciate the correction and will keep that in mind for future content
If you want to see Matthews you had better go soon, sadly it will be razed after this season. 😢

Why didn’t you include St. John’s Arena at Ohio State University
