Must say, this guy interviewing is doing a great job here. During a press junket, these things are droning and almost mindless repetition for the actors, this interviewer still focused on the film but tried to be a least a little novel. His opening question aside, he did a good job.
Joesph's one of the best underrated actors of his generation, great guy too.

crazy stuff how this is from 2009 but looks straight from the 90's
i actually hoped for a proper ending for this, but instead we get a lead up for a sequel, with no sequel.
i think its more meaningful than that, its like things didnt worked with summer, but you will always find another girl
The meaning was much more than that. Summer and Tom were never meant to be and this was subtly shown throughout the entire film. Summer would always be dressed in blue-ish tones and Tom would always wear something in brown-ish tones. Whenever Tom was with Summer, he would be surrounded by blue things, because he was in her world, and he stood out like a sore thumb, he wasn't supposed to be there. It was all in the wrong conditions.
As soon as he entered the right environments for his world for what he wanted to do (Architecture) he meets Autumn and suddenly you realise everything about her is brown as well as him. She is the one. He's in the right environment, he's doing what he's always wanted and that's why the narrator says "...he's sure."
It's not about finding another girl, it's that Summer and Tom's worlds would just never be at the same wavelength no matter how hard they tried to make it work. As soon as he met Autumn, everything was right, and you just know it.

An Aussie what lead up to a sequel are you referring to? There is no lead up, they break up in good terms in the end and that's that. Besides she was already married, are you referring to the Autumn scene? If so, ehhh that's not a clear indication of a sequel, it was more of "you're gonna be ok after all Tom"

He's awesome. I'm glad he's become as successful as he is, hopefully his success will continue for many years to come. I would really like to see him in the next Batman film as the Riddler. The only other guy I could see doing it would be Johnny Depp. But Joseph is amazing.

This was such a great movie, it was`nt your typical romance movie.

This movie is truly one of the greatest films of all time. I hate that it's almost like an indie cult classic because while that's good - I just feel like this is so much better than a movie like the Notebook. It should always be in the conversation for "what was one of the best romance movies ever created"

the whole part in the movie and in this interview where he says "she's better than the girl of my dreams, she's real". That is a direct quote from an episode of MY SO CALLED LIFE! It may not be intentional but i know every word of that series. Its a scene where the teacher reads shakespeare to the class and Brian Crachao and Jordan Catalano agree on this same idea and they're speaking of ANGELA ; in case anyone is as dorky as me lol.
